Nate, unsurprisingly, corrects you in the next breath. Not only is his image of being engaged to Eva in jeopardy with that statement but it makes your 'relationship' waaaaay too serious for him. He does it harshly too and if you take offence there will be an argument and shouting match subsequently.

They'll very obviously over exaggerate the connection between the two of you, spinning a tall tale about your star crossed romance and how you gave up a life of money and stability just for them and their love. Will not let you live it down. If you actually get married they'll bring it up in their vows or the speeches.

Ji Han goes with it for your sake. He doesn't want to embarrass you if he doesn't have to. He introduces himself afterwards with a subtle nod to his new title and takes charge of the conversation to steer it elsewhere as soon as possible. Will use it against you when you least expect it. Whispers his new title in your ear during sex to catch you off guard during a climax kind of tease.

Fauve's eyes will go wide and she'll turn to stare at you in shock. She's actually speechless for once. NATE──is picky and also very narcissistic, he has to pick first and he always gets the dog (a yorkshire terrier!) because it's "objectively the best one" no one really objects because they don't want to deal with his whining.

EVA──she always gets the lantern. when she's not at the table to claim it first, it's gets set aside for her. unlike with Nate, everyone else lets her have it because she simply asks nicely. Eva just thinks it's pretty─she calls it her good luck charm! (she has a nice winning streak!)

MICA──does not care for their token at all, and is usually the last to gain it, often getting the one no one went for or wanted... which mostly ends up being the iron... Mica thinks it's rad though so they don't mind!

DETECTIVE HAN──doesn't really play board games and is subsequently a bit slow to the battle royale of the token picking... they end up with the shoe because it's only of the only two left and they'd rather not pick the iron...

JOSÉ──they're not going down without a fight! they are pretty competitive, especially when it comes to board or card games─curtesy of their many siblings─and they will bargain for the token of their choosing... which is the the thimble... but they usually lose out to Ji Han, in which they fight Fauve for the boat!

JI HAN──he wins the thimble from José but he only goes for the thimble if the the plane is gone and considering its the one token lost to the void, well...

FAUVE──she watches José and Ji Han fight it out for the thimble with glee and then when José sets their sights on her and the boat its quickly wiped away... she knows when to take her losses and resigns the boat to them after she can feel a ten minute debate forming, leaving her with the car!

JACKSON──used to picking last when playing board games, though most times Cilly just gives him a token she seems fit... he'd end up with the hat (a top hat!) because even though he doesn't particularly care, he's still quicker than Mica or Detective Han to scoop up one of his favourites!

???──they like most of the tokens and are usually the first to pick, in actuality, they're the one who set aside the lantern for Eva and make the dog easy to see for Nate to claim 'first' after which they swoop in and collect the rocking horse! much like Eva, the token is a bit of a good luck charm for them─the only time they've ever gone bankrupt was when they were playing with the boat instead!

Nate says he likes monopoly but he is quick to change his mind as soon as he loses his money... honestly, if he didn't fixate on the money side of things and strategise like i know he can he'd probably give Eva, ??? and Ji Han a run for their money! (sore sore loser, losing loser baby, sore loser baby)

Like most things outside of her personal life, Eva stays winning. She loves strategy games and she's very good at interpersonal tactics (and she doesn't get greedy or blind sided by fake money.) She's on a winning streak... but there are a couple that give her a run for her money! (somehow she always manages to get one or both dark blue's on her first circle of the board...)

The ever unbothered Mica could honestly care less about monopoly──that is to say that they get surprisingly intense around two thirds in! Something about monopoly specifically ignites the competitive fire under them. They're strangely protective of the train stations and the utilities. They always somehow end up going bankrupt though, and sell out to Eva or Ji Han (or ???) depending on who can give them the most appealing sales pitch... Mica just likes hearing what they'll come up with!

Detective Han is a baby at playing board games... that aren't chess or checkers that is. The first time they play they're too caught up in the rules to realise all the spaces are slowly being taken up. The next time they buy every space they land on and were the first to go bankrupt so quickly in a while! They're a bit of a rules lawyer but have since mellowed out to enjoying the game without getting worked up about losing.

José is competitive and they love a classic board game. Playing with their siblings, they're known to be one of the winners more often than not... playing with the other ROs? That's a whole different ball park─a whole different weight category! Especially with brilliant players like Eva, Ji Han and ??? (when they're in the mood to win)! José can admit when they're out of their depth but that doesn't mean they aren't going to go down without a fight. They're the most... involved player, often propositioning places or money with literally anyone if they can see it coming out advantageous for them. (Not many of their propositions are accepted, though some are for the sheer audacity and the entertainment value they bring!)

