I’m sorry I hurt you
Summary: A couple of days after the argument that caused Amy to leave, Adrian heads over to her old apartment with the hope that he can reconcile with her. After Lily gives in and allows him to enter, Adrian and Amy decide that, if they are to work out their differences, then they need to be honest with one another.
Pairing: Adrian Raines x MC
Author’s Note: I’m very sorry that this has taken so long for me to write; I’ve had quite a bit of part I and II written for some time, but due to personal reasons, I haven’t been able to work on this as often as I have wanted to. However, it’s finally finished - I cannot describe how grateful I am for your patience and guidance during this process; you’ve all been so kind and supportive.

Adrian stands outside the apartment door, his eyes never straying from his shoes as he prepares himself for the grueling ridicule that awaits him, his stomach twisting with nerves and anxiousness. This was not a new feeling for Adrian, for there had been many times that he had had to apologize for a wrongdoing on his part, but with Amy, this felt like a new experience entirely. He takes a deep breath, reaching up to adjust the lapels of his jacket before knocking on the door, holding his fist hesitantly in the air as he waits for any sign of movement on the other side.
He remains there for a minute, doing everything he can to avert his gaze from the entryway before a chirpy voice emanates from within the apartment, its volume growing louder as the figure draws closer to the door.
‘I won’t be a moment...hold on...’
Within seconds, he is greeted by a familiar face; the young woman glances at him, her brows narrowing in confusion and bewilderment as she rests her head against the lintel, eyeing him with intrigue.
‘Adrian?’ She looks past him, peering down the corridor to ensure that no one is privy to their conversation, ‘what are you doing here?’
‘Good evening, Lily; is...is Amy in?’
‘Amy?’ She pauses for a moment, a defeated sigh escaping her, ‘look, I know that you’re here to talk to her but...’ she lowers her gaze to the floor, ‘she doesn’t want to see you; not right now, anyway.’
‘Lily I... I just need to know that she’s alright.’
‘Well you could have just called for that!’ She exclaims, folding her arms across her chest, ‘she’s okay Adrian; a bit more exhausted than usual, but she’s otherwise alright.’
‘Exhausted?’ He pinches the bridge of his nose, exhaling with frustration, ‘you should have called for me...’
‘And how was I supposed to do that?’ She queries, glancing back over her shoulder before fixing him with a stern glare, ‘Amy specifically asked me to refrain from contacting you if it was about her...’
‘Forgive me for being intrusive Lily, but this is no longer just about her...’ he hesitates briefly, choosing his next few words with caution, ‘if she is experiencing complications with her health and well-being now then -’
‘The child is okay, Adrian; I called for the doctor today, and she said that Amy’s exhaustion was most likely caused by stress and...’ she watches him for a moment, soon taking note of his remorseful expression, ‘and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I really do, but...that stress was ultimately caused by you.’
‘I know...’
‘Then you understand why I can’t let you in,’ she lowers her gaze once more, a conflicted expression resting on her face, ‘listen I’m... I’m sorry, Adrian, but you know as well as anyone that my loyalty lies with her.’
‘Lily please...’
‘I can’t betray her trust like that, Adrian,’ she pauses for a moment, the conflict evident in her eyes, ‘I won’t do that to her...I’m sorry...’
‘Lily...’ his hand remains firmly on the wood, his foot embedded in the doorway, ‘please just...let me in to talk to her.’
‘She’s asleep; I don’t want to wake her unless absolutely necessary.’
‘Then I’ll wait until she’s awake,’ he speaks with determination, his eyes never leaving hers, ‘please Lily; you know as well as I that this matter needs to be settled before it escalates into something that neither Amy nor I desire.’
‘And what if it ends badly?’ She qualms, ‘what if she decides that she wants to call time on your relationship?’
‘Then I’ll respect her decision,’ he utters, his voice shaky yet confident, ‘but I would still do anything for her or the child.’
‘Of course you would; you love her,’ she remains silent for a minute, watching him with intrigue before making her mind up about something. ‘She’s probably not going to talk to me for a while if I do this, but...’ she opens the door completely, standing to the side as she gestures for him to enter, ‘come on in, I guess...’
Within seconds, Adrian is in the apartment, his eyes darting to the four corners of the room as he takes in his surroundings; the open-plan space is tidier than usual, and Adrian is able to pick up on a soft smell of honey and lemon carrying through the air from the living room, its sweet aroma causing Adrian to reminisce about the times that he had spent here with Amy.
‘I really do appreciate this, Lily,’ he meets her with a grateful smile, ‘this means more than you know.’
‘Don’t thank me yet, Raines; I can’t exactly guarantee that this is going to go the way you want it to.’
