MARCH 2020 BC ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULES & REVIEW

Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of April 7 KST:

A solo para of 400+ words based on their monthly schedule (does not count toward your monthly limit).

A thread of six posts (three per participant, including the starter) based on the monthly schedule.

Threads and solos do not have to take place directly during an important date listed on the schedule, but must be related to what the muse is mentioned to be doing in the paragraph explaining their schedule/the company’s schedule for the month and/or their thoughts on the mentioned activities or lack thereof.

These schedules may be updated throughout the month if new information needs to be added.

Overall Company

Word is passed down by management that Kim Byungchul has expressed his personal thanks for all of BC’s idols for performing at his wedding. The couple are on an extended honeymoon overseas, so they won’t be seen much these days, but that doesn’t mean anyone else at the company gets a break this month. As the end of the first quarter, the company is set on starting the year strong and believe there’s no better time than now to do so.

BC Soloist 1

“Roller Coaster” has only risen up the charts, so BC is eager to go forward with their plans for a summer comeback. She won’t get any real rest time before beginning comeback preparations for her next album, but she’ll will be filming a reality show about her “free month”. It’s her first reality show since debut. The first episode will film her going about her daily routine at home. If she’d like a (female) industry friend to make an appearance visiting her home during the first episode, she will be encouraged to do so. For the show, throughout the month, she’s also go kart racing, go to an arcade, visit Tokyo, Japan [2] [3], and get her fortune read.

March 30: Performance at Seoul Spring Festival Day Concert (see event).

Decipher

They’ve been informed they’ll begin preparing for their next Korean comeback next month, but for now, their schedules are more on the calm side. They’ve landed a new brand deal with casual clothing brand TBJ for their S/S collection this year, so they have a CF to shoot for that with a fun and laidback concept and a fan sign with the brand at the end of the month. Their Japanese single album releases mid-month to much positive reception in Japan and they’re able to top both the daily and weekly Japanese single album charts with it.

March 18: Release of “L.U.V” and L.U.V Japanese single album.

March 27: TBJ fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.

↳ CHAMPION

Throughout the beginning of the month, the members will continue to meet up at the BC Entertainment building to rehearse choreography so that by the 20th, they’re prepared to leave on a short trip to Dubai to film parts of the music video for their sub-unit debut title track. In the days following their return, they’ll be busy with more promotional content filming. Fans are sure to notice that the same group of idols that was seen at the BC building is now taking the same flight out of the airport, but BC and Dimensions continue to not confirm anything to keep fans talking.

March 23: CHAMPION focus trailer video filming.

March 24: CHAMPION group trailer video filming.

BEE

It’s comeback time and as has been the case since they renewed their contracts, this comeback is a successful one, especially in the digitals departments. They might not need the promotion, but BC will be sending them out on both Knowing Bros and Yoo Heeyeol’s Sketchbook during their promotions to connect with the general public more, since they’ve always been their biggest audience.

March 10: Release of “I Like That” & Insane Love showcase, promotions continue until April 10.

March 11: Filming of Knowing Bros episode (to be aired March 21).

March 13: Filming of Yoo Heeyeol’s Sketchbook episode (performing: I Like That, Touch My Body, and Say I Love You, to be aired March 20).

As the group is promoting this month, the two unit members will not have much work for debut prep. Instead, they’ll be asked to continue perfecting the performance of the choreography they learned last month in order to be ready for the music video filming next month.

Knight

It’s been a while since Knight held any concerts in the US, but this month they have three stops in the country as well as a concert in Indonesia shortly following. BC has opted not to have Knight do the normal round of English press idols tend to do while in the States as they’d prefer to pull out their connections for CHAMPION since the sub-unit will be much more targeted toward the market than Knight has been. The members will leave Korea on the 4th to stay in Chicago on the 5th and 6th, Newark on the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th, and Los Angeles on the 11th, 12th, and 13th before leaving to Jakarta on the morning of the 14th. While in Los Angeles, they’ll do a shoot with 1st Look magazine.

March 8: UNLIMITED tour concert at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, USA.

