RobStar Week 2020-Wedding Bells
Hi guys, I know I’m a day off for posting day 6 of RobStar week.  But if you saw my previous post, I had a sudden death in my family and I needed time to process it.  And I appreciate those who sent messgages in understanding.  I just didn’t feel right writing such a happy moment for Robin and Starfire while I felt so sad.
Nevertheless, I have finished writing yesterday’s prompt and I’m happy with it.  I wish I could write more on this, but then we’d be here for hours lol.
As always, my RobStar week postings are connected.  So please go read the other entires before this one.
I will be posting day 7 tomorrow even thought RobStar week has officially ended.  I just didn’t have it in me to write two stories today.
If you'd like to read all my entries in one sitting, here is a link to my FF.Net

Happy Reading!

October 15, 2020
You are cordially invited to attend the wedding of Richard John Grayson & Kory Anderson.
Cyborg tucks his white and gold invitation into his tux as he and Beast Boy make their way to the groom’s suite.
“Yo, Vic.  Do you think he’s freaking out?”  Beast boy asks as he checks his reflection in every mirror they passed in the overly expensive hotel hallway.
Cyborg chuckles and rubs his hands together, “Dick freaking out over his wedding?  Man, oh man!  I hope so, I’m gonna need some sort of entertainment before the reception.”
The two laugh before knocking on the creme colored door that read ‘Groom’ and watched as it swung open, revealing a panic stricken groom.
“Thank god you’re both here, please tell me you have the rings.”
The word ‘rings’ hangs in the air for eternity.  Cyborg looks to Beast Boy, his eye growing wide, and Beast Boy looking at Cyborg with his mouth gapping.
Oh Shit!!!!
Dick’s eyes widen before launching himself at Cyborg and Beast Boy, causing all three men to fall to the ground.
“WHERE ARE THE RINGS?!”
“Dick, man.  Just calm down.”  Cyborg tries to sit up but is knocked back down to the maroon carpet.
Dick gives him a pointed look, “Calm down?  Calm down!  Vic, this isn’t some mission where if I forgot my boa staff I still had my birdarangs as back up.  NO, THIS IS OUR WEDDING!”
Beast Boy turns a pale shade of green and tries to shake himself out of Dick’s hold, but he is no match for his angry leader’s strength.
Dick turns to Beast Boy next and seethed, “And you!  You thought it’d be smart to trust you both with such a simple task! ‘Rob, man.  You can trust us.  We gotchu.’ Ha!  Do you want to be the one to tell Starfire you left our rings halfway across the country?!”
The two Titans on the floor share a horrified glance, “No!”
“Good,”  Dick pushes off of them and gets to his feet, brushing off his dark blue tux pants and readjusting his suspenders and white dress shirt.
Dick storms back into his suit and throws himself onto the white couch.  He rests his elbows on his knees and his head falls into his hands.  The other two Titans cautiously walk inside the room and close the door behind them.
Cyborg approaches Dick warily before settling a hand on his shoulder, “Dick, we’ll get the rings.  Don’t worry about it.”
He groans knowing it was impossible for them to get the rings now.  It finally started to get dark in Gotham and knew the ceremony is about to begin.
Dick drops his hands and falls further back into the couch, “How am I supposed to be a good husband to Kori when I can’t even make sure the rings got here today?  What if it’s a sign, what if we’re not supposed to get married today, what if-“  Dick was cut off by a green hand slapping him across the face.
Beast Boy pulls Dick by his shirt and shakes him, “Pull yourself together man!  What do you mean, ‘How am I supposed to be a good husband’?  Dude, you fucking worship the ground that woman walks on and have taken care of her since day one.  There is no one else that would be a better husband for her than you.  So stop your whining and get your shit together!”
From besides him, Dick could hear Cyborg let out a low ‘Oh damn’.
Beast Boy slowly lets go of Dick and steps back quickly, afraid he’ll come to his senses and attacked him for slapping him.
Dick lets out a long breath, “You’re right.  I’m just nervous and I don’t want to mess this up.  She means too much to me.”  Dick smoothed out his shirt again and stands up.  He makes his way to his nightstand and pulls out his cellphone.  He quickly dials the one person he knew could help them out of their bind.
Dick paces the room waiting for the phone to pick up, “Grayson!  Are you freaking out yet?!”
Dick lets out a huff and cuts to the chase, “Wally, are you still in Star City?”  His voice short.
“Yeah, what up?  I said I’d be there before the ceremony began.  I’m not like Barry who’d be too late.”
“I need a huge favor.”
“Oh?  And what might this favor be?”  Dick can hear the playful tone in Wally’s voice, but he doesn’t have the patience right now.
Cyborg sees the anger start to swell in Dick’s blue eyes, “Damn, Wally has a death wish right now.”  He said to Beast Boy.
“No kidding, dude is an idiot.”
Before Dick has a chance to rip Wally a new one, Cyborg takes the phone out of Dick’s hands and puts it on speaker, “Yo, KF.  We need you to go into the tower and into my room to grab Dick and Kori’s wedding bands.  BB and I forgot them last night before the bachelor party.”
Wally paused on the other end of the phone before responding.  “Holy, shit.  You guys forgot the rings?  How are you two still breathing?!”
Beast Boy frowned, “Dick didn’t hurt us too much-“
“Not dick,” Wally cut in. “I thought for sure Kori would have torn you both in half.”
The room grew silent.