‘I know,’ he nods in agreement, ‘but I truly am thankful that you opened the door; you went against your own judgment, and I won’t forget that.’
She waves her hand dismissively, shutting the door behind him.
‘Yeah… well, don’t make me regret it.’
He makes his way into the living room, following the scent back to its source; a lone candle stands in the middle of the coffee table, the wick just minutes away from burning out. He picks up the candle, running his fingers across the smooth wax before turning his attention back to her. ‘I can remember the day that Amy made these...’
‘I can too,’ she walks over to the cabinet, removing a bottle of red wine and two glasses from the rack, ‘for a hobby that usually consists of runny wax and a whole load of mess, she always manages to keep the place clean.’ She begins to pour the wine, a despondent sigh escaping her, ‘though I’d be lying if I didn’t find the process of candle-making rather interesting.’
‘I have to agree,’ he places the candle back on the table, ‘it’s been a while since she has dabbled with it.’
‘It has...’ she passes Adrian a glass, ‘but we both know that Amy’s current lack of interest in her hobbies isn’t exactly what you’re here for.’
‘I really am sorry for putting you in this situation.’
She shakes her head.
‘Don’t worry about it. I was bound to get involved somehow, and it’s not like I’m being the messenger for either of you.’
‘You would never have needed to if I hadn’t said something stupid.’
‘It was going to happen at some point; I’m just surprised that it took this long if I’m honest.’
He sighs defeatedly, taking a generous sip of his wine. ‘Now you sound like Kamilah...’
‘And what did she say about all of this?’
‘The same thing as you,’ he utters under his breath, ‘she said that she knew I was going to mess things up between Amy and I, as well as how I had been an idiot and lashed out at her over nothing.’
‘Well she did have a point...’
‘Thank you for the vote of confidence,’ he takes another sip, his eyes trained on the rim of his glass, ‘no, you’re right; I knew that I had it in me to be an idiot but... I never thought that I would be with Amy.’
‘She means a lot to you, huh?’
He chuckles slightly, ‘she means everything to me...’ he pauses for a moment, glancing in the direction of her old room, ‘more than anything in the world.’
‘Then you need to tell her that, and it needs to be sooner rather than later.’
‘She won’t talk to me, you said so yourself.’
She ponders over to him, placing her glass on the counter-top before taking a seat on the armrest of the chair beside him. She watches him curiously, crossing her arms over her chest.
‘She will, but not if you just stroll into her room like you own the place.’
‘You know I’d never be like that with her... but I’d be lying if I told you that I knew the best way to go about this.’
Lily nods her head, bringing her knees slowly to her chest. ‘I can go and speak to her if you’d like. I know it’s probably not what you initially had planned, but it might help if I told her what was going on; I’d also be giving her a choice as to whether or not she wanted to speak to you, rather than allowing you to walk in without her consent.’
‘You’d do that for me?’
‘Yes,’ she nudges him slightly, resting a comforting hand on his shoulder, ‘she may be my best mate, but you’re my friend too! I’d do anything to ensure her happiness, and she has found that happiness with you.’
‘I…’ he appears taken aback for a moment, ‘that was a very nice thing for you to say, Lily; thank you.’
‘Well I am known for being wise beyond my years.’
They sit in silence for a moment before Lily stands, turning her attention briefly back to Adrian.
‘I’m going to go and let her know that you’re here; I shouldn’t be long, maybe a minute or two,’ she pauses slightly, ‘but I need you to remember that I can’t force her to let you in, okay? If she doesn’t want to speak to you, then I have to respect her wishes.’
‘Of course; I understand.’
                                   -----------------------------------------------
Lily makes her way down the corridor, her footsteps light and subtle. She arrives at Amy’s door, knocking softly before entering the room; the room is mostly dark, though the bed is illuminated by a dim light on the nightstand, its orange hue casting a golden glow on Amy’s figure as she sleeps, unaware of Lily’s presence. Knowing that she has failed to wake her, Lily clears her throat, the sound of her voice causing Amy to stir from her slumber.
‘Lily?’ She lifts her head slightly, her voice laden with sleepiness, ‘is…is that you?’
‘Hi sweetie,’ the door closes behind her with a soft click, ‘how are you feeling?’
She responds with a tired smile, burying her cheek into the pillows. ‘I’m alright…’ she blinks slowly, her smile faltering as she lifts herself upright, ‘I’ve slept through my alarm again, haven’t I?’
Lily shakes her head. She takes a seat on the bed beside her, tucking a strand of hair behind Amy’s ear.
‘You haven’t, no; Adrian gave you the week off, remember?’