Lipstick

Their Japanese studio album releases this month and although it underperforms by BC’s expectations by only selling a few thousand albums in Japan in the first week, they have a Japanese tour to gear up for to accompany it. Now that they know all the choreography for the tour, they’ll be expected to continue to practice the choreography, though official tour rehearsals have not started yet. They’ll also have fittings for the tour, but it’s a fairly relaxed month and BC has granted them a one-week vacation from March 6 to 12, unless the member has individual schedules during that time.

Important dates:

March 6-12: Vacation.

March 18: Release of Dress To Kill Japanese album.

March 20: Japanese tour fittings.

↳ Lip Gloss

Lip Gloss will also be performing their unit songs as a part of Lipstick’s Japanese tour due to the popularity of their earlier songs with the Japanese audience, so they’ll have additional fittings on the tour fitting day and will be expected to refresh themselves on the choreography of “My Copycat” and “Catallena”.

CHARM

After the end of their music show promotions on the third, there’s only a short time before they take off to Japan, and that time will be filled with rehearsals aimed at perfecting their performances again as they return to touring. Before leaving, they’ll also be in the studio to record the main OST for the second season of A-TEEN. Their unit OST for the first season earned them a Best OST award at MAMA last year, so BC was happy to have them reprise their role as OST singers, this time as a full group, for the second season.

They continue to perform the song during their Japanese tour to hype the release, but now that their debut is next month, they’ll need to shoot the teaser photos and digital album cover. The news of the unit officially debuting will be announced mid-month, after which the members are allowed to publicly acknowledge that they’ll be releasing and promoting the song.

March 5: Teaser photo shoot.

WISH

To prepare for their comeback at the very end of the month, the members will have photo shoots for the album photo book [2] as well as the promotional teasers before their music video filming mid-month. Their Korean comeback isn’t the only thing they’re working on though, as they need to continue preparing for their next Japanese comeback as well with fittings and learning the title song’s choreography.

day thirteen ; hug.

It’s on an early, sunny spring day in which Willy declares a brand new, totally legitimate holiday.

National Hug Day. Well- Ericson Resident Hug Day, at the very least. He also realizes that he doesn’t actually know what the current date is, but he’s fairly certain Aasim does. He’ll be sure to not only ask him about it later, but request that he write down this new holiday so they can remember it every single year from now on.

The idea is promptly born as Willy sits upon the admin building’s front staircase, idly practicing the knife tricks that Mitch had taught him over the long winter months. Though his attention only remains focused on twirling the blade around between his fingertips for so long, and eventually, he finds himself looking out across the expanse of the courtyard.

Today is the first nice day they’ve had since the cold weather had finally begun to lessen. The sun is bright and warm, just enough for them to safely ditch their heavy winter gear in favor of lighter, more comfortable clothes. Louis isn’t wearing his trench coat anymore, the sleeves of his baseball tee rolled up past his elbows as he cleans arrows from their earlier hunting trip. Mitch leaves the admin building in a simple t-shirt, ruffling Willy’s already wild hair as he passes him on the steps.

Though, even with how normal everything appears to finally be, Willy can’t help but feel as if there’s a certain something missing. Winter, as always, had taken its toll on everyone. They’d only barely scraped by on their dangerously low food supply, suffered through the bitter cold and heaping snow, forced to all sleep in the common room to conserve body heat that ultimately left everyone largely irritated with one another for several different reasons.

Willy may be used to Mitch’s snoring, but that certainly doesn’t mean anyone else is.

Yet, even as the weather steadily improves and everyone is slowly but surely able to return back to a far more comfortable schedule, they all still seem… off.

There’s not enough happiness around here, Willy eventually decides. And so, he sparks the plan to change that. Besides, everyone likes hugs, right? They’re supposed to make people feel better, and that’s exactly what he intends to do.

He starts with an easy one. While he and Mitch don’t exactly hug each other on a regular basis, they are brothers. It wouldn’t be the strangest thing in the world. Willy approaches him as he’s stacking up freshly chopped firewood, and wordlessly wraps his arms around his waist.

