Not terribly impressed with Michael Reaves. Bonus points for apparently spending himself in the first chapter so there hasn't been any more of the boring technical drivel, minus points for singularly uninspired characters, and having Darth Maul refer to himself as a 'grown man'.

#his 'information broker/actually a fencer' character is transparently Han，original character do not steel #he's even from corellia!!!! #and his companion is a droid but they have the exact same dynamic?!?!? #my dude....... #also really generous with the 'UGH the jedi are so SANCTIMONIOUS/ivory tower scholars/etc' #with an unlikable jedi character on an unrealistic 'knight trial' who fails it within thirty minutes of meeting her target #the 'grown man' comment was disorienting when Maul repeatedly identified his species and aliens had been refered to as male/female #rather than man/woman??? like??? the word 'adult' IS RIGHT THERE?????