Wally howls with laughter on the other end of the phone, “You mean to tell me Kori has no idea you forgot the rings?  Dick, how are you not even married yet and already keeping secrets from your wife?”
“Wally.”  Dick warns.
Wally laughs again, “Alright, calm down Boy Wonder.  I’ll get the rings.”
Dick sighs in relief, “Thanks, Wally.  Now get here as soon as you can.  The ceremony is about to begin.”
“Roger that.”
And the call ends.
Beast Boy walks over to the fridge for a beer and pops it with his teeth, “See I told you it would work out.”
Dick glares at him and sends his shoe flying at his face.
“EEEPP!”
-------------------------
Kori sits still as the makeup artist puts the final touches on her look before she steps into her wedding gown.  Kori spent the week daydreaming about wearing this gown and walking down the aisle towards Dick.  It is a low back, sweetheart neckline mermaid gown with long lace sleeves and train.  The buttons on the back of her gown are small flowers with rhinestones that will glitter under the full moon.  The makeup artist added the lace and rhinestone veil to her hair.  Kori decided to wear her hair in a low braided bun with small star pins places throughout her auburn locks.
“Viola!  You are a bride!”  The makeup artist stood back to let Kori take a look in the mirror.  She felt herself tear up at her reflection.
“Oh!  I look most delightful, I am the grateful!”  She smiles at her helper through the mirror.
The makeup artists packs up her things and throws her bag over her shoulder, “In all my years of doing makeup, I neva’ thought I’d be doin’ makeup for Bruce Wayne’s son’s bride.  And I don’t think I’ve eva’ had sucha beautiful bride before, your beauty is out of this world!” she said in a thick Gotham accent.
Kori laughs to herself knowing that the makeup artist does not know where she was from.
“Thank you.” The makeup artist smiles at her one last time, takes a few pictures for her portfolio, and leaves the room.
“Friend, Raven.  The artist of makeup has left.  You may reappear.”
Raven steps through the portal she opens in the wall and takes a seat on Kori’s bed.
“Good, I don’t think I would have taken another moment of, “Darlin’ you would look fabulous in pink!’ Yeck.”  Raven rolls her purple eyes.
Kori smiles at her friend and grabs her bouquet of  yellow and red tulips before turning to Raven.
“Is it the time, yet?”
Raven smiles at her friend knowing how big of a moment this is for her.  All she can think back to was that fated day she came crashing into Jump City and changed their lives.  Who knew one day she’d be attending Dick and Kori’s wedding.  Raven can only think back to the feelings the two of them were harboring for one another for years before Dick finally told her how he felt.  The only way Raven could explain it was like being high.  Every time she’d walk in a room, and they were talking, it was like getting hit by a wave, so quick and ready to drag her under.
She knew the feeling all too well herself, but is afraid of how she’d handle her emotions if she were to let herself feel that kind of love completely.
Stupid pointy eared man with the cute fang.
A knock at the door brought Raven from her thoughts.
Starfire squeals knowing who it is.  She pulls up the sides of her dress to prevent herself from tripping on the fabric and dashes to the door.  When she pulls it open, Bruce is standing there adjusting the cufflinks on his black tux.  He looks up to see Starfire smiling at him and he couldn’t help but smile in return.
“Kori, you look stunning.”  He places a gentle kiss on her cheek.
Kori blushes slightly, “Thank you, Bruce.”
Alfred appears behind Bruce and smiles at the young bride, “Princess, you look quite marvelous in your gown.  But as the time precedes us, we mustn’t keep Richard waiting.  Don’t want him worrying, now do we?”
Starfire nods her head before turning around to grab her bouquet and pulls Raven from the room.
“Kori, slow down!”
------------------------------
It couldn’t have been a more perfect night for a rooftop wedding.  The full moon radiates high in the night sky, stark against the deep purple night.  Dick looks up, watching as a new stars appear as the moon travels through sky, going higher and higher.
Glancing across the rooftop, he takes note all the hard work he and Kori put into make this place special.  They spent hours hanging string lights across the rooftop for lighting.  It took two days making the floral lattice arch they would stand beneath when saying their vows, weaving red and yellow tulips all around it with sting lights.  The white chairs are all lined up with the chairs facing towards the aisle having small lanterns hanging from them, to light the path that Kori would be walking down.
All the guests started to come in from the cocktail hour and settle in their seats; Dick recognizes more than half of the guest as his fellow heroes. The remaining bunch were a few of Bruce’s board members that he invited to show good faith.
Where the hell is Wally?!
Dick pulls back his dark blue tux sleeve to look at the time on his Rolex.
“Nervous?”
Dick looks up to see Raven.  She looks very nice in her deep purple strapless gown, which catches Dick off guard.  He notices a hint of makeup on her cheeks and lips, and her normally straight hair is hanging in lose curls.
“You look beautiful, Raven.  How’s Kori doing?”
Raven blushes and then slightly scowls, “You’re deflecting.”
Dick leans against the side of the roof and looks down to the city below.  It was strange to think that he’d been in Gotham twice this year.  Before he was engaged, he hadn’t come back to Gotham ever since he left when he was 16.
That seems like forever ago.
“Dick?”
“Yeah?”
“It’s time.”  Dick’s heart jumps into his throat as the quartet’s music flows across the roof.  Raven give Dick’s arm a pat before she walks back off the roof to accompany Beast Boy down the aisle.
Taking a deep breath, Dick sends a small prayer up to the stars.
I know you guys are here with me today, and I hope I’m making you proud.