Amy’s brows narrow as she tries to recall the memory of that conversation. ‘Y…yeah he did,’ she runs a timid hand through her hair, ‘of course he did… how could I forget?’ She gazes down at her stomach, her arms wrapping protectively around the bump. ‘Sorry I’m just…’ she smiles down at her abdomen, a soft chuckle escaping her, ‘I guess I have a bit of baby brain.’
Lily exhales giddily.
‘I’m sure I’ll get used to it. In fact, if I’m being honest, I haven’t really noticed any difference… besides the cravings, hormones and the swollen tummy.’
‘So the usual signs of pregnancy, then?’
Lily chuckles slightly.
‘Yeah I guess.’
Amy smiles warmly at her, reaching forward to adjust her blanket. She remains like that for a moment before continuing, her words spoken with a curious tone.
‘Is everything okay?’
‘Yeah! Yes everything’s…it’s great, really.’
Amy raises an eyebrow. ‘Lily,’ she pauses, straightening the creases in the duvet, ‘you’d tell me if something was wrong, right?’
‘Of course! You’re my best friend – I’d tell you anything and everything.’
‘Really?’
She meets Amy with a small smile and a brief nod, but her sincerity doesn’t quite reach her eyes. ‘You know I would, Amy…’
‘I’m sorry, Lily, but I… I don’t believe you.’
Lily looks at her for a moment, shifting uncomfortably on the bed. ‘I…’ she hesitates, ‘okay the…there is something that I’m keeping from you; it’s not that I don’t want to tell you but, at the same time it… it kinda is and I… I don’t know how to – ‘
‘Hey,’ Amy interjects her, taking a hold of her hand, ‘whatever it is, you can tell me. I’m not going to freak out or get angry at you; but if it’s something that I need to know, I’d appreciate it a lot more if you were honest with me.’
‘Okay…’ she mutters, ‘promise you won’t get mad?’
She nods.
‘Adrian’s urm…he’s here to speak to you.’
‘What? Lily I… I told you that I wasn’t ready to speak to him!’
‘I know that!’ She exclaims defensively, ‘It’s not like I contacted him behind your back; he just turned up and asked to see you. Listen I…I know it’s not my place to get involved, but he seems lost; he misses you and… and he wants you to come home.’
‘I don’t think I’m ready to talk to him. Not yet, anyway.’
‘It’s been nearly 5 days, Amy; if you’re not ready to face him after nearly a week, when will you be?’
She bites her lip slightly, glancing down at her hands as she struggles to find the words to say.
‘How is he?’
‘He’s hurting,’ she smiles sadly at her, ‘he really misses you.’
‘What did he say?’
‘That he had been an idiot, and that he feels awful about what happened.’
Amy sighs, bringing her knees a little closer to her belly as Lily drapes a comforting arm around her. She leans into Lily’s touch, nestling her face into her jumper. They remain like that for a moment, wrapped up in silence before Amy starts to speak, her voice soft and quiet.
‘Where is he now?’
‘He’s in the living room; he said that he understands if you’re not ready to talk to him, but he really wants to see you.’
‘Mmm...’ she nods, closing her eyes as she focuses on the sound of her heartbeat.
‘So?’ Lily looks down at her, ‘do you want me to let him in… or do I kick him out?’
Amy chuckles.
‘I’m going to have to talk to him at some point, so I guess I may as well start now.’
‘Atta girl!’ She claps her on the shoulder, ‘but are you certain that’s what you want to do?’
‘If he’s here, it makes sense to see him,’ Amy sighs, ‘otherwise he’s wasted his time.’
‘Okay… firstly, Adrian is a 200-year-old vampire, so he’s got an abundance of time… and secondly, I don’t think he’d see this as wasting his time; you mean a great deal to him.’
‘266.’
‘Huh?’
‘Adrian was born in 1753, so that’d make him 266, not 200.’
Amy smiles mischievously at her; Lily laughs, her arm constricting around her, pulling her into a warm embrace.
‘Trust you to focus on the facts, eh?’ She squeezes her tightly before removing herself from the bed, ‘I’ll let him know that he can come in.’
‘Thank you.’
Lily pauses by the door, her hand hovering over the handle.
‘Do you want me to stay in the room? I don’t mind either way…’
‘I’ll be okay,’ her smile softens, ‘I think that this is something that I have to do alone…but thank you for offering; I really don’t know what I’d do without you sometimes.’
                             -----------------------------------------------------
After conversing with Amy, Lily returns to the living room. Adrian sits pensively on the edge of the sofa, his hands cupped tightly beneath his chin as he stares blankly at the candle. At first, he doesn’t respond to her presence, but as she takes another step towards him, he is shaken from his trance-like state. He rises to his feet, nervously tucking his hands into his pockets.
