had an interesting experience today in which i told some friends abt how i used to have hair down to my waist and they all went ‘:0 really? I can’t even imagine you with short hair’ and as someone who had such long hair for my entire pre-high school life it’s so strange to think people see me and don’t immediately associate me with that other version of me. very strange indeed.

#i had hair down to my waist until a week after the end of eighth grade #like middle school ended and i was like ok we’re done now :) #shoutout to Beverly marsh for being both my second gay awakening and the final burst of confidence i needed to get a haircut #but its so strange to think abt that. Like thats a whole other version of me that all of my new friends #prob wouldnt even recognize #like how crazy is that. That someone who knows you know would barely recognize you then. #i cant tell if i love it or it bothers me j a bit #long hair is a hassle but i kept it in a braid 24/7 which wasnt much better but at least it was out of the way #like what i do wonder if what ppl may have thought when i came back for ninth grade #like were they surprised at all?
