#Todays struggle #being too polite to correct someone when they inevitably spelt my name wrong bc it wasn’t important #but then they ask for my email directly after and it becomes obvious they spelt it wrong #so it’s just an unspoken thing but it’s not worth addressing but I still feel awkward about it #someone free me from having a non british name it is hellll #like I actually can’t stand it I hate drawing attention and getting weird looks but it’s literally unavoidable bc of it 🫤🫤🫤🫤 #and another thing #like immediately after meeting someone the first question is alwayss where are u from girly 😁 #like no I’d rather not feel obliged to tell people my whole family history upon first meeting fanks #maybe it’s unreasonable and ik it’s not meant badly bUT #like I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress embracing my heritage and all that but my name is smth I cannot get past #like for once ONCE I would like to meet someone and them just be able to say it without needing it repeated five times and addressing me w #a nickname of some sort
