“What do you think?” Kiya would ask him how her new clothes look. Aymeric would give her an approving hum, but to his dismay he would prefer she did not jump on his table or make such poses in front of people.
“You look amazing my love, but please get down.” He is met with her folding her arms.
“It’s the only time I’m taller than you!” She pouts.
“Is that so? Why is that?”
“Because I can do this.” Without a second thought to onlookers, she bravely gives him a kiss.
For a rare moment, a tinge of pink dusts his face from ear to ear.
“My love... let’s take this to my office before we insight a scandal somehow.”

So You can rest.
Kiya and Kivera.
Mentions my pairing with Kiya and Aymeric. and Polyship with Shuri.
Shuri belongs to @snow-covered-moon
Kiya had ventured on her own, she had to revisit the garden. She had heard some of it was saved. She had to revisit the grounds she and Aymeric made vows for eternity on.
She holds alot of fears as she pays respects to those Eorzea lost to Bahamut’s flames that day when Fandaniel surfaced. Would an attack hit her without anyone, she walked through the archway and sighs in relief seeing how fast other botanists worked to replenish the grounds.
She can still smell the scorched ground in memory, it was one of the last few times she stood in a battlefield. Aymeric had shielded her, he had more to lose than just her.
She kneels down at the center of the garden and presses a hand to her stomach the memory of Alyse. Habit from being pregnant, hers and Aymeric’s daughter is safe back in Ishgard under Aymeric’s care. He understood when she had to go see the garden when it was back open to public. He would have gone with her, but agreed that they would go together when their anniversary comes up.
Kiya doesn’t know how long she was in prayer, long enough that someone else chances on her.
Kivera touches her feet faint on the ground, she followed at behest of Aymeric. She could watch over her in secret or make her presence known. The beings they were facing were beyond normal magic. Kivera a perfect stand-in for himself.
“Kiya, you should keep your awareness up even in prayer.” Kivera breaks through the silence, and Kiya looks over her shoulder to the reaper. She would never let anything happen to her.
“Did Aymeric send you?” Kivera nods brief, and Kiya looks down at the mosaic pattern on the tiles. From blood shed on the field to marriages then scorched ground. She can faintly see burn markings where restorations were missed.
“He means well, it is dangerous lately.” Kiya stands to face her, seeing Kivera something eased her mind. They shared similar features, her doing to make sure she doesn’t remember Hecate. She even gave her, her name and took on the new one. Kivera.
“What does Kivera mean?” Kiya regards her in reverence.
“In my home tongue, it was suppose to mean sunshine. Today, it is just a fancy form to Chimera.” The angel opens her wings, letting her left one shimmer white before resuming black under a guise.
“It’s a good name, you bring light to those in darkness.” Kivera’s eyes widen a little at this thought. She shakes her head, and folds her arms behind her back at the wrists. She can see the wear on Kiya though, the battles, the stress, the fears of whether the next fight she was in would be her last one.
“I want to step down from the mantle permanently.” Kiya looks away from Kivera saying this. Kiya is a skilled black mage, one that had earned her name and titles across Eorzea. Kivera thinks it over.
“I thought so.” Kivera hovers a hand underneath Kiya’s face to tilt it up to look at her darker green to her own bright eyes.
“I’m afraid of disappointing the Scion’s though...” Kiya narrows her eyes at this one, she had seen the same frustrations run through Shuri when she stepped down for a while after Ardbert and for that brief time of losing Lilith.
“This is your path, not theirs. Don’t feel bad for doing and following what you want. They have others willing to keep fighting.” Kivera doesn’t try changing her mind, it is a choice she would grant her.
“So you’re not going to tell me different?” Kiya is a little surprised to this.
“Why should I, someone who detests forcing people to choose against their wills, make someone who wants to escape fighting.. continue to do something like that? I’ll take your roll, how about that. If you ever feel the need to return, you can.” Kivera offers her a way out, and Kiya takes it resting her head on the hand.
“I’m so tired of fighting.. I just wanted to adventure and have fun. Not save worlds from catastrophe all the time. I hate being selfish... but I also don’t want Aymeric or Alyse to lose me.. I know Aymeric will still fight.. but I don’t want to anymore.” Kivera remarks her with reverence.
“Be sure to tell him that when you get home. He’ll be happier that someone will remain for Alyse. She is a future to Ishgard. Go raise a wonderful daughter.” Kivera presses her forehead to Kiya’s head brief to take on her essence. Those that are not Scion’s or warriors of light, those that know her. Will see Kiya’s form in her place, instead of Kivera’s. Those that know her, they will see the angel in all her glory.
Kivera waves her off, paying her way back with a airship. Kivera on the other hand makes her way to Mor Dhona for the next meeting Kiya was called to. To take over officially.
Kivera walks through the entrance to the Rising Stones, and is greeted to a few shocked faces in G’raha Tia, Alphinaud, and Estinien seeing her, in Kiya’s place. G’raha Tia steps back a little seeing Kivera, still on edge around her warnings. he had not done any blood magic since she had trounced him that one day. Alphinaud is confused to Kivera’s presence.
