Do any of your characters from second best have other ongoing stresses or fun things they are looking forward to or issues going in their lives outside the plot 😂

hmmmmm

just by the way it's written, Alex has a lot going on outside the plot because he's not very in the plot lol. his main stresses are climbing the ladder and proving himself to all of the old men in his office lol. he also has a decent amount of debt from school loans that he's dealing with. as single-minded as he is with work, he really doesn't have much going on outside of it though. besides.... john. and all of his drama.

John is also dealing with work related stress. par for the course, if you have a job it will stress you out lmao. he also has a lot of insecurity about whether he got his job on his own merits since most people in the area know his dad. as referenced at some point in the story, John's way of dealing with being stressed is to focus in on the "things that matter" rather than taking on things that are just for fun (ie when he told Martha to just quit cheerleading if she was so stressed out) so he also doesn't have much going on outside of work and the family drama.

Henry has plenty going on as you can imagine lol. he has work, but he also has a large amount of friends and connections in the area, so if he's not doing something related to his congressman business (which does take up a lot of time with parties and meetings and engagements he has to attend outside of normal work stuff), he's typically off spending time with his buddies, golfing or at the club or whatever else rich people do. he has like a million stressors as well though lol. raising all of his kids alone and the constantly busy atmosphere of national politics is admittedly a tricky combo.

Patty goes to weekly spin classes and has a decently close friend group from college that she still hangs out with :) healthiest emotional lifestyle out of all of them for sure lmao. she's been renovating one of the guest bedrooms into a nursery too :)

plot revolves around Martha so we see most of her shit lol. it's mentioned a lot, but we don't really see the cheerleading part of her life. both a stress and a good thing. the coach doing weigh ins and shit and expecting perfection from them weighs pretty heavily on her considering how much of a perfectionist she already is. she sees those goals that they're given and feels like a failure if she can't meet them. but she also does really enjoy cheerleading and enjoys the girls on the team. they have some big competitions coming up in the spring semester that she's excited for.

It has been a while since I liveblogged. I want to finish watching castle before summer is over.

JE: What kind of questions? RC: Something about Valkyrie, how much the feds knew, and then I thought he was going to pass out, because he was talking about going off to dream world. (JE freezes & looks off with his eyes) But he didn’t pass out. He dropped dead. JE: Uh … this guy? Was he, uh, was he military?

RC: Why? Is Valkyrie a military term? JE: I don’t know about Valkyrie, but Dream World? It’s a highly classified special operations base in the Gulf. It’s a ghost base. The government’s never confirmed its existence, but I – I met a guy who knew a guy who was stationed there. (everyone knows someone who knows someone) RC: (intrigued) Where is it? JE: It’s – it’s a ghost base, Castle. You think it’s going to say where it is? KR and RC share a look, then look to JE. They both shake their head. JE: No. But I will tell you this, if Beckett’s case has anything to do with this base, well, then she’s into something way bigger than she realizes. (won't clip, not even the double shale heads of rystle)

Oh no they lost her, beckett's instincts screwed them up. Or not nvm. If you've never seen it then why were you running away with evasion tactics? Is this the same interrogation room as the precinct & they just dolled it up differently?