‘What did she say?’ He takes a step towards her, ‘d…does she want to see me?’
She nods.
‘She said it’s okay for you to go in,’ she pauses, ‘I’m not going to lie, she wasn’t exactly thrilled that you had come over without letting either of us know beforehand…’
‘I understand,’ he removes his hands from his jacket, reaching down to adjust his cuff-links, ‘I know that I should have given you a warning, or even asked before I came over..’ he takes a deep breath before continuing, ‘but it’s been really hard, Lily; she hasn’t answered any of my calls or responded to my messages. I haven’t had a full night’s sleep since she left; I’ve just been so worried about her and the baby, that I…’ he shakes his head, ‘I just couldn’t stay away any longer. I needed to see her for myself, if that makes sense.’
‘It does; Amy and the baby mean the world to you, so it’s understandable that you were concerned.’
‘I just feel as though I could have done more,’ he clenches his fist, his knuckles whitening, ‘if I hadn’t been so stupid and inconsiderate, I -’
‘You can’t keep wallowing in the past, Adrian,’ she interjects, ‘you’re here now, in this apartment. Amy is less than 100 feet away from you. Yes, it may be hard for you to forgive yourself for what happened, but doesn’t the fact that you’re here to see her prove to you that you’ve done as much as you could?’
He smiles sadly at her.
‘I guess there’s some truth to that.’
‘Some?’ She questions him with a surprised tone, ‘you’re here to apologize, aren’t you? That takes a lot of guts…’
‘You’re right,’ he relaxes slightly, ‘of course you are.’
‘I’m always right, Adrian; you should know that by now.’
He chuckles softly, glancing in the direction of Amy’s bedroom.
‘I better go in there before she starts to wonder where I am.’ He looks back at her, his eyes blanketed by emotion. ‘I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this, Lily. I am forever in your debt.’
‘Well you did save my life, so I think this makes us even,’ she pats him on the back of the shoulder, pushing him forward. ‘Now go and talk to her.’
He grants her a bashful smile before making his way down the corridor; his hands are shaking, and it isn’t long before he finds himself adjacent to Amy’s room. Within moments, he has opened the door. He stands in the doorway, his gaze falling upon the figure in the bed; Amy sits between the sheets, her brown doe-like eyes looking up at him as he slowly approaches her, her balayage hair cascading down her back and along her shoulders.
He kneels beside her, placing a gentle hand on her forearm.
‘A…Amy?’

Tell Them I Remember You (Jamie x Claire)

Once I knew which direction to go, I’d never driven somewhere so quickly in my life. It was first light, and I was speeding like a mad woman toward the place where Castle Leoch still stood. A dream set me on my path, a recovered memory, and I had to see, I had to know. Could something truly survive all this time, undiscovered? If not found by whoever occupied my former surgery after my abrupt exit from Leoch, then by looters and eager tourists once the castle was abandoned.
Two-hundred and twenty-five years was a long time.
I had to park away from the property a bit and walked the rest of the way. Standing outside of what was left of the structure, I told myself it was dangerous, that I shouldn’t go inside. There could be all sorts of wildlife nesting there; not to mention crumbling stone ready to drop at the slightest change in pressure.
I didn’t listen to myself.
Entering the dilapidated structure, I closed my eyes at the wave of memories that seemed as though they happened in a different life separate from the last twenty years.
Trying to escape the night of the Gathering. Walloping Dougal with a stool right in this hallway.
The hall was now half-crumbled, exposed to the elements. Hugging what wall there was, I made my way down the steps that led to another corridor. Here, lower, the castle was in a bit —but not much — better shape. Pulling out my flashlight, I stopped first at a door covered with vines and cobwebs. Pushing, I had to shove hard, four times before the door gave way, and I stumbled into the room with a cloud of dust. Closing my eyes for a moment, I slowly blinked them open and then looked around the chambers that were once Jamie and I’s marital bedroom. There was nothing left in it now, but I looked to my right where the vanity once sat, where I’d once situated myself while Jamie bent on one knee to beg my forgiveness. From there, my gaze dragged along the floor to the spot in front of the hearth.
Ye are mine, mo nighean donn. Mine, now and forever.
Pressing a hand to my chest for a moment, I swallowed heavily. There on that floor, I’d let myself believe Jamie would always come for me. That if I stayed with him and stopped trying to leave, he would love me this fiercely forever. Banishing the invasive thought, I turned to leave the room, continuing onward and further down until I reached the surgery door. It still hung open from twenty-three years ago, when Frank and I forced it open. Now that I was here, my heart felt as though it might try to escape my chest. If it was gone, was anything truly lost to me since I hadn’t thought of it before now? I wanted it to be there, my hope higher than it should have been, considering. Walking into the room after coming off the last step took me to a jumbling, confusing mesh of past and further past memories.
