BMW i4 eDrive 40 Sport was revealed in India at an initial price of Rs 69.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The latest BMW i4 electric sedan is the company’s first four-door sedan offering for India and globally is obtainable in two variants — the BMW i4 eDrive 40 and BMW i4 M50 xDrive. For India, BMW has got the i4 eDrive 40 variant only, and the electric four-door sedan will be traded as a CBU in India. The BMW i4 gets an electric motor on its rear axle making it a rear-wheel-drive vehicle that produces 335 bhp and 430 Nm of peak torque.

KIA’S STAGGERING EV IS HERE :

Introduction:

The Korean car makers have finally launched their much awaited and hyped KIA EV6 the crossover that sits in a complete lap of luxury and so the prices are the price of Rs 59.95 lakh for the RWD variant, going up to Rs 64.95 lakh for the AWD version (ex-showroom, India).

How Does it competes with its rival in terms of pricing?

There is as such no direct rival to kia ev 6 in the market right now but it’s price range comes close to BMW’s i4 whose ex showroom price is rs 69.90 lakhs. , which has an 83.9kWh battery pack and 590km claimed range

The kia’s sibling hyundai’s ioniq is due in india and in comparision to ev 6 I is going to be priced cheaper as it is completely assembled in india and it will also compete with Volvo xc 40 recharge once its prices are revealed

Battery and Performance:

The EV 6 in india comes with a sole 77.4kwh battery pack for its both the variant that Is RWD and AWD.The RWD variant produces a extra ordinary 229bhp clubbed with 350nm of torque while the AWD variant produces a staggering 325bhp and 605nm of torque.Its takes you to a midblown 0 to 100kmph in just 5.2 seconds For AWD Variant .

On its full charge it will give a range of 528 km.For Charging 350kw charger will charge the car from 10 to 80 percent in just easy 18 minutes while the 50 kw charger will charge the car in 73 minutes only for the same percent as mentioned above and with the wall charger of home it will fully charge the car in 4 hours.

Features and Interior:

The car comes with a 14 speaker meridian sound system with a 12.3 inch instrument clusterIt also has a HUD.It has got a front ventilated seats and a 10 way power adjustable seat 65 plus features such as 360 degree camera ,power tailgate and much more bells and whistles.It does not let you down even when it comes to safety such as it has got a segment leading 8 airbags, a entire bunch of cool adas system and features, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, blind spot assist, rear-cross traffic assist, driver attention warning and much more.

Drive And Handling Review:

How is it to drive the car?its absolutely stellar to ride and handle on good roads but on bad roads of city and pot holes of city you need to be careful as its suspension are kind of on a stiffer side but when it comes to the handling of his car its easy to handle and drive this car in city as well as out on a highway you just get on the gas and you are already gone the pick up of an EV is just undoubtable and same is the case with this ev car as well.The Brakes are also good not the best but gives you the confidence you need.the nose dive effect under the heavy braking is there.

Verdict: If you are looking for an EV car in this price segment then this is definetly the car to go with if you so called do not want the german logo.
