Is a Dathomirian Nightbrother. His mommy was a big deal nightsister and was super down to have her kid become a sith Lord(tm), so she shipped him off to the Empire after spending most of his childhood grooming him to have a pretty strong connection to the dark side, which he does. Rend was not technically  a “slave”, but since he was from a female-dominated culture (an ALIEN culture no less), he was tossed in with the slaves.

His exposure to dark side magick, rather than traditional sithy stuff, has made it difficult for him to really embrace sith teachings about hate and fury and death and murderstabbykilling. He knows you don’t NEED to kill 9485390458309458304958 people and seethe constantly to be able to shoot lightning from your fingers, so why should he bother? But he enjoys the clout of being a sith acolyte and is honestly only pushing through his trials bc looks forward to seeing his mom again someday.

has the biggest mouth in the galaxy and will talk shit to absolutely everyone, regardless of if they’re imperial grunts or a dark council member.  It stems from her time as a slave. She was often restrained in some way or another, so lashing out verbally was her only means of “getting even”. She killed her master in a rage-based-accidental-force-lightning-out-of-nowhere incident, and rather than get murdered, she was selected by my other naughty sith lord Vagua to go through training on Korriban.

But Alozai hates Korriban. She hates the the racist idiot sith around her. She hates the weather. She hates sand. It’s a terrible, miserable place and the only joy she feels throughout her day revolves around pushing Overseer Harkun’s buttons (an activity Vagua encourages). He’s such a useless, puny little human man and she thrives on watching him stumble, resorting to the same “slave” insult, unable to keep up with her verbal lacerations. It makes her feel like she finally has some sort of power over someone else, for a change.