Winding my way toward the cupboards that were still there (though empty), I scanned for the clever little secret Beaton had left behind after his death.
”What’s this, then?” Jamie had asked one afternoon as it stormed mercilessly outside. With everything washed out, he was able to spend the day with me, and I couldn’t say I minded.
I’d turned my gaze to what he was fiddling with, a loose drawer at the end of the cabinets. “It’s been broken since I arrived here,” I noted, but he’d seemed unsure of my answer.
“Nah, Sassenach. I dinna think it’s broken.”
I’d turned back to my own work to let him continue fiddling with it until I heard a quiet snapping sound and turned to look again. What I saw made my eyes widen. “Is that a--”
“Aye,” he’d interrupted. “‘Tis a false bottom to the drawer.”
He’d fixed the crooked bottom panel, and it’d slid into place easily within the wall of shelves.
My fingers moved over the dusty glass until I found what I was looking for: the drawer with the false bottom. With a bit of effort, I managed to get the drawer out of its slot and slowly, carefully turned it upside down. As soon as I opened it, I would know once and for all if one of my earliest gifts from Jamie could still be mine.
We’d hurried through the corridors of Leoch, Jamie’s hand gripping mine tightly. Inside of my surgery, he’d proceeded to tell me Colum’s plan to send him away with Dougal, and my heart had sunk to my stomach. I ached to know that we would be separated for Christ knew how long.
“I was finally able to get ye a proper wedding present, Sassenach,” Jamie’d admitted. “I wanted to give it to ye, special, but wi’ things changing, and so dangerous, I dinna feel I should wait.”
Before I’d been able to protest that all would be well and he would return to me, he’d pulled a beautiful pin out of his sporran — a brooch, of two silver, intertwining hearts topped with a crown. “I had word sent ahead to the smith to have this made for ye and ready upon our arrival.”
I hadn’t been able to believe it, stunned by the beauty of the piece. “What does it mean?” I’d been curious to know.
“‘Tis a luckenbooth. Ye give it to your bride to symbolize love and loyalty.” His gaze had been soft and warm as his eyes moved over my face.
I’d held the brooch in my fingers and realized then why we were in my surgery. “You want to hide it.”
“Aye; I dinna ken when I’ll return, and someone may take advantage of ye alone, try to steal such a fine piece from ye.”
I’d idly thought of Laoghaire at the time, but she’d been merely a passing thought. “I can wear it proudly when you’ve returned then?” I’d wondered aloud.
He’d smiled at me and gave my lips a quick kiss. “Aye. Ye’ll never have cause to remove it again.”
Wetting my lips, I looked down at the drawer in my hands and finally pressed. Instead of clicking open, the entire fragile thing shattered in my hands, going quickly to dust and splinters of wood. I dropped what remained in surprise before falling to my knees, reaching for what I knew I’d seen. That flash of silver. Once my fingers closed around it, I pulled it out of the rubble and stared, brushing away years of dry dust. Underneath, it was still as beautiful as ever.
I didn’t know what it was — if it was seeing it again or simply being somewhere I once was with Jamie — but there, on a floor covered in over a century of abandonment, I sobbed. I hadn’t allowed myself this in a long, long while. Not since Brianna was a newborn had I sobbed this way, begging for Jamie in the same breath I cursed him for making me do this without him. I didn’t hate him for it anymore. How could I, when I’d been able to watch our daughter blossom and grow while he’d died on a battlefield? Even though (regardless of Culloden) he’d long been bones anyway, it hurt to know he’d died alone, without comfort. Without me. It was an ache I carried with me, always.
When I finally stood on shaky legs and dusted my trousers off, I clutched the brooch in one hand and prepared to leave before a slip of paper caught my eye. It was something old, parchment that was surprisingly not yellowed, and rolled tightly, as you would a scroll. It could only have been in the drawer and was likely some sort of salve ingredient list I’d written long ago. Waiting to open it, I made my way back out into the daylight, squinting before walking to the car and sitting inside. Once more, I stared at the brooch, this time in the light. It was as beautiful as I remembered from the one time I’d seen it before.
Setting it aside in the passenger seat, I finally unrolled the piece of paper to see what I’d written myself over two centuries ago. Reaching for my glasses, I slipped them on and began to read. As my eyes scanned the words, I felt myself turn impossibly cold, then hot all at once, as if my body couldn’t make up its mind. Once I began to shake, I fumbled to get the window down, taking deep lungfuls of air. It took a few long moments to believe what I was seeing and I read it again, slowly.