Mitch tenses for a fraction of a second, before realizing it’s just Willy.

“Uh… what’s the hug for, man?” he rasps, patting Willy on the back as he returns it anyway. His voice has improved somewhat over the past few months, but it still sounds different. Scratchy and hoarse, like someone with a really bad flu.

Not that Willy minds, of course. The main thing that matters to him is that he’s here , and not dead like Lilly had very nearly succeeded in achieving. It doesn’t bother him in the least if his voice sounds a little funny, now.

“I decided today is hug day,” Willy explains simply, letting him go after a moment. “I think everyone really needs one. Y’know, after the winter and… everything.”

Mitch instantly gives him a warm smile. “Sounds like a great idea to me.”

Willy nods affirmatively. “Totally! So, you can go hug someone too, if you want.”

Then, before Mitch can formulate a response, Willy is off once again in search of the nearest person. Which, happens to be Ruby as she tends to the horse they’d brought back from the Delta. As usual, Aasim is right there with her, though he keeps a safe distance from the animal. He refuses to admit it, but Willy knows he’s definitely scared of it.

“Hi, Ruby,” Willy chirps, and again, without waiting for a reply, simply goes in to hug her as well.

“Oh- ” she exclaims in mild surprise, but is quick to recover. She hugs him back sincerely, one hand still grasping the rope attached to the horse’s halter.

Willy wastes no time between his rounds. Once releasing Ruby, he heads straight for Aasim.

“Wait, wha-” Aasim manages to utter before Willy is enveloping him, next. He may not be much of a hugger - well, towards anyone that isn’t Ruby, of course - but today, Willy vows to make sure everyone is.

Squeezing his arms around Aasim briefly, he steps back in order to clarify, “Today is hug day.”

Aasim quirks an inquisitive brow. “According to…?”

“Me,” Willy states proudly, beaming a big smile.

“Is that so?” Ruby says, wearing a smile of her own that’s incredibly fond around the edges. “Well, in that case… We’d better participate, right, hon?”

And with that, she’s leaning up on her toes and wrapping her arms around Aasim’s neck to pull him into another hug of their own. Unlike with Willy, he doesn’t remain stiff and awkward towards the contact, having no apparent problems with returning it in earnest.

Perfect! Willy thinks, grinning even wider. It’s working!

With his trend now catching on, Willy enthusiastically moves onward. Louis gets a hug next, where he’s still cleaning arrows, and it seems to immensely brightens his day judging by how he cheerfully laughs and thanks him. Then, it’s Violet’s turn, who, much like Aasim, isn’t the biggest fan of hugs even though she returns it all the same.

Omar receives his hug as he prepares dinner, Willy even making sure to include Rosie as she begs for scraps next to the large, steaming pot of food.

Finally, Willy reaches AJ and Tenn where they sit upon the ground as they color together. Willy kneels down in order to reach AJ’s level, making sure not to sneak up on him as he remembers the younger’s particular response to such sudden actions.

“It’s national hug day,” Willy tells him as he gives him a quick embrace around the shoulders. “That means everyone gets a hug.”

As he turns to Tenn, however, he finds himself hesitating. While he’s long since expressed his forgiveness towards what happened with Mitch, sometimes, he can’t help but still feel as if it’s technically his fault. It’s taken Willy a long time to come to terms with his big brother’s injury, and after watching him be taken away by Lilly and her people without knowing whether he was even alive or not, it remains a frightening memory.

But, like he said: everyone gets a hug. It’s not like he’s still mad at him, at least.

Tenn tentatively returns the gesture when Willy wraps his arms around him. When they pull back, he’s smiling genuinely, and Willy suddenly feels better about including him. They all deserve to be happy in his opinion, and that most definitely includes Tenn.

“Um, thank you…” Tenn murmurs quietly. Willy gives him a friendly nod.

And as he turns to survey the courtyard once again, he’s met with a promising sight. Louis can be seen moving in to dramatically hug an obviously annoyed Violet, and Willy laughs to himself as he catches sight of her one-eyed glare from around her eye patch.

