just pulled off the greatest fucking scam in dnd

so, party needed horses, i (a druid) cast conjure animals which conjures 8 horses. our party of 6 only needed 6 horses. because we’re idiots, one of my other party members had stolen a horse from a stable so i went to that same place knocked on the door and went “hey i’m selling these two horses, would you like some horses” they were like “omg we just lost a horses, you’re selling horses?!” and i was like “yeah! replace your lost horse with two new ones!” and then i got those people to pay me for two horses, which disappeared one hour later--long, long after my party was gone from town

new get rich scheme: conjure animals and sell them, then leave town before the conjured animals disappear

#to be fair i only made 10 gold off it because my character lowkey felt bad #(since we were not only stealing a whole fucking horse but then conning them out of more money) #but out of character it was the most hilarious thing i've ever done 10/10 would do again #my party has somehow become a band of petty criminals--before i joined they set the ENTIRE TOWN ablaze. we beat up a bunch of guards. #obviously there's an unnecessary amount of stealing shit. oh when we broke into the mayors house one guy just went ham destroying ALL the #vases before we burned the house down when we left #i feel like we've committed more petty crimes but i can't remember #but yeah we committed all those petty crimes without actually killing anyone cause we were trying to be somewhat peaceful #(that's now no longer true because we were attacked by goblins and lost our shit ajghdsg) #(one party member literally like DISINTEGRATED a goblin out of existence) #but yeah it's been lots of fun #also if this post somehow is seen by any of my party members/irls NO IT IS NOT #i would literally cry if my tumblr got found by my irls but also i wanted to share about this scam cause it was so fun #also cause my dm did a cut scene of the guy in the stable one hour later brushing the horses and then the horses just phased out of #existence and he just went ahhhhhhhh #life of a boomerang