Sassenach,
I wonder when you will discover my note? Perhaps if you do, you can leave me one in return?
When you do find this, let it make you smile to know on this day and the day you discover your surprise, I love you.
Your faithful husband,
J.
It was his loopy handwriting, faded but his. It was almost as if I hadn’t cried at all as I dissolved into tears once more; this time, my shoulders heaved with the force of them. Everything we’d lost, everything we thought we still had when he wrote the note, shattered my heart. When Jamie wrote this, he thought we would begin a clever game; but instead, weeks later, I was telling him of time travel while on the run. We’d had so many plans, and lost all of them to time.
Once I pulled myself together, I realized the sun was high in the sky and glanced at my watch — just after noon. I still wanted to go into town and see if there were any records of Lallybroch, to see where the ownership wound up. I wanted to go to Lallybroch; I wanted to go home. Taking a few deep breaths, I felt the first two tremble; but eventually, my breathing evened and I looked down at the brooch in the seat beside me.
It symbolized so much, once. One day, eventually, I would have to say goodbye to him.
“I love you too, Jamie Fraser.”
I spoke the words aloud to a ghost and knew that today wouldn’t be the day.

Coffee Stains: Part II
Tumblr media
» Summary: You know the truth about Moonbin but you were waiting for him to officially tell you the truth.
» Pairing: Moonbin/ Reader
» Genre: fluff
» Words: 2.7k
» Part 1 ╫ Part 3
» m.list ╫ astro masterlist
"Hello? (Y/N) did you hear me?" Your mother said as you zoned out.
"Sorry what?"
"Are you taking your sister to her concert tomorrow?"
"What? No." You asked.
"Alex told me you were."
You felt angry immediately. You told her you didn't want to go. Even though it was before you found out about Moonbin but now you definitely couldn't go. What if he sees you? He will probably think you are some stalker pretending not to know him. You didn't want to risk it.
"I'm not." You shrugged.
"Please, you're sister loves you and she really wants you to go."
"But mom, I don't want to go to a concert where I'm not going to understand what they are saying." You complained.
"You should just want to go to have some fun with your sister, not the music." Your mother gave you that stern look to make you feel guilty.
Maybe you should just go. It's not like he would see you anyway from the seats you'll probably have.
You were curious of the new boy you liked, but on the other hand you were upset that he didn't even mentioned to you that he was a freaking star.
"I guess I'll have to take her." Please....she secretly wanted to go.
....
You stared at your phone too scared to text him. Just ask if he's busy.
You took a deep breath and grabbed your phone.
To Moonbin: 11:36am Heyyy are you busy :)
You simply put, you were never clingy when it came to dating and you didn't want to make that impression on him already....even though you only had one date and it was the best date you have ever had.
Maybe seeing him on your sisters wall was all just a dream. Or not.
You haven't received a text from him as soon as you wanted and it was unhealthy to wait around so you just got dressed into your bathing suit and sat on the edge of the pool.
After waiting about a half hour, you decided to lay down peacefully on top of a floaty still dry and you could easily drift off to sleep any second.
You heard your phone ring but you were too relaxed to even answer it.
"Your phone is ringing sweetie." Your mother's voice appeared out of no where. "Who is Moonbin?"
Your eyes alerted open and you saw your mother reach down to grab your phone and you flew off the floaty falling into the pool getting soak and wet as your mother looked at you amused as she answered the phone.
"Hello (Y/N)'s phone."
"Mom." You jumped off the phone.
"Are you the boy from the other-"
"Hi, sorry about that." You finally had your phone into your hand and your mother arched her eyebrows.
"Hey sorry, I didn't text you back I just got out of work." Hum...work?
"That's okay." You just giggled.
"Are you doing anything?" You looked at your mother through the back door to see if she was there.
"No, I'm home."
"Do you want to do something?" It was already past 3 so you weren't sure what he had in mind.
"If you want we can watch movies here or I have a pool."
"Sounds like fun, I'll be right over."
You blushed from his positive attitude. Luckily Alex was sleeping over Brianna's house because she is going to the concert tomorrow with her and my mom. You weren't sure what your mother's plans were but you hoped that she wasn't going to be home. Not that you were thinking of doing anything R rated. You just met the guy but you didn't want your mom clinging onto you and ruin your night.
....
You redid your hair quickly, since it got wet earlier and you put on a different bathing suit that was a little more exposed and a little more dry then the other one. You placed a cute outfit over it and waited patiently for Moonbin to come over.
"What are you doing?" Your mother asked as she saw you cleaning up the living room.
"Just cleaning up a bit, tired of the mess."
