today my bossperson said to me "oh I wish we could keep you, but we don't have any money to pay you" which is v nice, always good to feel appreciated and wanted in the workplace, but also: I want to go home

#I'm on an unpaid internship #they want to keep me until the current school year ends #paying me a proper wage #and ok if they could? #if they had the money? #and I'd be able to rent out my flat for a little longer? #I'd still turn it down #even if at home all that awaits me is unemployment benefits and an insufficient selection of lactose free products #am I getting old? #is this why I'm so desperate to get home? #I have never ever experienced homesickness like this before #but I just want to go home and cuddle my nieces and go to my baby sister's dance show and hang out with my siblings #and sleep in my own bed and eat off my own plates and do my laundry on my own laundry basement #and see how much further along the construction is by DR byen just by looking out my living room window #couldn't I have this job but at home ?
