nothing and i mean NOTHING makes me want to lay on the floor as acutely as the album rooms of the house by la dispute

#i think history is a system of roads and theres nowhere it doesnt go #i want to leave here for where nobody goes #i knew what you meant you want to go where it glows all those places where your watch doesnt work #did you ever think youd end up here #all the language you make out of looks and names #all the motions of ordinary love #let me in give me holy privileges #we say nothing then out loud and thats what feels the most profound #a sadness hanging over her like some pentecostal flame drifting on and off #but she never said it once out loud #on the way back home from where you thought they meant when they said where sister went #and i thought of ones on highways or set by gravestones #all the things you see there but dont understand but still bring a remembered thing back vividly #invoke someone elses reality when together in that way in that place out of context #and i knew i had to take it down before somebody else saw #picking things up and seeing where they took me #to what place in history what moment on our timeline where we were where i was where i thought we would end up #(these are just lyrics from like 4 songs on this album i could copy and paste the whole album but this has already gotten ridiculous) #anyway this album is one of my favorite pieces of contemporary poetry please listen to it