There’s still one person left, however. As if right on cue, he spots her hobbling out from the dorm building, and Willy races forward to meet her.

He spares a fleeting look towards the prosthetic leg she’s currently balancing on. It’s the newest model, worked painstakingly hard on by himself, Mitch, Aasim, and AJ. He’s happy to see her getting used to it, and he’s sure she’s happy to finally be rid of those pesky crutches.

“Hey, Willy,” Clem greets with a smile.

This time, Willy does at least manage to spare a quick “Hi ” before moving in. He makes sure to be extra careful, however, not wanting to knock her over with an overly forceful hug. Yet even as slow as he winds his arms around her waist, he makes sure to squeeze with an equal amount of force as he showed towards everyone else.

“Today is hug day,” he explains again, for one last time. “We can all celebrate it every year.”

He can hear Clem chuckle softly as she returns the sentiment. “Every year, huh? Then I guess we’d better make sure to have Aasim write it down on his calendar.”

“Yeah! That’s what I was thinking!” Willy exclaims as he backs away.

And with that, his task is done. He and Clementine part ways, and he watches with bright, sparkling eyes as the first thing she does upon approaching Violet, is hug her.

Their first ever hug day? He thinks it’s safe to call it a smashing success.

A Look At the Winter Event, the Future For Us, and Another Farewell Until Next Time!

Hi everyone! Mod Morgan here! Well, here we are again. It’s always such a pleasure. Remember when you tried to kill me twice?-...wait, no, get out of here GLaDOS, Fire Emblem isn’t even your game! Another solstice passed, and another event finished. And it, ah, certainly was an eventful week, wasn’t it? I mean, aside from the event itself obviously. There were a lot of things that we weren’t prepared for, a number of them that were out of our control this time, but we had even more participants this time around than during the last Solstice! I hope this event seems like as much of a success to you guys as it does to us!

Before we get into our expressions of eternal gratefulness to you guys, however, I would like to preface this by getting a couple of things out of the way first. First of all, a short apology on my end. Between finals, trying to buckle in and work really hard to put this event together, and tumblr’s awful sense of timing, at least for us, among a few other things, we all got frazzled and a bit exhausted, and I think all that exasperation it seeped into a couple of my posts, more than I would’ve liked it to. If you didn’t notice it or didn’t think that it was that big of a problem, I’m glad it didn’t bother you, but I’m sorry for those that it did, because I know that it didn’t go unnoticed, and letting it impact some of my posts was really on me. I hope you don’t think any of you guys caused any of that exhaustion though, because it’s just the opposite!...speaking of which...

...Tumblr sure picked the worst possible time, didn’t it? We don’t blame any of you for participating in the log out event, and honestly, had we not prepared this event’s schedule ahead of time, and based it around...you know...the solstice...because it’s the solstice event, there’s a good chance at least some of us if not all four of us would have done the same. I’m just glad we had the insight to poll you guys and that we managed to come up with something to tide everyone over until the next day, when we had to reschedule the sled races to. Thanks for sticking with us despite what happened, really, and to make another proper segue since I’m on that point... Seriously, thanks to all of you, once again. for sticking with us and taking part in this event. As I said, I’m pretty sure we had even more people participating than last time, which means this event and the community it’s building is growing, and that’s a good thing! We want people to feel welcome and comfortable here, above all else, and meet interesting new people...and have fun event-based interactions with those you already know of course. Maybe next summer, Tumblr won’t do something to add on to the stress for us and we’ll be 110% prepared ahead of time without a hectic pace in the last couple of weeks leading up to the event! I’m definitely going to try to adopt Morgan’s optimism as I often do with these events and use that to drive me next time around. Anyway, you know the drill! I’m rambling on way too much, and we still have three other mods that wanna talk to you guys, so it’s time to let each of them have their turns!