“What ever do we owe the pleasure?” Alphinaud breaks the awkward silence.
“I came in Kiya’s place. She won’t be coming here.” Kivera looks over herself making sure her appearance looked as close to what the miqo would wear with her own spin on the outfits.
“We could postpone if she’s not feeling well.” Tataru raises her voice enough.
“That won’t be necessary. I will be as vague as possible in this, while also direct. She won’t be coming in at all. She’s stepped down. She has personal reasons for it I hope you won’t object to.” The way she phrases herself, Kivera makes it clear this is not a negotiation for Kiya’s leaving the frontlines.
“When you see her again, give her our regards then.” G’raha speaks up, and Kivera nods brief, she looks ahead to see Estinien who eyes her about this choice. He welcomes it, knowing how well she holds her own on the battlefield.
“So, let’s have this meeting already. Busy angel you know.” Kivera says wondering why they’re stalling.
Kivera takes over so Kiya can rest.

Headcanons for the butlet!AU. (reusing some of my older screenies.)
From @whitherliliesbloom ‘s AU.
Kiya -
She was sent to the Saint Lucia’s Academy to be trained as a maidservant. She ends up assigned to Aymeric’s group to learn. She was raised in high nobility, but preferred to serve rather than be served after seeing how people acted.
Kiya learned most of the formal training from Aymeric, or from him giving relaxed clues. What they didn’t expect was after a late night of work was sitting outside for some fresh air and talking a bit. He learns of what her previous lifestyle was, and was surprised she threw that away. Surly she would have wanted to never lift a finger.
Kiya told him, “that life is boring after a while. All the fancy parties, the dresses, the people, enough to make you suffocate. I rather do this and actually be useful in life.”
Aymeric found himself enamored by her words, and it wasn’t until Haurchefant pointed out.
“You don’t meet girls like that every day. Most dream of being the princess, not the servant of one.”
The following day on a break, he finds her asleep outside. Quietly he’d place a swift kiss to her head.
“It’s unfair of how you caught my heart.”
Kiya is good at entertaining with dances she has learned from different places. Except formal ones. It was on one noble party where she was in a garden dancing to herself. He stumbles across her just dancing to the music that could be heard from the house.
Aymeric sees her caught off guard when he approaches her with a blue dress in his hands. Kiya is confused, and he hands it to her and ushers her behind a stairwell to change her clothes. He wanted to see her in something formal, and when he does. his breath is taken from him.
Tumblr media
Kiya becomes more than just a maidservant to him, she becomes someone he wants to pursue.
Tumblr media
They share a dance together. Getting lost with each other so much that they neglect to go back to the job they were there for, and spend time talking to get to know each other.
Tumblr media
The Count Edmont sees this, and only smiles letting them have the time to themselves.
Every instance after that night. They become inseperable while working and learning together.
Kiya’s talents for sewing, and housekeeping are what get her a spot in Edmont’s house, he ends up hiring both of them and doesn’t bat an eye to them chasing their relationship.

Short installment of them.
Meeps and Fae'a belong to @meepsthemiqo I hope I wrote them right. And kept it light to be pg-13. Thank you for helping me cheer up a bit yesterday.
Kiya looks up at blue eyes staring at her. They found a spot to sit down at in the goblet. The pool was empty of people providing the right atmosphere for bonding.
Aymeric let's his wife toy at his lips, a finger tracing over the edge till he nips at her finger for tickling.
Kiya feels a rush in her spine seeing him catch her hand in his own and spread kisses all over it with small meaningful kisses pressed to each finger and fingertip.
Aymeric feels her wiggle her fingers from each kiss. He feels a single finger placed on his lip he kisses it as it passes by the center. His eyes look at her with adoration in them, and she feels fortunate to have him in her life.
Aymeric sees the look in her eyes and before she could bring anything up he tugs her to him, he claims a full kiss that leaves her mind swimming.
"Aymeric?" Kiya casts her gaze to the side after the kiss.
"I know you by now. If you think I am going to allow sadness to creep into your face tonight. I shall do all evening to ensure you never feel it." His words come off endearing but feels more of a playful threat. Wry grin and his eyes hold all of his promise.
"And just what would you do?" She grasps his tie and tugs him closer. He eyes her tilting his head to the side.
"The things you know I am good at." He dips his head closer to hers. Kiya moves her head as he tilts it back to brush his lips against hers. Catching her bottom in his teeth gently.
Kiya feels her face burn a bit at the intent behind his nibbling.
"Aymeric.. I..."
"Aymeric, I, what?" He blazed a trail of kisses from her lips up the side of her face. Till he landed on her neck. Nipping at it.
"Aymeric! We're in public!" Aymeric smirks against her skin.
"But no one comes out to here at this hour. We should be fine. But was that truly what you wanted to tell me?" Aymeric tilts her back and continues to nibble at her neck.
Kiya feels her face heating up. She brings a hand up to his face and playfully shoves him back. Aymeric feints hurt at her denying him her neck any longer. His eyes turn down and instead goes for the soft spot at the top of her sternum. He earns a keen of surprise as he nibbles and sucks at the skin to leave a mark there.