Dick makes his way down the aisle, watching as Alfred takes his place under the lattice to officiate the wedding.  The butler smiles at Dick once he is settled to the left of him, waiting for the rest of the wedding party make their way down the aisle.
“Ready, Richard?”
Dick gives him a bright smile, “Yeah, I am.”
Cyborg and Bumble Bee begin the wedding by walking down the aisle.  It took some thinking, but Dick knew Cyborg was his best man.  He’s been there since day one for him, helping him to guide the team from the beginning, and being the friends he needed in tough times when he knew he couldn’t go to Kori.  They have each other’s backs.
Next, came Raven and Beasty boy.  Dick is surprised Raven is letting Beast Boy touch her as they walk down the aisle.  But from the looks on their faces, they seem to be comfortable with each other.
I’ll have to ask Kori about that later…
After they made their way down the aisle, the music transitions to ‘Here comes the bride’.  The doors in the back of the roof open revealing Kori in all her glory.  Dick is certain his mind blanked for a moment.
She looks absolutely stunning.
Bruce offers his arm to Kori and she gladly takes it.
As Kori makes her way down the aisle her entire focus is on Dick.  She can see the emotion in his eyes as she takes one step closer to him.  He smiles brightly at her knowing he wants to commemorate this moment to memory and never let it go.  She watches as he wipes at his eyes, making her tear up a bit.
They’ve both come so far up until this point and it is finally happening.
As they reach the alter, Bruce steps in front of Kori to pull her vail over her head to reveal her face and places a kiss on her cheek.  He steps aside to give her hand to Dick’s, which he graciously takes before helping her up the remining steps to stand across from him under the floral lattice.
He brings her left hand up to his lips and brushes a kiss across her knuckles, “Hi.”
She couldn’t help but giggle, “Greetings.”
“Has anyone told you, you look absolutely gorgeous tonight?”
Kori pretends to think before smiling at him, “Perhaps not.  Although, I do not the minding of hearing it.”
“Ahem,” Alfred clears his voice, trying to gain the attention of the bride and groom.  “if we are done with the pleasantries, may we continue.”
Dick nods.
Alfred goes into detail of Kori and Dick’s relationship, mindful to leave out how they really met just in case any reporters paid the staff for intel on the wedding.
“Do you, Richard John Grayson take Ms. Kory Anderson to be your wife?”
Dick rubs the back of her hands as he says, “I Do.”
“And do you, Kory Anderson take Mr. Richard John Grayson to be your husband?”
Kori sniffles, feeling the tears pool in her eyes.  “I Do.”
Alfred looks to the audience, “May we please have the rings.”
Dick’s eyes widen for a moment remember the debacle from earlier.
The rings!
As Dick was about to tell Kori what happened to their rings, Wally waltzes up the steps and hands Dick the ring box with his and Kori’s rings.  He gives Dick a pat on the back and whispers, “Told ya I’d get here in time.”
Dick shakes his head at Wally as he walks back down to his seat.  He hands Kory his ring and he takes Kori’s before sliding the box into his tux pocket.
“Repeat after me, ‘With this ring, I thee wed.’”
Dick places the ring on Kori’s finger, “With this ring, I thee wed.”
“Once more, ‘With this ring, I thee wed.’”
Kori places Dick’s ring on his finger and says, “With this ring, I thee wed.”
They’re eyes meet at the same time as Alfred finishes the ceremony.
“With the power vested in my granted by the City of Gotham, I now pronounce you husband and wife.  You may kiss your bride.”
Dick reaches forward and cups Kori’s face before pulling her lips to his.  In the distance there were cheers and applause for the new married couple.  As they pull apart the cheers slowed until Alfred stepped aside for everyone to see them.
“I now present Mr. and Mrs. Grayson.”  The room erupted in applause and whistles as they made their way down the aisle and into their new lives as husband and wife.

5.
Robyn looked at him, and he certainly had the features that Dolly described to her. She couldn't keep the smile from forming on her face because he was yellow, but he was more than handsome; with pink, plump lips and dimples that added onto his pleasant appearance. Her eyes traveled down as she saw tattoos. To her, he was like a live art gallery. She couldn’t keep the smile from forming on her face because he was yellow. She brought her eyes back up gazing deeply into his chocolate brown eyes swirled with honey, all she could see was warmth, and somehow it was seeping through warming her spirit.
Chris looked back at her and thought he was doing it in his mind, but let out a low but long whistle in admiration of who he called Green Eyes. That prompted her to blush, which caused him to smile. Honestly, his drawing of her a while ago didn’t do her beauty justice—– she was just breathtaking. Those eyes especially would be the life of him because of the way those green/hazel hues sparked at him. He felt like he found treasure in her, striking it rich.
They both just looked at each other with smiles waiting to see who would take the first step. Chris decided he would make the first move since he was the one who sought her out.
He cleared his throat and went near her bedside. “Hi, Green Eyes.”
“Hi, Pooh Bear.”
“So how are we going to do this?”
She shrugged and gave him a small smile. She noticed how she couldn’t help but smile whenever she thought about him and seeing him in person was no different. “How about the obvious? Get to know each other?”
He rolled his eyes. “Smart ass.”
She giggled as he took a seat and got comfortable. “My name is Christopher Maurice Brown. I was born and raised by my Mama in Virginia. I never met my Dad because he died before I was born because he had cancer. Mama told me he loved me though and was excited to have a son, so that makes everything better but also bittersweet. I’m an artist as you probably already guessed by all the drawings I made for you. I’ve had three art exhibits, and I own my own clothing line Black Pyramid.”
