[The human pauses as if gathering their thoughts. She keeps her voice leveled enough, but a trained ear could pick out the slightest bit of negativity... could it be annoyance? Anger? Disappointment? It was hard to say.]

I had lent out my research to others in different regions, for the sake of collaboration and having more hands reaching towards the same goal. There was an incident a few years ago, a very violent altercation occurred where a portion of it was lost. If it didn't go up in flames, it was stolen...

Everything can be rebuilt however, and the project has recovered. But now I guard it very closely.

[Alruba's attention turns to the tapestry, a thin smile as a hand reaches out to the old and faded chart with fondness.]

I was born and raised in Meteor Falls, and so much of this knowledge came to me in the forms of bedtime stories. Tales of magnificent beasts that resided in the heavens, gracing this world with their presence and holding influence to this very day.

These stars have been catalogued for generations, at first orally before eventually being written down. After the first Draco Meteor, brilliant fireballs rained down at different points-thunderous roars catapulting from the sky into the planet.

Their locations were scattered, but their impacts were nothing short of spectacular. The dragons were nowhere to be found around their impacts, so it was only to be assumed that they began to explore the world.

Their fall gave rise to the dragons we know today.

Doesn't matter if it's big or small, good or bad, mundane or extraordinary. It all shapes you into who you are." The little kyu fidgets with its claws. "So...so when you're nervous of the future or scared of the past. You...you just need to lift your head and see where you are at; who you are with."

They puff up their chest, standing more straight, "So Draco. Lift up your head. See those around you. See their soft smiles, hear their joyous laughter and feel the warmth of their love. And know that no matter what has happened, you are surrounded by those who care." They beam with joy at Draco. "And no matter what comes your way, you can face it and continue to grow. Because everything that has come before has not stopped you from being the amazing 'Mon you are."

[The words seem to stir something deep in the dragon, Draco's gaze fixed forward. Something had changed and while she wasn't sure what it was, she knew it was for the better.]

[She then bent down closer to the Mimikyu.]

I can't... really begin to describe how much it means to me.

That's also a dashing cloak you got there, reminds me of someone I know, hah.

Apolly@Draco: I know you have mentioned the toll taken for mega evolution, but do you think it could be a factor other than yourself? Do any of your colleagues mega evolve? It could be an issue with one of the mega stones and not you.

Nero could evolve just fine back in the day, and Riku was also fine a little time back, so I don't think it had anything to do with the keystone...

[The human thinks to themself for a few moments before speaking, Quetzal nearby and listening in to the conversation.]

I've heard of customs that involve charging stones under meteor showers, at least with those who follow Draconic practices. But that's usually for precious stones and metals... unless mega stones fall under that...

I know evolving is hard on you, but if the Garchompite is playing into it and it's something fixable... well there's no reason to just let it stay a problem, even if we don't use it.

Gabe: Even Xoloet came out from wherever he was hiding to try and find out what was going on. Seemed really spooked which is...odd.

Until we check every little corner and crevice there is on this island, I’m not taking any chances.

You mention The Great Hurricane a lot. How and why did it happen exactly? If you are willing to tell us...

I was already a spirit at the time, but we could witness it from the other side. It was...I have no words, truly.

That Lugia was the biggest thing I had ever seen, the waves could touch the clouds if they wanted. I was under the leadership of an Unovan human, and so... I carried out some dirty work. Following orders. Because of that, I was one of the casualties. I guess I was lucky that I couldn't feel it, I couldn't imagine surviving to see the wreck the island became.

That was... almost 800 years ago? I know Oscar was the last of the generation that lived here. It was still unsafe for me to return to the planet, with Ezzohcoatl making his rounds. Though by that point, he would've been sealed away.

I couldn't even make out Alola, or any region on that side of the hemisphere. It was all just obscured by dense cloud cover. And it was like that for a least a few months. I haven't seen a storm like it since.

The Ciquex did everything they could, not even the patron legends could undo the damage the land had received. The only option was to evacuate the population and then wipe the island off the map. Most left, but the Ciquex chose to stay behind to see things through. It was... noble.

They tried to take what was rightfully ours, and they paid the price.
