Owl House is really nice

#the metaphors aren’t incredibly heavy handed and they also warm my heart #being like ‘aw they’re normalizing needing daily medication’ #and ‘oh trans coded plot in the wizard school show’ #also King’s character design is my favorite thing ever #a lot of the designs are also just so neat and make me smile #also one thing I’ve mentioned in a couple different conversations lately is how like #like I like a lot of stuff that’s technically made for kids even though they have adult fans and stuff #but one thing that often makes me just not like a cartoon would be it’s sense of humor #but I also wouldn’t call that a ‘criticism’ exactly because like kids like their hyper loud and zany characters #like I don’t think childrens media is exempt from criticism but the humor is one thing that I don’t think should be criticized #unless it’s bigoted or something #because the only reason why I don’t vibe with it is because I’m not the target audience #but anyway it’s rare that a cartoon makes me laugh at all like it’s usually just ignorable and still has a good plot #but owl house has been actually making me laugh so far #also I’m high on prescription pain killers because I’m recovering from top surgery #so maybe it’s not actually that funny but I’m having a good time
