The people saying that Hybe is purposely holding BTS back from producing quality content make me wonder. Where is the logic? Look, I don't trust corporations either. Of course the number one priority is profit. Of course provisions are happening to make sure profit continues well into the future, and beyond BTS. BTS aren't at the stage where they are courting a fandom. Their product reflects that. But it simply isn't in Hybe's best financial interest to leave a lucrative fandom high and dry, as you said yourself. Also, did we not just have festa and a whole ass online concert? That took weeks of prep. It isn't that easy to put on a show like that. Why does everyone get sad talking about how 'tired and overworked' Bangtan are, but then want them to maintain the same schedule they had in 2015 when they were proving themselves in a punishing industry? Are we owed extra 'intimacy' because we streamed?

What's funny to me, and by funny I mean gross, is that the same people complaining about the lack of 'fan connection' and calling out members for not caring enough to post selcas or give tours of Hybe, are the ones who have written posts about self pleasure taking place during Run games, fabricated weirdly detailed Jikook break up narratives based on minutes worth of footage, and that paint both Jimin and Jungkook in a frankly awful light. I don't take what they say seriously. They are taking an opportunity to create a provocative narrative. People are feeling especially protective of Jimin right now, so talking about how heartless the people at Hybe are is really hitting the sweet spot.

Sadly, many so called fans just want Jikook content to point at. They want to see them slip up so that they can eat it all up and have a good time gawking. That's all it is. They want personal content so that they can make speculative content. Opinions are free, those are just mine. Others are available.

Honestly, I would rather BTS be a little mysterious and studiously honing their craft, than trying to make me believe that their daily experience is no different from the average person in their twenties. I would rather see quality performances than have them perform carefree personas at times they just aren't feeling it. Maybe that is one of the luxuries of hitting it really big.

Hybe is big now. It's not little company BH with only BTS to make or break it anymore. BTS is a huge piece here, but as I mentioned, Hybe has to build up more brands and push them ahead, they have to think of 'the day after BTS' if they want to survive as a company.

BH is now BTS + others, not just BTS.

As you mentioned, BTS of 2015 is not BTS of 2021. The band has made it not big, they made it huge, world wide huge. The boys/young men are now young adults, and don't forget the pandemic and how that toppled down everything on it's way.

Take those plus the company now going public, meaning every single misstep from the band members can end with plummeting stock prices (this isn't an exaggeration), it's the big boys game now, and all this will have an effect on how the band will be managing it's connection with their fan base from now on.