"Aymeric! Why there!?! I wont be able to wear anything like this for a while." Kiya feels him do his head lower to leave another love bite.
"Hmm, you could wear those outfits for me. I feel like littering your body with as many as I can place on your skin." Aymeric catches an ear between his lips and he has her.
"I love you... but please somewhere more... semi private then?" She whispers enough for him to hear.
"Oh like behind the statue? Like on our honeymoon?" Aymeric touches on her face with a thumb on her cheek over the heart she has there. Kiya's head is tilted closer to Aymeric and they share another kiss.
"Vampire!" Both Kiya and Aymeric freeze, a mortified look on her face and a shocked one on Aymeric's.
They turn to see a familiar face on the edge of the pool. Fae'a with Meeps giving the two lovers a satisfied smirk of busting them both.
"He is a vampire!" The young one repeats, and Kiya scrambles out of Aymeric's embrace to look decent. Aymeric coughs and tries to think of a way to explain.
"Yes, he is a vampire. Practicing to be one for All Saint's Wake. We will leave it at that." Meeps confirms for them to make it easier.
Kiya curls her tail around herself and pins her ears to her head. Aymeric hides a smirk behind a hand at seeing his wife so flustered.
"What brings you two out so late?" Aymeric summons his voice.
"Fae'a was wound up so an evening bath to wear him out. I could ask what are you two doing out here, but there is a child present now." Aymeric nods understanding.
"Just on a date. About to head home soon." Kiya finally speaks up and once she feels well composed of herself they both walk over to the mother and son. Aymeric kneeling down to lift Fae'a up. Meeps notices the forlorn look on his face. Then turns to Kiya.
"Only a few more months for you right? Then you will enjoy that sight." She points to Aymeric absolutely fawning over Fae'a and nuzzling his face with his own.
Kiya smiles wistfully. The dress she wears a bit loose over the bump.
"Aye, he's worried sometimes if he'll be a good father." Kiya catches Aymeric's stare. Meeps looks between the two.
"I don't have doubts. If he treats Fae'a like his own, then your child will be spoiled let alone have him doting left and right." Meeps notes Kiya smile brief, a sense of longing behind her eyes.
"May I talk with you a bit?" Meeps asks, and looks over to Aymeric.
"Could you help give him his bath while I steal your wife for a moment?" Aymeric nods and they walk to a very shallow spot where Fae'a can splash and play about.
Meeps takes Kiya off out of earshot.
"I heard from Shuri that you tried to ask about your past self from Amaurot. To Kivera." Kiya nods.
"My advice is to leave it be. Kivera knows what she is doing when it concerns the matter. Some things are best off forgotten. And you should not stress yourself while pregnant." Kiya raises her head up at Meeps words and nods.
"Now, you should get some rest while you can." Meeps turns to head back and Aymeric holds a well worn out Fae'a. Drying him off.
"One worn out child." Aymeric hands Fae'a over to Meeps and she smiles.
"Aymeric, I should have you do this more often." Meeps takes over and Aymeric sees a gentle expression on Kiya's face when she sees him dote on children.
"Something on my face?" He teases. Kiya shakes her head and laughs slightly.
"No, just wondering how I ended up with a generous man. We should get home so Meeps can get her little one to bed. I fear if we overstay we will just write him up." Kiya looks to Meeps who confirms this. Aymeric nods and bids farewell to Fae'a.
Kiya nuzzles him brief before they leave the two. Giving Meeps a smile and thanking her for her advice. Fae'a patted at her stomach long enough to feel a faint movement, face lighting up at the feel of life inside of Kiya.
They both walk in silence to the apartment Kiya claimed a while back. Aymeric follows her inside.
They spend their time to make something to eat and then wind down with relaxing with each other. Kiya feels his hands on her and she becomes lost in his touch. Gentle and takes his time to make her feel loved without it leading to something more intimate. He merely touches her and caresses neglected spots from her face, hands, arms, and the swell of her abdomen.
Kiya feels protected in his arms as she lays with him on a floor sofa with the edge of the kotatsu blanket tugged over their hips.
Aymeric holds her in his arms face buried into her neck listening to her breathing.
"I pray to Halone each day that you and our child is healthy and happy. I hope to provide you with happiness." Kiya winds her arms around him.
"You already make me happy Aymeric. Giving me so much that I wish I could return it." Aymeric raises his head to look her in the eyes.
"Oh? I think I know of how." Kiya looks at him quizzically.
"Just be with me. And stop chasing the events of a past that you shouldn't remember? I dont know what I would do if I lost you the same way Kivera lost Damien." He hugs her to him and Kiya feels her cheeks flush at realizing how selfish she had been in her quest for a lost identity.
"Okay. I'll be with you. I mean I am already married to you." Kiya says and Aymeric smiles moving to pin her beneath him now.
"Hey! Be gentle with me. I'm innocent." This gets a raised eyebrow out of him.
"Innocent? Hmm.. I have sordid memories of you acting all but that." Aymeric lowers down and sees that look in his eye from earlier.
"But I am innocent." She counters.
