not to stir the pot or anything but seeing what constitutes "good criticism" of fandom versus "bad criticism" is pretty disheartening considering I think a lot of fandoms abide by the general views of "let's keep things amicable" and "everyone's just here to have fun" which I think is a very harmful way of viewing things. I fully support the right of people on here to bring up valid criticisms of fandom and others especially if it's an unfavorable opinion considering ppl would rather keep the peace than call out harmful things, but I also think it's very telling what kinds of discourses are acceptable (in that they will inevitable hurt some writers bc in the end what nobody wants to say is that these criticisms ARE in fact pointing to some writers) and what aren't
