“Y/N!” A loud voice yelled from the living room. “You’re gonna be late!” “Whaaaat,” I said, slowly dragging myself out of bed. I was extra tired today and just wanted to sleep for the next month. I dragged my right foot out of bed, slowly sliding it towards to floor, “Ok, fin- OWWWWW!,” I yelped, as my foot accidentally hit my nightstand and knocked it over. I am not having it today. ‘Now i gotta clean this up too,’ I thought, groaning.

I carefully picked up everything that fell out of the drawer, and spotted a small white paper with many signatures written on the back.

“What’s this,” I said, flipping it over, and instantly my eyes got teary. I didn’t know I still had this. It was the last polaroid picture I took with NCT dream. We were at a festival, and.. My eyes instantly went to jeno. He had a peace sign up next to his eye and a giant smile on his face. Chenle and Jisung were looking like little eggs on the floor, while jaemin, renjun, and haechan were in the back with big smiles. Mark was in the corner, looking at everyone. And then I was there. Jeno’s left arm was wrapped around my neck, and my smile was brighter than ever. And I felt the tears fall. Harder than ever. “Y/N? Are u good..” I hear a voice from behind me trail off. “Ohh.” “Chae i don’t know where this came from but..” I said looking down, handing her the photo.

Her eyes immediately lit up, then got droopy again. “Please don’t cry, you’ll be fine,” She said, walking up to me. “Chae, I miss him, I miss them all,” I said, sobbing into her arms. “Shh, c’mon. I made breakfast today, so get up,” She said, dragging me downstairs. After we got settled at the table, I noticed chae’s small smiles ever so often. I finally decided to bring them up.

“What’s so funny,” I asked her. “What? Oh nothing, umm, I'm just happy I got to go to the mall today. I’m bringing you,” She said, looking at her phone. “Oh okay,” I said, bringing out my phone as well. I stared hard at the date. July 1, 2021. If me and jeno were still dating, this would have been our four year anniversary. If he and the rest of dream hadn’t left last year.. I put my phone down. Nope. I need to get over him. “When are we going to the mall?” I asked, hoping it was soon to get my mind off this. “After lunch maybe??” She said, then stared at her phone which just dinged. “No, actually, in the next hour. Get ready.” She said, then ran upstairs. “Uhhh..okay,” I said, going to my room and getting ready. “Oh and also, get ready as if it’s your anniversary or something,” Chae yelled from her room, making me flinch. Does she know today was actually supposed to be my anniversary? I snapped out of it, and yelled ‘okay’ back at her as I picked an outfit. I went with a p long sleeved, white, knee length dress with frizzles at the end. I put on a silver necklace that looked awfully familiar, but I didn't have the time to ponder. I put on white shoes and waited at the door for chae. She came downstairs in blue jeans and a t-shirt, leaving me shocked. “Dude, I literally overdressed, look at you,” I said, pointing at her casual attire and then mine. “Oh trust me, you didn’t, you look so pretty. Now hurry up,” She said, dragging me into the car. In about 15 minutes we got there, and Chae immediately dragged me into one of the separate rooms in the ESPECIALLY giant baskin robbins at the mall. For some reason the one here is the size of a fancy restaurant. “This is where I used to go with Jeno.. Our favorite place..” I said, whimpering. I noticed chae looking at me. She led me over to a seperate chair in the private booth. “Here, sit down,” she said, leading me to a seat under this giant elegant room. “Wow, I did not know baskin robbins had rooms this pretty,” I said, staring around at the decorated room.

“You’ll see,” she said, looking at her watch. “Oh my god they’re here,” She said, jumping up and down and skipping toward the entrance. “Who-” I said, but she left. I waited for a minute until she got back. “Turn around,” Chae said, so I did. “Okay turn back,” She said after a few seconds. “Okay now what-” I said, turning around, then stopped There. I saw him. Lee Jeno. The love of my life, that I thought i had lost forever. Behind him i saw the rest of dream with smiles plastered all over their faces They didn’t look any different. I stood there in shock, letting the tears fall down my face. “Y-you g-guys came b-back,” I said, stuttering, running up to jeno as fast as I could and burying my face in his chest. “You really think I'd forget our anniversary?” He whispered into my ear. I missed his voice. So much. “Yeah!! And we missed hanging out with you y/n. A lot,” I heard chenle say. I sweetly smiled at him and hugged the boy. “You’ve gotten taller,” I said to him. “I’m one year younger than you shut up.” I laughed and looked at the rest of them. The reunion seemed like forever, but that's why I loved it. We had fun again, just like old times, and this time with chae. Near the end, me and jeno had our free time. We walked along the bridge near the river at night. There was wind blowing on our face. I don’t think I'd ever had such a good time. I didn’t know how long they were gonna stay. But I know that Jeno and the rest of NCT dream are the best things that have ever happened to me in my life.
