there is a better post to be made on this perhaps when i'm not word salad-ing and schizophrenic as hell but there's something to be said about how as we all know the warriors fandom has a misogyny issue and this also affects how we view predatory or harmful behavior from female cats within the books

yes its shitty that the erins made spottedleaf a creep so they could push firespotted into the books for drama. she's still creepy tho. she's still a groomer. she's still weird and people are allowed to dislike her for that weirdness

part of tearing down the misogyny in the fandom is getting past the idea that female characters are dainty and harmless and weak and cannot be abusive or do any harm ever. downplaying the creepiness of spottedfire or claiming it isnt canon bc spotted would "never act like that" is just making up excuses because you're weird and want to defend creeps just bc you like the character
