watched yan oda- it’s not well written or anything, not gonna be the next best dizi, but it checks all the boxes of a dramatic, flashy dizi that usually gets pretty good ratings, warring families from different backgrounds all under one house, domineering matriarch, forbidden love trope (step siblings), love triangle (lowkey a love square based off this first ep). It seems like a dizi you can get exhausted by very quickly, but the couple has pretty good chemistry and im kinda excited to see them develop. Ratings might not come through tho bc i think audiences are tired of this type of dizi (esp from dizis from ogm production)
watching korkma ben yanındayım- this one is much better written and seems to have a more solid, grounded story. A good, studious girl with her whole future ahead of her finds out she’s pregnant. And the father of her child is the son of their school’s director. She comes from a poor background and her family sacrifices a lot to put her through school to complete her dreams of becoming a doctor. Obviously the baby daddy comes from a rich background and his father is harsh, cold, and abusive. They have a bit of forbidden love/star crossed lovers going on as well, they don’t show much of them in this first episode, but they could have potential. I think the main draw of this dizi is the warmth of the girl’s family and seeing how the pregnancy will affect them. It seems like one of those dizis that will slowly pick up in ratings, and I’ve seen a lot of positive reactions on twitter. It is on (formerly) Fox tho and we all know how they are.
