Apotheosis time loop AU where Rumi gets stuck in a time loop because they keep trying to get this “perfect ending” but people keep dying and the few time they manage to make it through with no one dying before all the gods are killed they still fail to get a good ending,

Each time they try to write things off as just “visions” and act like they didn’t experience death and failure over and over again until at some point they realize they have to let go of their desire to be in control of things at all times and that puts them down the canon path and things end up ok.