As opposed to his older sibling, Ji Han is actully quite well versed in the ways of the game... Given that he's only played it while half drunk in university halls at 3 in the morning while they wait out for a 5am lecture... playing it with the rest of the ROs is only a little different. (that and he plays with a clear mind and thus remembers the rules and can get into the manipulation tactics!) He's won almost as many times as Eva has, and it's usually the two of them as the final two! He's a gracious loser, even if he's a bit of a show off winner (that's mainly spurned on by Eva's taunting and the final overcoming of her as an opponent.)

Fauve has a competitive streak in her, but it's mainly for bragging rights. She actively tries hard to beat at the very least José and then sets her sights on Ji Han. (The sexual tension between them when she does is quite, palpable... if the teasing barbs and lingering looks are anything to go by) She has yet to win over Eva though and is hedging her bets on a team up with The Trio as a means to an end. (She loves the bragging rights... is winning bragging rights over Eva in monopoly of all things super important? Yes. She already reigns supreme in Uno, this is the next step in her bragging rights empire!! She's up for the challenge!)

Jackson is an easygoing run of the mill average player. He's used to going easy at these kinds of games since most of his experience playing them is with his daughter and her friends... That being said, Jackson is an excellent banker! He's very strict about the money, especially after they found out that Nate was sneaking money when he would designate himself as banker! He bankrupts quite early, but his heart nor his pride is hurt by it, he takes losing like a winner!

Secret mastermind, ???. They're actively the best at playing the game however, they don't have the competitive flare or heart to actively secure more than third place. However, when ??? is in a competitive mood, or a mischievous mood (or just wanting to impress a certain MC or Eva) then all the cards are down and all the bets are off!

Eva and ??? are unstoppable when they're both playing together and playing to win! Not that a team up trio of Ji Han, Fauve and José won't give them a run for their money. Nate refuses to team up with any of them, not like they're dropping everything to offer. Mica is a lone island of overconfidence and chilled cockyness... (I can't stress enough how much of a dick he is so to be nice I'll give you guys a twofer on this one!) Current!Nate would fucking laugh. He might even agree. He'd say something like "you're good for something, at least" and then not talk to you for a week just. He can't have that kind of negativity ruining his vibes, man. Past!Nate is a different story because past!Nate is a teenage boy/young adult who's battling his own self-worth demons. He'd take you by the hands of hug you tight and tell you all the words he wants to hear himself. It might be a little selfish of him but if he can reassure you than maybe you'd be able to reassure him.

This is a sentiment Eva has had to deal with a lot, and even though she's grown to a place of confidence in herself, it's still something she struggles with sometimes. She's very empathetic and while she doesn't exactly encourage you to talk about it she does pull you into her arms to comfort you. If you seem particularly down trodden, she'll whisper some of her own insecurities she's faced, to let you know your not alone in your feelings.

Mica's knee jerk reaction is to remind you that they're your best friend for a reason─or rather you're their best friend for a reason─and might even insult you playfully. The second they realise you're being serious they also get serious, they'll being up memories the two of you share as examples of why you mean so much to them and will learn in to comfort you in a tight embrace as if anchoring them to your side──like a reminder that they're there and always will be.

Detective Han's response is surprisingly emotional. "Because I do." It's so short but it's a phrase bursting with emotions. They're saying that knowing you, liking you, is something they acknowledge and they like. "Because you're you." It's so sweet even though it sounds so matter of fact──like the thought of not liking you hadn't even occurred to them.

Our sunshine José, well their heart just breaks when they hear you feel like that. They know they're a little fast in the emotions part of a relationship so they instantly think your 'thoughts' had arisen because of a lack of communication so they ask to talk through it. They get more serious when you tell them that it's more of a self-esteem issue than a communication issue──they tell you that feeling your emotions is never wrong and that you're allowed to feel the bad ones too but they want you to know that you don't have to only feel the negative ones. They list all the reasons they have for wanting to be in your presence (not just as your partner) and ask you to try and talk to them every time you start feeling like you're unworthy of them and they'll gladly remind you again and again, over and over──even after you don't feel that way anymore.

With Ji Han it's a little different. He's surprisingly quiet for a while. He takes your hand and starts drawing patterns on your skin. It might be a little unnerving──since he always seems to have the answers to everything──but somehow it's just comforting. After a time of just being in each other's spaces he whispers small words of affection and affirmation. It kind of strikes him that you feel that way. He's so quiet because he's processing what he could've done to make you feel that way──before coming to the realisation that sometimes people just feel that way. Ji Han would encourage you to talk through what you're feeling with him, to work through it together. He wants to help but he doesn't want to smother you...