"Not by the time I am done with you then." He lowers down and claims her in a kiss to start other affections.

Abanian au - Lions of Black
A short back story.
Going off of the drabble @meepsthemiqo wrote where Fae is from the same tribe. Figured I’d write what happend~
Mini installments when I have time!
Warnings - Talks of death, village being wiped out. you know the good stuff.
Character mentions -
Fae - Meepsthemiqo
Shuri - @maiden-born-in-snow
Tumblr media
The tribe of black lions, they were mostly amazonian like, keeping to themselves and only expanding their numbers when needed. Their village was on  a border between that of Ghannha and Ghiri. They lived peacefully.
They practiced worship of the Underworld deities, why most did not interfere with them. Their unrivaled nature for magical promise was revered and also the very reason they were targeted.
Kivera was chief of this tribe, and when Yotsuyu propositioned her with surrendering her girls for Garuda. Kivera had balked at the idea and told the woman.
“They will join you in death.” Condemning her tribe to a fate she wish she could have spared now. The week following, their village was set ablaze by Ifrit through Lahabrea, the flames fanned by Yotsuyu wielding the power of her. Grynewaht had ravaged most of the village himself under Yotsuyu’s orders to kill every woman who defied the order to join or die.
Most of these women were too defiant, some biting their own tongues than surrendering and betraying Kivera. Or using their gifts for the sake of what Yotsuyu wanted.
Kivera had hidden her sister under a pile of bodies, telling her to play dead or she will be. She had fended off Grynewaht to the best of her abilities, and after a devastating attack with his hammer into her side. What would be a fatal blow.
Kivera began to pray to every underworld deity that would listen to her plea, to grant her strength as Grynewaht walked to the mass of bodies. He had recounted two miqo running this way and only saw the one.
Kivera’s prayer was answered by two beings in Agni and Kali. Granting her power of destruction and fire from the underworld. When strength flooded her form, she leapt and jumped onto the back of Grynewaht before he had reached Kiya, stabbing him on his right shoulder-blade.
The fight she endured then was much more different, she had moved in circles around him, and kept him on his feet even luring him away with angered taunts. Kivera dealt a death blow on Grynewaht stabbing him through his heart with her blade. In her anger she had summoned flames through the blade and burned not only his body but soul to nothing.
They had received help in the Shivan showing up at the signs of an attack on the borders of the land. It was in this time frame when Thordan, the acting leader of the Shivan army drew a lucky blow in killing Lahabrea whilst Ysayle had him frozen in diamond dust. A long fight, the rest of the Shivan army went through the remainder of the village for survivors and left once the amaalja had shown up.
It was through the a’maalja that Kiya was saved from starvation. Kivera entrusting them with her. While she sought her options, she had inquired with Ysayle who suggested Lakshmi’s region. She would have taken Kivera and Kiya, if it weren’t for Thordan on the side of killing the remaining black lions. She did not have the power yet to dismiss the orders of Thordan.
Kivera since in this had gained a full hate for the region under Garuda. The face of the empress may have changed, but the same spirit of Garuda still lives, the same one that ordered her tribe killed.
Any assassin or Ghannhan solider that slips into Ghiri is personally dealt with by her. She had informed Shuri of her detest of Ala Ghannha, to where the au ra woman let Kivera confide and understood her rage.
She lets her do as she wants, as long as she doesn’t witness it. Kivera teaches her sister now similar magic. Along with one other student in the woman from Phoenix in fire magic.
Kivera had further shown her grace through the way she has trounced every person has come to try and gain hers or Shuri’s hand. Including Ardbert, who has yet to beat her, but earned her eye and tease as a continual spar partner.
She doesn’t use her power except with Kiya and on those who she targets. She uses her flames to teach Kiya her open spots by lighting her blades on fire near a spot she needs to work on.
She also guides her in following her heart, Kiya holds back her feelings seeing how Kivera struggles to upkeep her titles, and doesn’t want to bring her disgrace. She learned from her sister the fate of everyone they had once knew. They deem the one that ran to Ghannha as a traitor to their kin. For siding with their very enemy.
The two had returned to their village to burn the rest of it, scattering the ashes of the fallen in a river to carry out funeral rites in hope they find peace.
There was no joy in the day Kivera learned of Yotsuyu’s death, only further anger. Her tribe believed in death through honorable fights than using poisons. Something beneath the leader. She would never revert to such tactics. Fae knew of this, and still carried it out. Igniting the leader’s ire further in how she not only ran to their enemy, but now even is the new vessel for the spirit.
Kivera spends her days now, making sure her sister doesn’t die, and also ensuring she can win the eye of a certain prince. She had seen the fluster on her face after the first encounter. Then again after she returned. She had smirked almost in realization they had won that side. Even if it meant she would dress up for Shuri as per her loss of a bet.

Abanian Nights.
Aymeric x Kiya Middle-East AU!
I got an idea for this and well I hope it works out nicely. Try to remain respectful naturally to cultures.
Under a lovely trope of enemies to lovers.