Robyn was so enthralled with everything he was telling her about himself. He was just as down to earth as she perceived him to be based on his writing, which she was most curious about. “What about your writing?”
He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. “I’m not really a writer, the first letter I wrote to you was my first time doing something like that.”
She gasped “You could’ve fooled me.”
“I guess it takes the right one to awaken the poet in a person.” He winked, and she was blushing again.
“Now it’s your turn Green Eyes.”
"My name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Born and raised in Barbados, and my Gran Gran Dolly raised me. I was there for the first thirteen years of my life before movin' to the states so I could start high school. I've been livin' ere in New York eva since. My Mummy died afta givin' birth to me so I neva met her and I have no information on my Daddy. My family has a history of cancer though so I assume he died and it was because of dat. I also own a clothing line, River Island and I'm expandin' my brand by doin' makeup, fragrances, and lingerie."
“You’re definitely gonna be running the world and have it lay at your feet.”
“Aww, tanks Pooh and you certainly already ave the world in the palm of your hands.”
“Now I just need a queen to share the world with.”
“Oh? You ave any candidates in mind?”
“Just one.”
She smiled. “You laying it on pretty thick Pooh.”
Chris couldn’t help himself there was just something about her that made him feel comfortable speaking what he wanted into existence. He wouldn’t rush into things but what harm could harmless flirting cause? Especially if his sentiments were true to his desires. He had been looking for someone to love for so long and now more than ever he craved that, and he had a feeling she was the one who would be the one to receive it. He was so family-oriented that it would be strange if he never had a family of his own. He wanted a wife. He wanted children. But he wouldn’t overwhelm her with his wants and needs now because he wanted their relationship to be a gradual push in that direction.
But in his mind, it wouldn’t hurt to know what she saw her future being. He wouldn’t impose what he wanted on her, but he definitely wanted to know what she thought about marriage and children and whether she even wanted that.
Robyn felt she should’ve been scared by how forward he was being, in fact, she wanted to be scared. Instead, she found solace in what he was saying. Her Gran Gran didn’t and wouldn’t tell her the extent of her visions, but if Chris was the one God saved for her, she felt she would endure a lifetime of happiness, even though in her mind that was unrealistic.
They were staring at each other again, and Chris desperately wanted to change the setting. Take her out so they could have a night of fun. “Robyn, would you like to go out on a date?”
“I would love to, but how are we going to leave? What are we going to wear? We can’t leave in these hospital gowns, and I’m pretty sure the staff won’t let us go anywhere.”
He chuckled at all her questions. “Let me worry about the clothing, and we’re going to sneak out, duh.”
“Ooooo you’re bad.”
He winked. “You’ll find out soon enough how bad I can be.”
-
Chris took Robyn to a pizzeria since she mentioned she’d been craving pizza for a while now. They were seated outside of it enjoying the night air and the cool breeze passing through. The atmosphere was calm, and they both were glad to be in each other’s company.
“What do you want to order Robyn?”
“Uhhh a love combo with a large friendship and some good lovin’ on the side.” Robyn smiled and laughed, and Chris felt his heart swell at her goofiness. Since hearing it, her laugh had become his favorite sound, and he would do anything to keep her laughing and smiling however long he was permitted to do so. He took her hands in his. “I think I’ve met my match.”
“To be or not to be? That is the question.”
Chris shook his head lightly. “No, to bae or not to bae? That is the question.”
They both laughed. “So you want to be my new bae?”
“I want to be more than that,” he paused smiling at her facial expression. “I want to propose–––”
“WAIT.”
“A toast.”
She sucked her teeth and balled a napkin to throw at him while he was laughing.
“You’re not funny Christopher. I know you did that on purpose.”
He blew a kiss at her and she rolled her eyes.
-
Time flew by, and Chris was able to convince Robyn to stay out later with him for late night star gazing. They were on the roof of the hospital and Robyn’s head was on his shoulder, they were holding hands, and occasionally kisses were placed everywhere from the cheek, to the neck, to the forehead except one place: the lips.
“Chris, what’s your biggest fear?”
“Loving the wrong person. Giving them my heart only for them to be unsure of what to do with it, leaving it shattered. That was my fear for a while, which is why I kept my relations with women strictly platonic or sexual. None of them gave me the feeling I felt I needed to feel that would scream love. I just ended up feeling empty to the point I stopped engaging in those acts and kept everything business related.”
“So what makes you want to get to know me on a personal level?”
“It’s the way you carry yourself. I can’t explain it but there’s something about you, something I feel when I’m with you. It makes me feel good. All I know is my heart told me to run in your direction, I feel like the heart is the guide to life, so I listened and I ran,” He turned his head smiling at her. “I’m glad I listened.”
She smiled at him before returning her gaze to the night sky. “I feel the same way.”
Robyn could relate with everything he said because his biggest fear was her biggest nightmare. She went through it, was still going through it, and he would be the one to pick up the remaining pieces of her heart that were scattered. Even so, a new season was blooming, Autumn was approaching, and she could feel it in the air. She hoped that this would be the season she would let go of the past and be the doorway for Chris to come in and awaken parts in her she believed would remain dead. In turn, she hoped she could awaken parts in him and plant seeds of love in his heart. Bring peace to his life.
"Doesn't it scare you though?"
"Doesn't what scare me?"