So Fauve doesn't really do the deep emotional talks very much, she doesn't like talking about self esteem because then she'll have to come to terms with her own self esteem issues and how she feels disconnected to her body (because she uses it as a tool rather than an extension of her being) and she... can't do that yet. She'll try to brush you off with short reassurances, she'll smother you in kisses if you'll let her but don't expect deep conversations about insecurities and emotions till you're VERY deep in your relationship.

Jackson has been closed off emotionally for a long time before you met or even got together. He knows wha it feels to think you're not worthy of the relationship you're in. lmao that made me giggle! Did you know that ring pops were made in 1979 and therefore the ROs would have absolutely no idea what they are... they're also very American, I don't think they are even sold in England at the moment (I had to Google it bc I was unsure lmao)

Nate would just straight up leave you. Physically. As soon as he gets an inkling of you down on one knee he's turning around and walking away. He's all for a spectacle, especially when he's at the centre of one, but not when it's about proposals or marriage. Nate didn't even propose to Eva properly... smh. When you're alone he might badger you for that ring pop, for his troubles. 😒

Eva will laugh and take it in good faith! She finds her heart fluttering from such a simple gesture──maybe because it's more than she ever got from Nate or maybe it's because it's coming from you but while Eva is admiring the candy ring sitting just above her own engagement ring she finds herself disappointed it wasn't a real one.

Mica was there when you bought that ring pop. They bought one too. Uno reverse cards you──how do you respond?

Error message... Detective Han is not responding. They will freeze up and just stare at you. It might look quite intimidating to passerby's but you can see how their eyes are wider than usual. Don't let them stand there for too long, will you? They're going to need to breathe sooner or later.

José plays along with it so well! They give you their hand so you can place the 'ring' on their finger. Can and will flaunt it as if it were a real engagement ring. They won't make the biggest deal out of it though, just enough to make you laugh. They don't eat it either, which the probably should it's candy it has no other use, giving it a place on their shelves in their studio. José might give you something similar in return, a physical gesture of reciprocation!

Being the observant man he is, Ji Han wouldn't be surprised when you suddenly dropped down on one knee. His smile is both wide and calming as he raises an eyebrow and waits for you to finish your little speech. He gracefully accepts the ring and smoothly offers it to you, so you can share the sweetness. smooth mfer.

Fauve will gasp so loud people will think this is a real proposal. She'll throw her head back in joyous laughter before taking the ring pop from you with an over the top curtsey. She'll be thinking about it all day (and might definitely write about it in one of her journals or note books!)

Jackson tries to keep his face blank for as long as he can... turns out his poker face isn't the best when it comes to you. He finds himself feeling lighter as he takes it from you and just keys himself laugh at the silliness of it all──he feels younger somehow. Asks where you got it from so he (or you) can buy one for Cilly.

??? gets so blushy, like the blushiest lil guy you've ever seen. They have to look away from you so they can keep functioning and urge you to get up from your kneeling position so you don't hurt them much. They gingerly accept the ring pop and wear it the rest of the day. If their smile grows to the widest you've seen, that's their business please don't comment they will become a tomato.

I'm gonna make this super simple and let you com up with reasons why for yourselves!

Nate──the aftermath of a hurricane, the spotty rain and heavy winds that aren't strong enough anymore but still a constant reminder of their damaging wrath.

Eva──the warmth of the autumn sun peaking through clouded skies, a light that seems to shine only on you even though you're walking through a crowd.

Mica──the weather that keeps you on your toes, it was raining not even five minutes ago but now you think you'll overheat if you don't get out of your overcoat, but as soon as you do the wind picks up to caress your bare skin, goosebumps rising, before leaving again as to not keep you shivering.

Detective Han──the dead calm under the moon, there's a chill in the air that keeps you from relaxing but the freshness of the night keeps your mind clear.

José──the bright and warm sun that comes immediately after heavy rain, the skies lighting up in a kaleidoscope of colour and the rare sight of a double rainbow.

Ji Han──the first snow in winter, delicate and awe-inspiring, but comes with a message of harsher weather to come, an omen disguised under perfect beauty.

Fauve──the direct sun on a hot summers day, its warmth comforting yet it threatens to burn you if you stare for too long.

Jackson──the beginning of a hail storm, angry and unrelenting, yet it's not cold enough yet and the hail doesn't stick around, feeding the grass like an apology.