Featuring @maiden-born-in-snow ‘s Shuri
Tumblr media
Gyr Abania is a hard land to live in, and through the different people. The structures were different between poor and rich. Those in the land believed between the different deities, some of Lakshmi, some of Shiva, and of Garuda. The primal deities holding reign over different regions.
In the heart of Gyr Abania in Ala Mhigo, in the main castle lives a king and his family. Ysayle and her brother Aymeric, under the rule of Thordan. Guarded by many guards. This house was protected under Shiva, and had many assassination attempts by those under Garuda.
The son of Thordan learned well how to hold himself in fights. He was well groomed in his status, his skills in both bow and sword, and how to bargain and reason with peddlers. He did not fancy the way that other princes would bed many women, or put notches in bedposts. It didn’t stop others from trying to persuade him.
He preferred the company of Estinien, his hand guard most of the time, letting him escape some of the castle walls to a little ways away where he trains in private from time to time.
“I’m fine for the time being, Estinien. Take a break for a bit.” Aymeric needed to breathe himself from all the ways people guide his hand everywhere. From how he is suppose to act, to who he should marry. He was arranged to someone he didn’t know, while his guard has his eye for the Princess of Lakshmi.
He has seen their guards, how most of Lakshmi’s region are all women. Strong women, surely he’d love to have one of them over someone from Garuda. The empress of Garuda, Yotsuyu had demanded him as an arranged marriage, and he rather not.
Aymeric’s thoughts are drawn out by what sounds like a hiss in the air. His head snaps up in time to see a sword in front of him. He parries it, and jumps back to see a shadow dart around him, aiming for his side.
He parries the sword and grits his teeth a little at how powerful the sword strike is. The figure jumps back, and he is met with a small miqo woman. Green eyes glaring at him, and sword poised to strike already.
“Wait a minute!” He fends her off from another attack on him, and they both start trading blows of sword to sword. Aymeric actually finds himself enjoying it if it weren’t for the fact she wanted to kill him.
The woman tires and jumps back a bit, breathing a bit harder as she glares at him. Aymeric was kept on his toes, but impressed, her dress was one he recognized as a Lakshmi follower.
“What is your name?” Aymeric asks, keeping an eye on her for any further attacks.
“Why do you care? Prince! You’re not going to live long enough to really know it.” She spits out, and takes her stance a bit more. Aymeric raises his hand up to keep her from attacking.
“I’d love to know the name of the woman who bested me. At least.” He tries to buy himself time. The woman lifts her sword towards his face.
“Kiya, of Lakshmi. Second hand guard to princess Shuri.” Aymeric places his palm on the flat of her sword, and pushes it away from himself, he then quickly grabs his own sword and slams it against the flat of her blade causing a shock in her. Aymeric is quick to round himself and slip behind her grabbing her from behind trapping her arms to her sides as she kicks her feet. He lifts her with ease even feels her kick at his thigh as he holds her in such a way.
“Let me go!” Kiya squirms in his grasp, Aymeric keeps hold of her for his life knowing she’ll attempt to use her sword on him if he lets her loose.
“Not until you stop trying to attack me!” Her tail wriggles against his leg, and she growls under her breath. Kiya narrows her eyes, and flattens her ears to her head. Aymeric feels her stop resisting so much.
“Are we good then?” Aymeric asks, not letting his grip loose on her at all. She is light.
“I have no choice in the matter. I’ll be good.” She hisses out.
“Who sent you.” He asks.
“Secret.” She retorts, and Aymeric lets her on her feet but keeps her arms trapped to her sides still.
“You are in no position to keep a secret. I could have you executed here. Now, who sent you.” He orders her.
“Matoya. Lakshmi’s advisor. Said the best time to attack would be tonight.”  Kiya tests her pull away, and Aymeric tightens his hold again. She doesn’t resist much, he is stronger than her.
“I’ll have to change my habits then. As for you. I don’t meet many women who can hold a sword the way you do. Where did you learn?” Aymeric feels her shrug him off, and he lets go, staying on his guard as she goes to retrieve her sword.
“I train with the Ananta. Your hand is impressive yourself, but you leave yourself open it is laughable.” Aymeric raises an eyebrow to this.
“Yet you did not strike me in those open spots. Why is that if you aimed to kill me.”
“Your friend is still around. Be careless of me if I killed you while the spearman can attack.” She narrows her eyes, Aymeric sees her take her stance more for defense. He bends to inspect her form a bit. She is stunning under the moonlight, tanned in skin, bright green eyes, hair tied up, and a scar on the left side of her face.
Tumblr media
“I see.” Amusement in his voice, Aymeric hears the footsteps in the distance of Estinien returning soon. He keeps his gaze on Kiya.
“I could keep you in this palace here. We could use a strong woman around like you.” Kiya laughs at his words.
“I’d only go with you, if you’d win my hand.” Kiya takes a few steps back towards the other way out of the spot.
“Who are you talking to, Aymeric?” Estinien gets his attention off of Kiya, and when Aymeric turns to look back he sees Kiya had vanished almost.
“The wind.” He answers absentminded.
“So you converse with the wind now?” Estinien teases him, and Aymeric gives a wry grin.