"You cleaned up without me asking....Hum?" Your mother was suspicious and made her way to the kitchen. "You cleaned the kitchen also? What gives?" She crossed her arms.
"Nothing." You thought hard on a lie to get you out of her suspicion. "Dad told me the case you're working on is getting you stressed so I wanted to help out." You smiled.
"Really?"
"Yes, mom." You were hoping she was going to leave soon. "You still have a lot of work to do, don't you." You tried to push her out.
"Yes, I do."
"I'll help you, you go up stairs and finish your work and I'll cook dinner and get you necessary needs when you want them."
"Why?"
"I told you, I feel bad that you have to go through so much so I just want to help out."
"You're a true angel Miss (Y/N) but I know when you're hiding something." She glared at you.
Then all of a sudden you heard a knock.
"Please go up stairs....quickly." You were already pushing your mother past the living room and up the stairs.
"Oh I get it."
"Mom please I'll do anything. I'll do extra chores or cook dinner anything but please leave us alone."
"Ok fine....I'll pretend I'm not here....but no funny business....I hear one grunt I'll throw you both out."
"Ew mom."
"I was a teenager once to dear.....I know those feelings you can hav-"
"Mom please go hurry." You went to the door.
She went upstairs and you nervously opened the door.
"Sorry.......I was......in the bathroom?" You blushed.
"Are you asking me?" He laughed.
"Um." You stuttered. "I was just cleaning up."
"I should have brought extra clothes." He looked nervous but with humor behind it.
"Stop....I'm not dangerous." You laughed nervously. "You want to go swimming first?"
"Sure."
It was the perfect time as the sun was going down at the moment. You followed him and you saw you mom watching upstairs.
You glared and gestured her to go away. She smiled and left and you were outside with him.
"You okay?" He asked amused.
No....You Just wanted to be alone with him and your mother had to be in the way and you didn't want to tell him that because he might be weirded out.
"Yeah...just thinking."
He smiled and took off his t-shirt and started for his pants.
You couldn't help but stare from.his perfect toned figure that got you in trouble last time.
"You're staring again."
"Am not."
He finally had all his clothes diguared besides his bathing suit of course. "Come on slow poke." He dived into the pool.
You quickly took off your shirt and bottoms and once you looked up it was his turn to get in trouble for staring.
"Stop." You laughed covering your stomach.
"Now you know how it feels." He smiled.
"But you have a perfect body." You whined.
"So do you." He said causing you to blush.
You were on the last step of the kiddy section, too cold to go in. The water was only up to your knees and you just stood there with hesitation.
"Come on." He was talking to you like a baby.
"Its cold."
"Aw." He pouted.
"Don't mock me." You squinted.
He grabbed your hand and tried to tug you in slowly. You winced from the chill but started to get used to it slowly.
"Yay....You did it." He cheered.
"Hey." You splashed water at him and you instantly regretted it from the look he was giving you. "I'm sorry- no"
He splashed you right back and your hair you nicely waved was now drench.
"I'm going to get you." You jumped on him drowning him into the pool.
You felt him grab your hips from underwater and all of a sudden he was right in front of you with a mouth full of water.
"Wh-" You couldn't even get out before he spit all the water into your face.
"Okay, time to get out." You started to turn around but he stopped you and you finally opened your eyes once the water was clear from your face and you saw the deviant looking at you with a look full of innocence. "I swear if you do anyth-"
He cut you off from his lips coming towards yours. You instantly melted into his arms and all your anger was forgiven. That was the problem from these cute guys, can't even stay mad at them. You can't be weak. You cant.
"Oh no." You slightly pushed him away. "You're not getting away with it that easy."
He gave you the cutest look you have ever seen. Like a puppy begging for your attention.
"No."
"I'm sorry." He pouted and got closer to you, trying to kiss you again. You quickly covered your mouth to prevent him but you felt shivers once you felt his lips on your neck.
You felt hard butterflies in your stomach, making you queasy and you were frozen.
You couldn't help but tilt your head letting him have more access. You felt his hands around your hips bring you in closer.
You accidently let a moan slip out as you were getting more in depth from his touch. He looked back at you with an amused look. "Does that mean you forgive me?"
"Ummm......nope."
"I'll make it up to you."
"How?" You challenged.
"You want to get out?" He asked.
"Um...."
He sensed you were nervous. "We can watch a movie."
....
Once you got back inside the house smelled delicious. There was food waiting on the kitchen counter that your mother obviously set up. You just hoped she didn't see anything happen in the pool even though it would be a hard sight all the way from the house.
Moonbin looked at you confused as he rubbed the towel through his drenched hair.