Mod Eliwood here; while I’d like to keep this short, there are a few things I want to acknowledge. First, as short notice as it was, I want to place a huge shoutout to mods Lyn and Hector, who together did the lion’s share of coming up with the mechanics and numbers for the Yggdratrail. Secondly- yes, it was short notice. I’m sure many of you noticed that the mechanics seemed too complex, our writing was rushed here and there, and everything went up... late in the day. Part of that last bit was us noticing a lack of activity on the dash and accommodating the afternoon hours instead of the morning one, but poor time management and panic on our part also factored in.

That said, several of you have approached me in person and told me you were enjoying the event, and that made it worth it. I genuinely enjoyed being part of this one, and with activities and ideas that were our own, it felt more satisfying to run than the Summer edition too.

We don’t yet know if we’ll be doing a Summer Solstice next year- we’ll have to discuss schedules with the Scramble Squad first. But if we do, I definitely hope to see a good few of you there!

// yooooo Mod Hector and just gonna make this one brief if my fellow mods have already expressed what I wanted to day. As before, I wanted to thank everyone for the support along the way as we hosted our second event for the community. Coming from a personal view, it still is a lot to manage so I’m always thankful for having my fellow mods to give advice, and of course the participants for contributing as much as they can.

I do want to apologize too bc I know my activity’s staggered after the Yggdratrail and I wanted to do a lot more to involve myself in all the activities going on. It’s certainly something I want to work on for the next time, especially knowing that my current job plays a factor in it all. Again, thank you for bearing with me here and my multimuse too!

Sooooo I’d be repeating myself here but I can’t say thanks enough for helping make this event what it was in the end, and looking forward, I hope to meet new people and see what else others have in store!!!

And here’s Mod Lyn! I got way more caught up in school stuff than I expected, so I want to thank Mod Eliwood for being the one to get the ball rolling and poke everyone about everything this time. I wish I could have been around more for the second half, but real life struck...in any case, I’m glad to see people enjoying and participating in the event, especially new faces.

....And although I know the Yggdratrail was probably super confusing when I was braindumping it all out, I’m glad that we managed to turn it into what it was (and it was soo much more complex before the current iteration too oops), and glad that the other mods could put up with my jumbled thoughts and rambles until we came up with something. I hope you all enjoyed the writeups -- though I admit there were some points where I was struggling, on the whole it was still fun to come up them!

And despite the hiccup that was our friend the Community Guidelines update, I like to think the rest of the event went fairly smoothly! I won’t say too much, so I’ll wrap up with a similar message -- I hope you all had fun, we couldn’t hold this events without you guys’ support, and see you next time!

So, I guess it’s back to me to wrap things up. First of all, much like everyone else, I want to thank Mod Eliwood especially for helping keep us in gear and really getting us kick-started, and I also want to thank Mod Lyn for coming up with a system for the Yggdratrail that wound up working surprisingly well, though hopefully if we do this again, everything will be a bit-better ironed out and streamlined for everyone. But I want to also thank Mod Hector so much for helping pick up the slack and being there when I needed someone else’s support when everyone else was busy. I really wouldn’t have survived this event without you, for sure. And while I’m sure the message has gotten across well enough by now, seriously, I want to thank all of you for taking part and making this community grow a little more with this event. I will never, ever be able to express my gratitude enough, and hopefully you made some new friendships or strengthened some old ones through our humble little corner of FE community.

So, that leaves the question of what’s next for the Solstice Celebration blog? Well, we’re already looking ahead to the next Summer Solstice, and so long as the schedule of events lines up similarly to how it did around our first event, we’re definitely going to have our next event take place around then. However, the main event will certainly be a lot different. Whether we’ll consolidate the Obstacle Course down into a more compact version of what existed or build a new event, we’re not sure, but we’re gonna start brainstorming ideas once this event is wrapped up and we’ve gotten all your feedback-...and do keep an eye out for that feedback post, that’s coming up next. One thing we’re definitely going to do with the Summer Solstice event, however, is keep ourselves better prepared this time so it all comes out looking a lot cleaner, with less of a rushed panic, and less exhaustion for all of us, not to mention we’ll have a lot more time to work with, what with it being the Summer.