"Love," she paused contemplating what she wanted to say. How she was going to explain what terrified her about the emotion. "It's unpredictable, which is what makes it frightening. The whole trust aspect that goes along with it, vulnerability, distance it's all scary. Having to relinquish parts of yourself slowly to someone hoping they don't destroy you before you give them all of you. Not wanting to get too close because it's overwhelming, but not wanting to keep yourself too far because it leads to abandonment. Love is the most violent act. Doesn't it scare you?"
"Love helps us grow as individuals. It's beautiful how the littlest and simplest things cause reactions to spur in us because of a person," He turned his face to look at her, his eyes shining as bright as the stars. Moonlight cast over his face, he looked so dreamy, and Robyn was undergoing exactly what he was describing to her. "Love isn't violent, people make it that way." He reached for her hand and brought it to his lips to kiss. "I don't want you to be scared of this. I'll do what I can to make you physically feel love all over, make it be so raw, that you can't turn away. I’m not scared because I trust you."
Robyn just looked at him, blinking slowly. “You trust me?”
"You haven't given me a reason not to. It's fine if you don't trust me right now, but I guarantee you will. I don't want to do anything but make you happy. However it is I'm supposed to do that," he placed a soft kiss dangerously near her lips. "So are you interested?"
Robyn shook her head lightly. "I'm not interested in you," Chris immediately felt a pang and before his mood could dive further, Robyn caressed his cheek and smiled. "Interest breeds convenience, and you're not convenient to me. I'm committed. I'm a little hesitant, but I'm going to make an effort to love hard because I know what it's like to be loved so little."
Chris breathed a sigh of relief. "You're so dramatic for no reason. Almost gave me a heart attack best friend."
Robyn cheesed. "That was by design. Do you think I forgot what you did at dinner? Could've easily said toast instead of propose. Annoying ass."
"Yeah, but you knew I did it to annoy you because it's fun. This is a deep conversation we're having. Therefore, there is no justification for your actions. In other words, you didn't have to do that bird ass nigga."
She squinted. "Don't get cut, ok?"
"What you gonna do? Get your squad? Isn't it hard for birds to leave the nest?"
Robyn stifled her laughter before they laughed together. His playful nature was so contagious, and she loved his sense of humor. This is what she wanted. To laugh, to have fun times, and have somebody to share those moments with. The initial lovey-doveyness at the beginning of a relationship. It was the best moments she yearned to have, and it was obvious he had what she'd been searching for.
"I can't stand you, Pooh."
"You can sit on me."
"You would love that."
"Hell yeah, you got some nice assets."
"That you can't handle."
"Pfft are you kidding me? I'll homicide your shit then wrap you up in yellow tape after."
Robyn looked at him with wide eyes while Chris smirked. "Yeah, I said it."
"Pssshhh as skinny as yuh are? Yuh ain't gona do no damage. I ain't scared of yuh. Body shape like exclamation point."
Chris bit his lip to keep from laughing before retorting. "Hmm, fitting. I'll be sure to make it a point to leave my mark when I fuck you with emphasis."
She sighed. "That was lame, you’re lame. Why do I talk to you?"
"Because you're my best friend and I'm yours, and you love my amazing flirt to roast ratio."
Robyn just smiled. Silence often fell upon them after their lengthy conversations, whatever the topic was, and it was those comfortable silences people talked about. She now understood why it was romanticized so much credit to the person she found herself adoring. Her Gran Gran always told her when it came to love, the timing was important, and right now she couldn't agree more. It might've been a short time, a brief physical encounter, but with all the words they expressed to each other it was clear this was destined to be. Some people are meant to be known, meant to be present whether it be for a season or long term. Bonded inexplicably beyond comprehension surpassing coincidences, occurring due to fate. Fate definitely was on their side.
In the evening there certainly was feeling. Something about night casting a city that brings peace and silence; causing the senses to heighten. Nighttime embodied purity; romantic thoughts, dreaming, late night car rides, and sensualities. Everything was felt more at night––– love especially. It was hovering over them, outlining their silhouettes causing infinite sensations. It was seeping through their pores and rising into the atmosphere––– an invisible thread connecting them together. The attraction between them apparent and genuine. It was love, and it was setting the mood for them, deepening their emotions.
“Robyn where do you see yourself in 5 years?”
She swallowed the lump that formed in her throat, and her demeanor changed. Had they met under different circumstances then she would’ve been able to answer that with ease. But knowing what she knows she wasn’t sure she’d be alive in 5 years, much less one.
“Hey, did I say something wrong? Your aura just changed.”
“No, I’m fine. Well, originally I wanted to be married with children and the most I wanted was four. I don’t think that will be possible now though.”
“Why not?”
They were now facing each other, and that glow he saw in her eyes the majority of the day replaced with a sad tint. “I have cancer, Chris. Mesothelioma.”
“So do I.”
She frowned. “How did we get so unlucky?”
“Maybe it’s fate we met each other under these conditions. But, that doesn’t mean you’re incapable of having that dream because of a diagnosis. Trust me at one point, I was upset, and sometimes I am, but then I realize there’s a bigger picture. I’m not going to allow myself to think negatively about my illness especially when there’s a higher chance at this stage that I can escape cancer free. It’s how you see things Baby Girl.”
She blushed at the term of endearment and went to tuck her head in the crook of his neck as he held her close. “I don’t know Chris.”
“You got me now you’re not alone.”
She wanted to believe that so desperately but with the status of their health still lingering in the air it was hard to be positive.