"I ordered food for us." You lied.
"They come in your house to deliver it?"
"I maybe hired someone." He arched his eyebrows and you just sighed.
"Okay, my mom is home but she's not going to bother us because she's working."
"That's okay (Y/N) not a big deal." He laughed.
He finished wiping all the water off his beautiful toned abs and you were being overwhelmed in the process.
"Please get dressed."
He smirked. "Okay."
....
You threw your hair in a bun as it was still damp and you put on nice warm clothing since you were finishing your date on the couch. The food your mom made was delicious and even Moonbin asked if he could hire her.
"Here." You threw down a blanket and you also had a few pillows.
"You're cute."
"Stop." You blushed. You sat down next to him.and grabbed the remote. "Horror?"
"Sure." He cuddle next to you under the blanket. "No evil dolls."
"But Annabelle is so good."
"No."
You giggled and put on a different scary movie.
By half way through the movie you accidentally brushed your hand over his lap and blushed from the tension.
He looked over at you sucking on your lips with pure horror. "Its okay (Y/N)." He laughed.
"I touched your-"
"No you didn't." He looked back at the screen. "You touched my sunglasses." He showed you the evidence.
"Oh." You felt even more embarrassed.
You felt his hand brush over your thigh. "Now we're even."
You couldn't even think about the movie at this point. He made you flustered and you felt like your body was gonna shut down.
You felt him sit up a bit more and you looked over at him. He was blushing and you realized their was a heated scene playing during the movie. He looked over at you and you blushed as well.
You grabbed the remote and quickly turned it off. You put on a more pg-13 rated movie causing him to laugh.
You could feel the tension in the air. "That movie was too scary for me." You said nervously.
Another 20 minutes passed by and you felt like there was still tension. You wanted to warm up the environment a little so you slouched farther down next to him again and tried to go back into your cuddle space.
You tried to get more comfortable accidentally brushing up his thigh once again, but before you can move your hand away he grabbed it, interlocking his hand with yours. You gulped from the sudden feeling and felt the butterflies strongly in your stomach.
He looked up at you and you felt the room stop as he leaned in forward. You couldn't get over the feeling of him kissing you. Almost like it was the first time over and over again.
He was lucky because you wouldn't let your last boyfriends touch you this much. There was always a wall between you and them so you always wanted to take it slow, but Moonbin was different. You felt jittery and excited around him, like you wanted to explore.
You fell farther back against the couch cusions as he kissed you deeper. You felt your heart rate picking up quickly and your breathing was becoming hard to steady. He could sense your struggle and moved down kissing your neck for the second time that evening. His hands wandered up your shirt and you felt something stab your thigh, it it wasn't his sunglassess this time.
His lips went back towards yours and you moaned feeling him rock against you. This was the farthest you have ever gone on a date so you weren't experienced and never felt more nervous in your entire life.
Your curious hand wandered down in between your legs and you felt up his clothes member. He grabbed your hand stopping you and placed it over your head.
You moved your left hand this time and did the same thing causing him to laugh against your lips.
"Not yet." He stopped. "Not when your mom is home." He blushed.
You stared at his down and started moving your hand up his shirt, feeling his abs. He starred at you with a hint of humor as you were being touchy.
He sat back and you followed quickly. "No." You pouted.
He laughed and brought your lips together for a small simple kiss but it sadly got interrupted as your mother made noise coming down the steps.
"This is a pg house." She walked into the kitchen.
You both blushed and moved farther away from each other. You felt anger boiling up.
"Its getting late-"
"Mom." You warned.
"Okay." She walked back up the stairs.
"Sorry." You slouched.
"I probably should get going."
"You don't have to-" You pouted.
"I have to be up early tomorrow for work." He said.
"Oh....of course." You tried not to sound upset.
"I'm sorry." He pouted. "But I'll see you soon." He kissed your cheek before getting up.
"Okay." You followed him to the door.
"Bye." He gave you his famous puppy dog smile and you couldn't help but blush.
He loomed at you with sadness, not because he was leaving but from something else.
Did he want to tell you his big secret? Was there more to it?
After Moonbin left you ran upstairs and barged into your mother's office. She was typing on her computer and then she suddenly looked up with her glasses right at the tip of her nose.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"Can I go to the concert tomorrow?"
"Why from the sudden change?" She arched her eyebrows.
"I have nothing to do tomorrow." You shrugged.
"I figured you would change your mind." She smiled.
"How do you know that?" You asked.
"You have a habit of feeling left out."
"Do not." You argued.
"Hun....yes you do." She looked at you amused.
You rolled your eyes playfully and left her office.
You were just too curious about his career. You just hope he wouldn't spot you.
