#rat rambles #splat posting #oh and the occational jellyfish hc ig #salmonids are just so interesting to me I rly wish we knew more abt them #we do have quite a bit already but idc I want MORE #mainly in regards to the physical development of boss salmonids #since some of them are noticably physically different from common salmonids (eg maws big shots and steelheads) #but some of them seem very similar if not identical to common salmonids (like fly fish and scrappers) #based on the way their life cycles are described theres probably some differences between them still thats not expressed as much physically #like for example maybe fly fish are more so defined by a more heightened dexterity and fin eye coordination allowing them to piolet #flying aircrafts the shoot missels and be the worst enemy in the game #and similar with scrappers maybe? #stingers probably just have better balance and extremely heightened eyesight #and other stuff like that idk #I also feel like small fry arent necesarily children but probably just stopped growing for one reason or another as children #the player small fry is definitely young tho albiet probably not as much of a baby as most make it out to be #but like also we dont know its exact origins so I doubt it could rly be assigned a canon age #but its probably not a full adult either way
