it's not mother's day where i'm from but it would be for robin and one day i will talk in much more depth about the Complicated relationship she has with her mom

#&. headcanon ( robin buckley. ) #her mom is..... not my favourite person lmao #the reason why robin does so many extracurricular activities ? because her mom enrolled robin while at elementary school #in an attempt to push her to socialise #and getting her into soccer was to help with her coordination after her developmental issues as a toddler #and this is the thing: it's always to /push/ rather than to help #i have muses with way worse parents #and i do think they could repair their relationship later in robin's life #but robin's mom is someone who was a 'perfect' queen bee at school and ends up frustrated when her daughter does not fit the same mould #and then there's dustin. who is extremely close to his mom but also plays a pseudo-parental role with her from time to time #because she's alone and a lil fragile. and because dustin's dad left and dustin subconsciously tries to fill that void #they're two very interesting dynamics to me tbh