Part Fifteen in my Hold On Me Series. You can read the rest on my Master List
Summary: Celebrating Pete’s title win and putting more than yourselves, to bed.
Tag Squad: You guys know the drill by now I think. lol I’m trying SO hard to figure out why my Tag List isn’t working.
I stood outside the men’s locker room a few minutes later, waiting on Pete to change out.
The roar of the crowd as Finn made his entrance was deafening.
“He did good.”
I jolted my head around to see Sami walking down the hallway toward me.
“Pete did good,” he repeated as he reached me “He’s really got something special in that ring.”
I had hardly ever spoken more than two words to Sami but admiration from Zayn was pretty high praise.
“Yeah, he,” I tucked my hair behind my ear shyly “He’s really good at what he does.”
“Tell him not to forget, I’m coming for that title,” Sami smirked before walking passed me and out of sight.
Just then, the door jolted open and I jumped as Pete pushed his way through.
“You all right, love?” he chuckled, his hand immediately going to my arm.
“Yeah,” I nodded “I’m fine.”
“You sure?” he slowly backed me toward the wall so I couldn’t skip out on the truth.
His hand forced my chin up, our eyes locking.
“Yeah, I just…I don’t want to go home Tuesday,” I laughed nervously, feeling like a lovesick teenager.
He nodded. His jaw clenched tightly and he exhaled slowly.
“We have ta make the most of tha time we have, then,” his voice grew deep “Agreed?”
I nodded and he pressed his lips roughly against my forehead, letting out a discontented breath. He felt it too. The sickening feeling in the pit of our stomachs that even though we still had over twenty four hours together, it would never be enough.
“How ‘bout we ditch the rest of tha show, hm?” he wrapped his strong arm around my bare shoulders, guiding me down the hall.
“And do what?” I smirked over at him.
“How ‘bout I take ya for that meal I owe ya?”
“Oh, you mean a date?” I giggled, as he adjusted the belt that was thrown proudly over his other shoulder.
He nodded, opening the arena door and following me out into the parking lot.
“Thank you,” I smiled up at the waiter as he refilled my glass of water.
“Should I get wine or somethin’?” Pete’s brow furrowed, as he flipped through the wine list he found on the table.
“No,” I laughed “Water is fine.”
“It’s our first propa’ dinna’ date,” he looked up at me “Isn’t there somethin’ I should…”
“And on our dinner date, water is fine,” I smiled softly at him.
He nodded, laying the menu to the side and shifting nervously in his seat.
He had let me pick out the restaurant. It was nice, but nothing upscale. Still, he seemed incredibly uncomfortable. He was used to dives and bars and pubs back home. Nothing as traditionally ‘date worthy’ as the restaurant.
“If you want to go somewhere else, it’s fine,” I assured him.
He shook his head and started drinking his water down like he had been in the desert for days.
“Stop being so nervous,” I whispered “This is just us, right? You and me.”
“It’s all different now,” he shook his head “I gotta be betta. I gotta do betta by ya this time.”
“Are you afraid I’m going to leave you?” I scrunched up my nose “Pete….”
“I’m tired of bein’ ya fuck up,” he sighed, running a hand through his ever growing hair.
“What I want,” I reached across the table and danced my fingers across his hand “Is for you to be the Pete I fell in love with. I don’t need you to be something you’re not…What happened…It’s over now. We have to let it go…I’ve finally let it go.”
“Have ya?” he met my eyes, his teeth chewing furiously on his bottom lip “Cause I think about it every day….The way I hurt ya…Tha look on ya face…How I had everythin’ I eva wanted….”
I rested my hand over his and sighed.
“That I eva needed…” he continued to stare into me “…Tha only one in my life that I eva gave a flyin’ fuck about…And I couldn’t even hold on ta ya….I couldn’t tell you how much you meant ta me….Jesus, I almost lost you the first time cause I couldn’t get tha words outta my mouth.”
“I’m here,” I shook my head “I forgive you and you forgive me, right?”
“There’s nothin’ for me ta forgive ya for,” he shrugged.
“Yes there is,” I nodded “I’ve had a lot of time to think too and as much as it hurt, seeing you like that….I treated you bad, too….Pete, I should never have been so jealous in the first place. We would have never got in that fight and…”
“We got in tha fight cause I can’t stand anotha man near ya,” he ran his free hand over his face “And I gotta learn ta keep ma bloody mouth shut….When ya have somethin’ ya neva had before, somethin’ that’s yours, really yours…Ya just wanna protect it.”
“You’ve been protecting me from the beginning,” I laughed softly.
“Yeah,” he grinned, running his hand under his chin “I guess I always knew I wanted ya….That you were meant ta be mine.”
“Me too,” I whispered hoarsely, linking my fingers through his.
“Tha otha night,” he cleared his throat “I neva dreamed you would let me touch ya. That we’d be sittin’ ‘ere right now. I thought ya didn’t want ta see me cause you changed ya mind.”
“Well,” I sighed “I guess I decided I could be unhappy and bitter or I could forgive you and try again…I’m glad I forgave you…I’m glad you came to see me when I didn’t have the guts to tell you to your face.”
I smiled, my mind drifting to our make up sex. He was clearly thinking about it too by the look in his eyes.
“I couldn’t leave without seein’ you,” his face grew incredibly serious “I could have neva left without findin’ out how you felt.”
“And now you know,” I leaned forward against the table “You know that I never stopped loving you.”
“So are ya sayin’, the vice president might let me take her to ma room tonight?” he growled, his hand gripping mine tight.
