Going back to work tomorrow after being out for basically a month, but honestly I'm kinda low-key expecting to not even make it through a full shift 😂 like I'm pretty much prepared to lose my job this week

#i got dizzy just standing in my kitchen for 2 hours last week #so yeah we'll see how well my body handles cleaning a 4 floor building #I'll be fine though #my rent has been paid by the catalyst fund #for December #and my grandma gave me $1300 for my birthday #plus $300 from my parents #so I'm not losing my apartment any time soon #i can just apply for unemployment while i look for a desk job #hell the only reason i took the job i have now was to try and work towards eventually getting into an office job #so maybe this is actually a good thing #kneecapped by my body so i have no choice but to do the thing i was wanting to do anyway

What do I want for Chanukah/my birthday... I have to start thinking about this.

Definitely not money because that would just end up going toward bills and boring adult things. Not clothes, because I want to lose some more weight. Maybe a new phone because that’s the one thing I can think of needing within the next year that I won’t be able to pay for by myself? But that’s also an insane amount of money so I don’t think my parents would be down for that. And even if I paid part of it that still just doesn’t seem like something I would want to do because ugh fuck it’s so much money lol I don’t even think I could afford $300 of it. But I also really don’t know for certain how much I’ll be putting away in savings each month yet. Definitely not much since $200 a month already is going toward health insurance, HSA, and 401k. I’m estimating I’ll actually be getting around $1250-1300 a month in my bank account but my rent is $695 so with all my other bills and normal costs of living I’m not going to be able to save much.

Ugh FUCK what do I need??? Idk because I’ve been able to buy everything I need on my own so far. So what do I want??? Idk because I’ve also been able to buy most of what I want.

Actually, a reasonable gift that my grandma actually gave me before was a 12 week session at my acting studio because it’s only $295. And that would give me something to do for a few hours on one of my days off. Also my grandma is pretty old and she’s been trying to give away a lot of her possessions and money recently because something with her will got messed up so she’s worried about what’s going to happen when she dies so she might be down for that. The other thing I would really want is voice lessons again but those are $60 an hour and I don’t think they’d be worth it if I wasn’t doing at least two every month so that’s a fuckton of money.

I think I would also like money to travel but I don’t know where I would go... I would have to fit it into my four day weekend because I don’t have travel time accrued yet so I couldn’t go too far. I think I’d like to go somewhere naturey. Maybe the forests and caves up in Tallahassee? That’s like a 4-5 hour drive so that’s not too bad. And I could stop at places along the way, like Devil’s Den and the springs. That actually might be a good idea and I already know someone who would definitely be down to go with me and she would be super fun to go with.
