I am very fortunate to have been nominated for a dimensional award for Spectrum 24. The funnest thing about this is that I can share it with a bunch of collectors who own pieces from this installation. See a piece you own? Tag yourself! Thanks so much to @gingerlytwisted , the daughter of @klbarnash , @ramirezphil , @mikemayart , @bulldogpottery , @cliffbmitchell , @oddfauna , and many more! :) http://ift.tt/2mN9XEm

Samantha is starting another throwing cycle. Bruce is finishing up glazes a few more pieces and testing out some new materials in his favorite glazes. We will soon be loading a glaze kiln! We decided to take a little more time to test some glazes and have postponed loading for a couple of days.

A finished mug...now waiting to dry so it can go into its first firing, we call a bisque firing. The bisque firing hardens the mug and makes it more durable to glaze.

Bruce of Bulldog Pottery from Seagrove, NC made multiple Tygs so we have plenty to design and apply different sprig image combinations too. Tygs reached their popularity during the the 1500's and into the 1600's. Tygs were made in large quantities at Wrotham in Kent and in many Staffordshire factories.