“Apparently I do. It is late, we should get back before anyone important notices I am gone.” Aymeric glances over his shoulder to see Kiya peek her head from the doorframe of the other archway. He raises an eyebrow to her, then turns his attention in front of him, before Estinien presses question further.
Kiya before he turned away sticks her tongue out, then runs off back to a base camp that was set up for her group.
“How did it go?” Came a ask, Matoya sees Kiya stiffen at her voice, and look her way.
“He’s skilled in the sword.” Kiya answers brisk, the sway of her tail shows agitation in her returning empty handed.
“The night is still young, go again!”
“That is suicide! He’s already on alert!”
“But not of the same face! Go!” She demands, and Kiya turns on her heel to head back. She hisses under her breath.
Kiya sighs to herself, she grabs another item to use instead, a small dagger. Racing back to find a way into the structure.
Aymeric had resigned himself to his chambers, his mind already full of thoughts of the fiery woman he had encountered. How she danced around him with ease, if she had truly meant to harm him. If she was to assassinate him why didn’t she kill him.
He thought he felt the sensation of the end of his bed dip, his mind alert, he shifts a foot and feels weight. Aymeric jolts upright, only to be shoved down and pinned by a body stradling his waist, and Kiya aiming a dagger at his head, he moves his head to the side in time to avoid it. He shoves her and flips her over and underneath him.
A hand clasps over Kiya’s mouth to keep her from yelling. She is met with a stare from Aymeric and he eyes the dagger embedded in the pillow where his head was.
“You have alot of bravery to attack me twice in the same night. Ah!” He pulls his hand back after feeling her teeth dig into his palm. She struggles against him to wriggle out from underneath him. Kiya kicks her feet out, while Aymeric wrests her hands above her head, and pins her legs with his waist.
“Enough!” He grabs the dagger she had used and holds it at her neck. Her eyes only glare and she turns her head.
“Why are you so intent on having mine head tonight? Speak!”
“I am just ordered to do it! And I obey it!” Kiya shifts away from the blade, and Aymeric moves it away sitting up. He notes she isn’t fighting him like earlier. Probably not to draw attention to her location.
“You should leave before you’re caught.”
“Why are you sparing me twice? I’m trying to kill you.”
“If I had to, I rather fight you on equal footing than like this.” He keeps her dagger.
“I’ll be holding onto this however, to ensure you don’t try again tonight.” Kiya glowers up at him from her spot, he keeps her wrists together. If he had been any other kind of man. He does lean over her when she tries to get up and claims a quick kiss on her. The act baffles her and causes her to make a noise in protest to it.
She with her feet free, she kicks his side, and scrambles out. Aymeric is given a powerful slap that has him touching the right side of his face. He eyes her with a bit of pride in his eyes at finding such a fiery woman. Nothing like the women in Ala Mhigo, or Ala Ghiri. She held her own, she is strong, and could prove to be a powerful ally if he could earn her.
“Why did you!?!”
“For trying to kill me.”
“So you kiss me?!”
“A promise.”
“A promise for what!?!”
“I think I’ll chase after you. So to accept your challenge to win your hand.” Kiya is dumbfounded at his words.
“Ha! It will be a difficult challenge! You would have to take on the challenge most foreigners take in Lakshmi’s region.” Kiya holds her own pride in her eyes.
“Oh? And what challenge is that? Tell me.”
“It’s an archer’s contest. If you really want to know, find your way to the banquet there.” She quirks an eyebrow at him, and he feels a sense of wild in his nature.
“Aye then, I’ll be there and do it. What would be the prize?”
“Any of the women under Lakshmi’s region. From Princess to peasant. Yet there hasn’t been a person able to do it yet.” Kiya folds her arms across her chest seeing the way he stares at her.
“Then I will be the first.” Aymeric takes the challenge. Kiya beams a taunting smirk at him.
“Challenge accepted then. Don’t die to anyone then.” Aymeric sees her run towards his open window, and sees her climb out of it. He touches the back of his hand to his face and winces at the slap that was still there.
Kiya returned back to the encampment and informed Matoya of the conditions, in how perceptive the prince is.
“You sure he wants to take that on?” Matoya wonders why a prince no less would even want to. She then laughs.
“Seems you caught his eye well. Can’t say I blame him, you are a catch.” She earns Kiya glaring at her.
“I don’t have time for marriage.” Kiya can already see the wheels turning in the old woman.
“Whatever you are planning, I don’t want anything of it. I’m going to report to Shuri, the to bed.” She leaves Matoya, who talks with other servants around her to begin preparations for a custom they have had.
Lakshmi’s trial is one for those trained in bows, with a special ring of targets to shoot arrows through and to be done a certain way that all three rings get pierced at the same time.
Kiya has seen many men try it, and only a few succeed that were actually skillful and have claimed women for their hands in marriage.
“How did it go?” Kiya raises her head to see Shuri, dressed in fine silks, and interested in hearing any stories.
“He was too swift to kill.” Kiya answers. Earning a raised eyebrow from the au ra.
“That’s a shame, how was fighting with the prince?” Shuri sits upright wanting to know. Her other hand guard Ardbert looks between them, one of the only men of the guard keep.
