hifi audio equipment jargon still makes my brain leak out of my ears but i'm so committed to con is on-ing my way into it

#i recently came into a ~vintage~ receiver and i so desperately want to make a cool ass set up out of it #bc its got the radio/turntable/cassette deck/8track player and is so beautiful #but trying to source era appropriate speakers is going to kill me dead #i do have some sick headphones on my radar though im really looking forward to having that option #my first turntable did have a headphone jack but it was. hm. not installed correctly? and since i went manual i havent had one with the jack #but this is gonna need a big honking old school pair for the jack size which is SO my shit #anyway these are things im too embarrassed to post abt on my vinyl insta peace and love on planet earth #personal
