hi, friends! before i continue clogging your dash with chicago fire content, i just wanted to give an update since i'm about 8 episodes in now, and boy what a wild ride it's been already, phew!!

okay so let's see, where do i begin.... 🤔

ig i don't really have much to say in regards to casey as i am not super attached to his character (idk he seems pretty bland to me, and the only storyline of his that had me hooked on him was his battle with that dirty cop, and that as of rn has been put on hold).

BUT SEVERIDE, OH MAN OH MAN 😍😍😍 MY POOR BROKEN LITTLE MEOW MEOW SMOOCHY POO!!!!!!!! i hate to say that i am enjoying seeing him on such a downward spiral since darden's death, but i can't help it!! the whole reason i started watching chicago fire was for him and stella (and she's not even here yet!!!!!). i can't wait to watch those walls he's built up come tumbling down. especially once stella walks into his life.

also, i know i mention this, but i totally didn't realize that lauren german starred in this show. when i first saw her i was like, "is that... is that chloe decker's face on that blonde girl?????" lmaoooo. it threw me for such a loop at first. i was even more pleasantly surprised when they dropped the ball that she's a lesbian, i seriously started howling at the moon. (although i'm with gabby in regards to her whole pregnant ex situation. this is so messy and i'm not here for them, and i don't care for clarice at all, she needs to settle things on her own with her husband).

and speaking of gabby, i think as of rn she's my favorite female character on the show. however i will admit she is very flawed in the sense that she is a bit of a wild card. i wanna be supportive of her, but atm she's making all the wrong choices in whatever scenario she's put in, and although so far it always works out in her favor, it's just so 'eeee, yikes' 😬 to watch because it's like i get it. trust me, as an aries girl who has really bad temper and flies off the handle i can tell you i would get just as frustrated in any one of these situations, but idk... in this professional setting i'd probably keep a better lid on it, cause you really can't be knocking on people's doors accusing them of poisoning their children (whether or not it's true).

peter is the most precious though, i just wanna bundle him up in my arms and swaddle him. i'm curious to know more about his dad though since his dad's character is rooted in him and he's following in his footsteps as a firefighter. i'll be interested to hear how he unfortunately died, and how that has inflicted peter throughout his whole life, and how his death influenced him to make his career decision (or if he always knew he wanted to be a firefighter like his dad).

the chief is another character that i don't really have much insight on atm (i feel like he's a tougher nut to crack) i know he worked with peter's father, and i love that he's sort of a father figure to peter. i know he feels like it's his responsibility to do so. but again i think like peter's father is an intricate part of both their characters stories and once that's delved into a little more, i might be able to navigate his character a little better.

welp.... ig these are sort of my thought's on chicago fire so far?????? i promise to do a better job at liveblogging my journey for those who are interested.
