so i keep getting onedrive notifs about screenshots from very old objection.lol sessions i did with people i'm no longer friends with. and it's bittersweet because one of those friendships in particular ended bitterly and painfully. i finally figured out how to actually look at these screenshots in full bc they're not saved to my hard drive anymore. and part of me wants to be sad but also.

how can you be sad when you're being faced with this.

idk there's just something about it. i was in so much pain for almost a year that i deleted all of these from my hard drive and soft/hard blocked all of them because i couldn't stand the thought of them finding me again. i was just so, so, so bitter about it, and i still am in some regards. but i'm working to be a better person, and i've noticed some change and i'm proud of that.

i hope the people who i did these sessions with are doing well, because they were very good friends and they let a lot of things i did slide even though now i view them as unacceptable to do to your best friends. it's a shame it had to end like it did and i regret the things i said, but maybe it was for the best yknow? maybe we weren't as compatible as we thought.

we were stupid teens fresh out of high school and facing the big wide world as a whole for the first time. we were idiots, including and especially me.

i hope they can look at their old objection screenshots as fondly as i do.

I need advice

I made a huge ass objection.lol of a conversation with my (now ex) boyfriend discussing KabuKazu accidentally having Winry in part 1, among some other stuff

Problem is, since making it I've finally fully accepted that he's a huge twat who has done some really fucked up shit (grooming me and God knows how many others, cheating on me with SIX other girls of varying ages, knocking up his ex and not telling me for SEVEN WHOLE YEARS)

But I would still like to post it because I'm really proud of it. I put in a lot of detail and I think it's good.

I guess this is part of a larger problem.

Am I a bad person for still talking to him? I want it to be clear I do not even like him as a person. I genuinely get irritated making small talk with him. The real reason I'm still in contact with him is for validation of my ideas and to RP with.

I guess that makes me a pretty bad person when I put it like that. Like I'm using him. But I feel that after what he put me through, I'm justified in doing so.

And I want it to be CRYSTAL clear that I have scrubbed any influence of his off of my work. I never really used his ideas anyway because to be brutally honest, I never really liked them.

But his characters are gone from my story. As in, Suto's boyfriend was one of his characters, but he's not anymore.

Although his character was technically never going to be in the story, just alluded to, since he wasn't a naruto oc.

Anyway

There's a separate problem in that we created a character together. Now, I'm going to sound arrogant, but I feel like I put more work into him, and I'd rather not get rid of him. But I guess if I have to, then I will.

I need advice. And better judgment.

I just wanted to give another shout out to the 'hasdoneanythingwrong' blogs. Both to active, inactive and ones on hiatus as well. It can be tough at times to do, especially with frequent fan opinion conflicts and the pressure of posting content for the character on a regular basis. It can be difficult too, especially when characters can be interpreted in a vast variety of ways, but the popular representation of them is what is expected. It is pretty awesome to share your love of a character regardless of this and stand by your admiration for them!

Dang 🌌anon's brilliant idea just fueled up my imaginations! If sentient homies were aware of their sprites being used on many platforms, including objection.lol., and would try to communicate with s/o, who is to say they wouldn't do the same thing via headcanons/scenarios? Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself as a disciple of yours... by which I mean I had the same idea as you almost a decade after you did. I'm super late to the game but I've been poking around your blog and Court Records and have just been glad to see that there are others who are invested in AA fan translation... so thanks for all your hard work. I've been making un-localized objection.lols over at @turnabout-trial, which is fun but exhausting. Would love for you to check it out :)

Hello! Sorry I've taken this long to respond, but I'm glad to have more people get involved with fan translation of these games, whether or not they've been localized already. Anyone still following me and actually keeping up with me, go follow @percydew and @turnabout-trial if you haven't already! They provide a lot of good stuff and explain Japanese linguistic and cultural concepts in depth as well. And to top it off, they present it better than I do, lol.

When I started this project a long time ago, I didn't think it would be such a big thing, so I never quite got into the habit of screenshotting anything. In hindsight, I should have done it more. It really goes a long way and better sets the context than I can describe in text.

Back in those days, my laptop was already a year or so old and now it's... Baby Jesus Christ, have I really been going at GSvsAA for over 7 years now? Now I feel like Hobohodo. The only thing I'm missing is a friend who can make spy cameras for me.

Jokes aside, if you ever need my help with that stuff, just hmu. I'm also on discord as @ryubiagagotoku#9211 if you need me. I have notifications turned on for that, so I'd actually be able to get back to you ASAP.