“I think if you ask nicely, the vice president might do more than that,” I dropped my eyes to the table, my curls falling in them.
I looked back up to gauge his response. He was clearly getting turned on already.
“Nicely?” he smirked.
“Mhm,” I bit on my lip “Think you could do that? For me?”
“Be careful what ya say, love,” his eyes were blazing now “Last time was gentle…This time…”
He flipped my hand over, his fingers digging ferociously into my palm.
“Is that a promise, champ?” I raised an excited eyebrow at him.
He dug them deeper and I couldn’t help the little moan that came out.
“Are you hungry?” I shifted in my seat, crossing my legs to try to block out the longing between them.
“For this fancy shit? Not one bit,” he replied, finishing his water.
“How about dinner tomorrow night?” I reached for my purse.
“Or breakfast,” he stood and waited on me to join him “In tha mornin’, when I got ya all wrapped up in our bed…Exhausted…Famished….”
“Is that so?” I pushed my body closer to his own.
“I guarantee it, love” he groaned “Cause I’ve missed you too much…And I know how ta make sure I don’t lose this eva again.”
I smiled, grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the exit.
We walked down the hall toward Pete’s room, with his hand riding up and down the curve of my ass in my tight jumper.
“Pete,” I groaned at him for teasing me.
“What’s wrong, love?” he batted his tongue against my ear “Can’t wait anotha moment?”
Feeling brave, and incredibly deprived, I turned on him and pushed him against the wall. He grunted, as my hand immediately gripped his already hard dick as it strained against his pants. Pete shifted his body weight around, as if he were under my complete control.
“What are ya gonna do, huh?” he ran his tongue along his bottom lip.
“Hm,” I laughed, squeezing him in my hand.
His whole body jolted and he closed his eyes.
“I need you, now,” I whispered against his ear.
“Don’t ya eva stop needin’ me,” he groaned, as my lips trailed down his neck.
“I won’t,” I looked up at him, giving him my sweetest smile teasingly.
I released him and started walking down the hall again. I didn’t get far before he grabbed my arm and swung me around. I crashed against his chest and then my back slammed into the wall.
“Do you know what else I want?” he growled, his hands pushing the low cut of my jumper down off my shoulders slowly "What I want is ta give ya tha best fuckin’ ya eva had in ya life.“
“I thought you already had. Many…Many times,” I whispered, my hand sliding down his face and hooking my thumb along the center of his bottom lip.
“Oh no, ya have no idea what we’re capable of togetha,” his hand wrapped around my wrist and he pressed his lips to my palm.
“Show me,” I gasped, as he sucked my fingers into his mouth and slowly pulled them out.
He nodded, his eyes narrowing seductively as he finally pulled me by the hand a few more doors down and let us into his room.
“You knew all along, didn’t ya?” he started to loosen the stuffy tie he had been wearing.
“Knew what?”
“That I was gonna win that title,” he tossed the garment to the floor.
He began rolling up the sleeves of his dress shirt, concentrating so hard his hair fell into his eyes.
“I might have,” I admitted guiltily “But I was sworn to secrecy. Vice president rules.”
“Well then,” he finished with his sleeves and tossed his hair out of his eyes absently “Come ‘ere.”
He sat down on the bed and patted his lap.
“What?” I laughed in confusion.
“Tha way I see it. Ya need ta be punished,” he looked up at me.
I walked slowly toward him and pushed the jumper even further down my shoulders, then ran my hands along my body.
I reached him and he stared up at me hungrily. The stare I had missed; the feelings coursing through me I had missed for so long.
“Zipper is right here,” I turned my back to him and stood still as his strong fingers slid it down.
His open mouth nibbled at the dip in my lower back and I felt his teeth sink into me. I hissed between my lips and he bit even harder.
Pete finally moved on, finishing with the zipper and pushing it off my back completely.
Once I stepped out of it, I turned to face him. I had made sure to wear some extra sexy underwear for the night. Black completely see through lace bra and thong.
Pete took note, drinking it all in with his eyes. His hand slid down my side and to the curve of my hip, tugging softly on the strap to my underwear.
“It’s amazin’,” he marveled “How I rememba’ every inch of ya body.”
“Do you?” I swayed in front of him “I could say the same.”
“Bend ova,” he spoke and patted his lap “Right 'ere.”
I made sure that my descent to his lap was slow and that my whole body grazed across him. Once I was in place, I brushed my hair over one shoulder.
“Like that?” I whispered.
His hand flew down on my ass loudly and I yelped from surprise.
“Just like that,” he smiled, taking my face between his thumb and pointer finger.
“Harder,” I looked up into his eyes.
He quickly drew my mouth to his. Pete’s tongue plunged against mine for just a few seconds before he pulled away and spanked me again.
I moaned as I stared over my shoulder at him and he looked at me with every smack he made.
“I didn’t know you would be so mad,” I giggled.
He reached for me again and that time I swung up and straddled him. He took my face in between his fingers again and I jerked my head, drawing his thumb into my mouth. I bit down on it, hard, and he groaned in agony. His whole body was electric next to mine.
I wrapped my legs tighter around his waist and I started to slowly rub my body against him.
“I’m not mad enough ta let ma baby go without,” he growled from deep in his chest.
He ran that same bitten thumb down his tongue and then slid his hand between us. His thumb sliding inside the thin fabric of my panties and meeting my clit.