“He fights so well that I almost didn’t want to stop. It’d be a shame to kill such a fine man.” Kiya felt the words leave her, and sees the white haired woman grin a bit.
“Oh? Is he good looking as they rumor him?” Kiya feels her face heat up at the memory she had with the man in question.
“He is. I should tell you more tomorrow. More in private.” She looks to Ardbert, who eyes her weary about secrecy.
“Tomorrow then.” She looked forward to stories of different lands Kiya is sent to.
Once by herself, Kiya feels her nerves on fire, the kiss she had from the prince left her with a sensation she wasn’t sure she liked or not.
“Let’s see you pass that trial then.” She murmurs under her breath.

Tumblr media
Aymeric had stepped outside his home for fresh air. The previous night he had his own worries to deal with that he did not even entertain the turmoils that bothered the Scions. They were far from his mind, the event that took place in his home required his attention greater.
Kiya had gone into labor, and he did not leave her side for anything, not even the messenger or linkpearl that asked for his presence at the Rising Stones. In his haste he had told them pointedly to not bother him with trivial nonsense. Using his former Ishgard stance to not get involved in foreign matters.
It was foreign for him, dealing with a supernatural being. Kivera, he could never be truly angry with her, he had given him his wife. Who needed him more. He sided with the reaper in her methods, for the fact Cid meddles with things he should leave dormant, while G’raha Tia had cheated death a few times. Those thoughts vanish as he remembers the fresh face of his daughter.
Alyse was finally born after what felt like eight hours of labor. He had stepped out to get some air, he looked dishelved, but a wide smile on his face as he felt the warm sun despite the cold of Ishgard’s permanent winter.
Kiya was wiped out from exerting her energy, when he left her and Alyse, Kiya had protectively held their daughter close to her chest as she slept. A sight he wished he could capture to always remember.
“Ser Aymeric!” Aymeric looks over to see Edmont.
“Lord Edmont! Good to see you.” He had yet to tell anyone about the birth, and Edmont is the perfect first person for him to break the news to. The only other people that would know is Whitecape and the scared messenger he yelled at for bothering him while his wife was giving birth.
“You look rough, the wife?” He teases Aymeric, a wry smile graces his lips.
“Indeed, she kept me up half the night with bringing in our daughter.” Aymeric’s tone is teasing, he sees Edmont’s face light up.
“She?” Aymeric nods, the older Fortemps places a hand on Aymeric’s shoulder.
“They’re both well?”
“Kiya is asleep and so is Alyse.” He answers his question, and starts to lead him back to his home. He knows Edmont wants to see a grandchild. He’d still have to wait a while before any of his other sons marry.
“Alyse? A girl?” He felt a little concern, the first born between them being a girl. She’ll have alot of things to accomplish in the name of her parents.
“Aye, even I was surprised.” They speak more in hushed whispers upon entry of the Borel manor. Silently Aymeric has Edmont warm up by a fire, himself included as they make small talk till he went to retrieve Alyse from Kiya’s arms.
The first noticeable feature Edmont sees is the ears and tail. His heart warmed from both and is grateful to see her healthy.
“She’s miqo, like Kiya.” Edmont remarks quietly, the soft face of Alyse makes him wish he wasn’t so old to have another child blessed to him. As he touches Alyse’s face the infant’s mouth opens wide, in a natural reaction to feed.
“Be a while before we see her eyes. I wonder whose she’ll have, Aymeric’s or Kiya’s?”
“Mine. Got a glimpse of them after the birth when she was awake. She already has my eyes, but the same seeker of the sun.” Edmont understood, and brushes his thumb over Alyse’s face touching softly. He felt great able to see a grandchild before he would end up in death himself at some point.
“Already stunning like her parents, the city will love her.” He is certain, she is bound for greatness much like Aymeric was. He prayed that Alyse doesn’t suffer the vast racism still within the city. She is a mixed, and mixed were heavily discriminated against still.
Edmont hands Alyse back to Aymeric who looks just right with her. Though compared to the elezen men, she was smaller in the crooks of their arms.
“May Halone bless and guide her through. She should be returned to her mother before she misses her.” Aymeric nods, and goes to give Alyse back to Kiya. He sees Edmont out, giving him permission to tell choice people. He had moogles to deliver letters to Estinien and Shuri about Alyse.
When he is back next to Kiya, he sees odd green eyes glare at him from her nest of blankets.
“You took her from me.” Aymeric almost feels fear from her tone, a little anger in her voice.
“F-forgive me, my love. Edmont.” Aymeric feels sheepish, Kiya snickers a little then winces.
“I only jest, should have woken me up to speak with him.” Kiya felt her body like she had plummeted from Kugane’s tower. Sore in every nerve, her back felt twisted from being bent in a position that helped ease birth.
“How are your hands?” She asks Aymeric as she sits up enough to take Alyse.
“Sore still, but nothing that won’t heal. I let you rest longer, you were up half the night after all.” Kiya looks up into loving blue eyes staring at her. He looked excited, he looked proud, he had nothing but love directed at Kiya and Alyse.
