Based solely on my experience in the Hetalia fandom, I've seen more colorism in he Genshin fanbase than I ever did with the Hetalian one.

#marge's stuff #fandom stuff #don't get me wrong the hetalia fanbase has own problems #tho tbf I havnt been there for a long while #but I just came back from twt seeing ppl make fun of others who complain abt Candace/Kandake #and just #yeah no #Sumeru is just a whole ass issue #yes; I know I'm in no way SWANA #but all you need to do is to look up what kandake is vs what genshin made #but even then #several others from those regions already voiced their issues with it #besides on my more pragmatic side when it comes to cultures and history #it's just inaccurate and based out off stereotypes #I don't ask every piece of media to be accurate to the very detail but the character's released are just ridiculous #then again I SHOULD have seen this coming from a mile away #I should have ever since from the very start when they had the chapter teaser video thing #where they teased the seven nations and I heard the music they used for Natlan along with lore related to it and #I just knew #I already had low expectations for Natlan but I should have expected it for Sumeru #anw I know some people fron the fanbase that do criticize these things but still #Genshin is still big and it will be for a long time so it would either take never or forever for me to come back