I drew my mouth to the side of his neck, sucking my own mark on his skin just below his ear. I traced up to flick at the gauge there with my tongue.
Pete’s pace with his thumb quickened and I gasped, when I felt him slide his fingers inside me. He chuckled when I bit down sharply on his gauged earlobe.
“You like that, don’t you?” I panted against it when I drew my mouth off him.
He started to move his fingers faster and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I ground my body down on top of his hand, over and over.
My breathing was becoming labored as I felt myself climbing for the first time.
“If I can’t make ya cum, what kinda man would I be for ya?” he grinned, as he watched my face contort.
“Pete,” I whined, lacing my fingers through his hair and tugging on it.
“Fuck,” he shook his head as he watched me, his arm jerking vigorously between us.
“Don’t,” I whimpered, jerking his head up by his hair.
“I’m not stoppin’,” he growled before his mouth connected with the base of my throat.
I rode my orgasm out as he bit and sucked all over my skin. It only made everything more intense, knowing I would have those familiar marks again.
“I want ya naked,” I heard him order me.
I raised my eyes to his and he slowly slid me off his lap.
I turned around, in an attempt to do some sort of sexy strip tease but his hand jerked me back.
“I wanna see ya, that teasin’ is ova.”
He looked so determined. So fucking sexy that I couldn’t argue. Didn’t want to.
I slid each strap of my bra down slowly, then reached around to unhook it.
He sucked his own lip as he watched it fall off my body.
I toyed with the straps to my thong playfully before dropping it to my feet.
I reached for his hand and pulled him to his feet. I unlooped each button to his shirt carefully. His chest practically heaving under my hands. His fingers slid up into my hair and pulled on it gently, moving it from my face.
When I finished, he slid it off. My finger immediately went to “my” scar. The permanent mark I had left on him all those months ago.
“It’s still there,” his hand covered mine.
“And I’m the only one who touches it,” I smirked before digging my nail into it.
He grimaced but then he picked me up. A growl escaped his throat before his lips savagely took mine. He held me upright while we kissed, my hands gripping his face.
Finally, I felt him drop me onto the bed.
Sitting up on my elbows, I watched him unbutton his pants and discard everything to the floor.
I crooked my finger at him and he shook his head. Instead, he crooked his finger at me and I followed. Crawling across the bed made me level with his dick and when I reached him, he was ready.
“Open for me, huh?” he murmured, his damn hair hanging low in his eyes again.
I opened my lips and he guided himself into my mouth. He groaned as loud as I did when he hit the back of my throat.
“Fuck,” he spat, his hips starting to thrust against me.
His face. His beautiful fucking face. I stared up at him the entire time and watched it change. Each tingle of pleasure, each flicker of some sort of emotion, everything was captivating to me.
“Shit,” he finally pulled out, gasping for air “Sit up.”
I jumped up to my knees and his thumbs dug into my face as he kissed me. I could feel his heart flying in his chest.
“I need to fuck ya, right now,” he ran his tongue along the side of my neck and gripped my throat at it’s base.
“Fucking finally,” I moaned, as he pushed me back on the bed so hard I bounced on the mattress.
He crawled up, his eyes consuming, and rolled me on top of him. He feverishly gripped my hips and eased me down on him. The feeling of him actually hurt.
We had made love three weeks ago but he was so turned on right now, that it literally hurt.
“Pete,” I whimpered, as the feeling started to subside.
“Look at me,” he raised his voice a little “I hafta’ see ya face.”
I locked eyes with him and as I rode him the look of sheer shock and awe was evident. He was truly still surprised that he had me. Maybe that was why he was controlling everything? I didn’t care. Pete was almost always the one in control anyway. If I could keep this look on his face forever…I’d be doing my job.
He dug his fingers harder into my hips and I squealed from excitement.
When a giggle of happiness escaped my lips a minute later, a smile curved on his face briefly.
I leaned forward, my hands resting on his chest and I began winding on top of him. He tilted his head back and continued to pant for air.
“Pete,” I gasped, sensations starting to hit me.
He started bouncing me on top of him, as hard as he could. Which, was very, very hard.
“Shit,” I squealed from the sudden change.
His hips came off the bed, pounding up into me. There was literal sweat rolling down his temples.
I squeezed my eyes shut as one of the most intense orgasms of my life started to encompass me.
“Fuck, just like that,” he growled, pounding even harder.
His mouth came up to bite into the flesh of my arm just as I felt him release and the last of my orgasm came to a still.
“That was just round one, right?” I giggled, as he sat up to wrap his arms around me on his lap.
“We got a lotta time to catch up for,” he murmured against my chest “I told you, you’ll be famished by morning.”
I shifted in bed the next morning and jolted awake, when I didn’t feel Pete next to me.
“You all right, love?”
When I sat up, I saw him. He was standing at the end of the bed with a breakfast cart.
“Sorry to wake ya but I did promise you breakfast,” he pushed it closer to me.
I pulled him down on the bed beside me and wrapped my arms around him as tight as I could.
“What’s wrong?” he shook his head, petting my hair.
“Nothing,” I sighed, burrowing closer into the side of his neck “I just thought you were gone.”
“Shh,” he pulled back to look in my eyes “We’re gonna do it right this time, huh?”
I smiled and he kissed my forehead before standing back to his feet.
“You are famished, are you not?” he smirked at me, reaching for the first plate on the tray.
I nodded drawing my knees to my chest, as I sat naked under the covers.
I would have to leave in less than twelve hours. How was I going to be able to do it?