Aymeric feels another linkpearl message and answers it this time. Kiya gets one herself but chooses to half ignore it.
“Aymeric, we’ve been trying to reach you and Kiya. Is everything alright?” Tataru.
“My apologies for ignoring the linkpearls last night, Kiya and I were unavailable.”
“What had you two busy that you didn’t answer?” It felt like a tease.
“A birth.” Kiya answers groggy and half annoyed. She can almost see the lalafell’s shocked expression. She flattens her ears knowing what is about to happen.
“AND YOU DIDN’T TELL ME!?! WHAT?! YOU HAD THE BABY?!” Aymeric grimaces himself at the assault on his ears. Kiya looks at him pleading.
“Miss Tataru, she was in labor, she couldn’t very well answer you.” Aymeric defends.
“I’ll be over soon! I have to see, are they a boy or a girl!?”
“Alyse. A girl.” Another shout of excitement from Tataru.
“Do you want me to tell the others?” Tataru is excited, this was good news after the situation that presented itself the previous night.
“You can tell them. But I am only accepting a few visitors at a time.” Kiya moves closer to rest her head against Aymeric’s shoulder, Alyse had fed enough.
“Will do! I will visit in a few days then!” Tataru excitedly ends the linkpearl to go tell the Scions the uplifting news about the baby.
Kiya eyes Aymeric, and he leans over to give her a gentle kiss.
“You weren’t going to ask what last night was about?” Kiya inquires.
“Frankly, I do not care. From what a messenger at the door said, it was a matter of Kivera attacking Cid and G’raha Tia.”
“She attacked them? Why?” Aymeric helps adjust Alyse between him and Kiya as he laid next to her.
“I do not know why, but from my encounters with her. She doesn’t do it without reasons. My guess they stepped where they shouldn’t have. Let’s not dwell on that for now my love? We have more important matters here. You getting more rest, and me to dote on both of you.” Another kiss on her face, and Kiya turns her head to press one back to the side of his face.
“Agreed. Maybe I should follow Shuri’s example and become a stay at home mother for Alyse.” Kiya muses aloud.
“I would not be opposed to that idea. It means you are here safe, instead of nearly dying fighting monsters left and right, solving everyones problems when the only thing I want you to solve right now. Is how to appease my need to kiss you senseless.”
“What stops you?” Kiya teases him.
“The frailty that has hit you.”
“Frail? Me? Frail? You do know a few elixirs should have me up and running again.” Green eyes look at him with playful intent.
“Oh, so you weren’t pleading to all twelve deities about how you were about to die last night?”
“In my defense. I was in pain. You push another living thing out of your body the way I did.” Kiya’s face darkens. Aymeric presses his face close to one of her ears.
“I much rather push something into you.” His voice a quiet low hum, Kiya hits his shoulder for that one, seeing his devilish smile.
“You are a tease..” She turns her head enough, and Aymeric closes his distance to kiss her full, earning hers back.
“You’ll forgive me, of course when you want to again.”
“Maybe after seeing Kan-E-Senna. She might be able to speed my healing up.” She feels her face flushed. Kiya turns her attention to their daughter for now and lowers her head to nuzzle her cheek to hers.
“Aye, she’ll visit soon after I send the letter. Be prepared for alot of visitors soon. Nanamo will be excited and so too will Krile. Meeps and Fae’a might enjoy visiting too.” Aymeric nuzzles the other side of Alyse’s face feeling the soft skin against his cheek.
“Now, my love. Get some rest. I’ll be here when you wake up.”

So you could live.
A bit... no quite angsty.
some spoilers in shadowbringers.
Let’s just get to it.
Hecate.
Tumblr media
“You may not understand now, why you are never to remember Amaurot. I paid a price, and that price was those memories. I hope that you remain happy, I hope that you have found love as I wished you did.”
“I only knew loneliness. Everyone around me had a significant other. Or someone they thought special to them. I did not.”
“What I had instead, were books brought to me. Those were my comfort. Those were my loved ones. Nabriales never understood, and never tried.”
I dreamed of a world where if I could live again. I’d never want a single memory of this life. Sadly, that day came true.”
“I remember her eyes, they were green and full of tears. Yet she didn’t look the type to cry...”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“She gave you her name, so that this one could be forgotten. It should be forgotten. As the person that bore it is. I don’t think the others would remember Hecate, but they’ll remember Kiya.”
“I took an offer, so you could live.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I live to remember. Kivera shot down every advance to learn of you. Even friends won’t tell me anything. They tell me it is for the best.”
“You are wrong, there are those who knew you, there are those who had loved you. Even when you thought no one did. I can’t remember you, not all of you. Only your name. A name should never be forgotten. It is why I’ve named my daughter. Alyse Hecate de Borel. So that your memory can live.”
Tumblr media
“Hades had said to remember us. So I remember only enough. If there was a way. To show what this life that was spared gained. Family, honors, beloved souls, and adventures to last lifetimes and ongoing.”
“Aymeric doesn’t know where I picked the middle name from. But I chose it so you live.
Tumblr media
“May your spirit live on in Alyse. Just as Minfilia lives on in Ryne.”
