I'm new here, tell me more everything about Slytherin Lily! I've read all the snippets and I'm in love

Ah, well hello there and welcome!

I’ve been working on a Slytherin Lily fic off-and-on for nearly a year, and just completed the final push to finish my first draft. It was supposed to be a oneshot and is now just under 55k words 😅. It follows Lily through Hogwarts and part of the war, and likewise her relationship with James when they find themselves in different circumstances than canon.

It will still be a while before I post (definitely need to rewrite and edit) but I’m hoping for a late August/early September rollout with weekly chapters since it’ll all be done.

BUT for this weekend I’ll probably post a poll to see what XL snippet y’all want to read ☺️

I just wanted to tell you how much I love you're Slytherin Lily fic! It has gone on my top 5 anticipated chapter release list so quickly I think I have whip lash. Thank you so much for sharing such great content with the fandom and I truly wish you well. I'll be checking out your other series soon and likely leaving a heap tonne of comments if the writing quality is even to half the level.

P.S. Your blog has such a lovely aesthetic, what inspired you in that direction?

Oh my goodness this is so kind of you to say THANK YOU! This fic has been close to my heart for over a year now, and I'm SO excited to finally post it and it's been an absolute joy to see how people respond to it 💕💕💕 I hope you're able to find some other fics of mine you'll like- I feel like by now I've dipped my toes into a bit, so there's a little bit of everything to choose from!

And thank you! I've had this blog for about 14 years or so and I don't think I had updated the layout in like....several years when I decided last summer to revamp it (I found the layout from pirateskinned). I've always liked the one-columned layouts with an 'about me' sidebar, and the colors and links were pretty customizable on this design. I had just created my masterlist post and I decided to choose a color from the header photo and played around with a few different pinks until I landed on this kind of muted one!

It took a few days of looking around and playing around 'til I got it where I wanted it, but I'm glad you like it, and thank you again so much for all your lovely words!