What types of MC's do the RO's like the most and what do they dislike the most?

hmmmm to answer this I'm going to go with what the ROs look for in a partner rather than what the MC would be like... if that makes sense──I don't want to make any 'canon' ideals for MCs! (did I answer this right??? I'm second guessing everything today)

Current Nate is tricky because he's not looking for a romance he's looking for one night stands or a fuck buddy. He likes it when people are bold enough to look him in the eye and tell him they want him (he's an egotist!) He's interested in a challenge but not if he has to actively work for it. He won't get with someone who can't keep their mouth shut (about their circumstances, not particularly during the sexy times...) so Nate tends to stray away from overly talkative people or those who can't keep a secret.

Eva is open to all kinds of personalities. She likes trying to get shier people to open up for her──she has no problems taking control of conversations or... situations. She likes playing the game with playful or flirty people, keeping her on her toes interests her. She likes seeing how far someone bold can go before she's the one who can let go and get a little looser/more passive. (she's the ultimate switch I'm telling you now) However, the core through line is she will not be with someone terribly selfish and arrogance gets old fast... mostly because it reminds her of Nate. (don't be like Nate, essentially.)

Mica doesn't particularly enjoy straight-laced or just judgemental people. They are very easy going and very spontaneous so a partner that wouldn't even entertain their plans or judge them for trying something completely random is very off putting. They do prefer more talkative people rather than stoic or quiet/shy people but it's not necessarily a turn off.

Let's be real, Detective Han is... emotionally stunted at best. They don't have time (in their head anyway) for romance so they've never given it a first thought let alone a second one. They find themselves more intrigued by someone who can match them──who won't back down from their morals or beliefs, someone who can challenge them to think and help them understand. Other than that they have no idea what their preferences are! (they don't like the feeling of being clung to... but in a isolationist 'you have to do everything with me and only me' kind of way not a physical way.)

José's hard no is someone who won't/can't get along with their family. Their second (less hard) no is someone who can't respect their autonomy and line of work/way of thinking. They don't have a particular preference over their partners personality or hobbies but they do know they want respect and loyalty. (Though, they must admit it's kind of fun to bounce off of a personality type different to theirs.)

Honestly, Ji Han doesn't know if he has a preference or not──he's usually the one who changes things up to fit the bill for the other player, you know? He can say he doesn't gel well with people who are elitists or those who look down on others just because they can (he's been with a few of them... didn't end that well) and he doesn't even consider people who are morally strung up... on their high horse for example. He bounces well off of shier people because he likes to get reactions from them──though he likes getting reactions from anyone he dates so really if they can't take his teasing well then they're not for him.

Fauve is a bit different. She hasn't gone for people genuinely in a very long time so she's a little rusty in the real feelings department. She likes people who let her be her──independent. He really appreciates it when someone can communicate well, because she needs to be on top of things surrounding emotions and she can't just take over a relationship with someone who won't work with her. (does that make sense? in essence she needs a partner that will let her 'take control' but not of everything. she still needs their involvement, she's not a dictator.) However, she does like it when she gets romantically surprised──randomly but her flowers or suggest going on a date out of the blue. Be involved with her personally not just aesthetically, ya'no?

With Jackson, his hard no is if they are child free/if they don't get alone with Cilly. He will not ever drop his daughter for a potential romance──he comes with 'baggage' he knows, so he won't even entertain people who can't handle it. I think Jackson actually prefers a more quieter partner, not shy per say but maybe calmer? He needs time in a relationship to build up a connection of trust and understanding. That and he's not the most talkative person in the world so holding conversations isn't his strong suit. (That's not to say he wouldn't go for someone louder or talkative, as long as they respected him to be a listener rather than a converser.)

??? is fairly new to this... romance stuff but not nearly as fresh as the detective. Their first, and only, relationship didn't last very long and they didn't really know them all to well (it was a mess and ??? was very hurt by it... itwasadare) they look for someone to trust─or rather someone who has shown ??? they can trust them─which is why they tend to gravitate towards openly kind and warm genuine people. Their ex was really snarky and mean in bad faith so they tend to avoid that like the plague.

how would the RO’s be in a red string of Fate AU? (cut to Nate desperately trying to cut the string off his finger bc he’s engaged lmao)

So the Red String Of Fate is one if my favourite AUs because if the origins of the myth!

In the ancient Chinese myth (and please correct me if I'm wrong!) the string is actually wrapped around the ankle rather than the pinky finger like in Korean and Japanese folklore! That the string connects you to the fate you're destined to have and with the people you belong with to achieve that fate.

My favourite “take” on this story is how it applies to all kinds of people, and even multiple people! I think that because of my understanding as a person who is not only pan(sexual) and open to polyamory but also demi(romantic) with a unique perspective through my best friend in to an aroace mindset that the thout of soulmates being strictly romantic and forever only one person is a bit bizzare──humans are people people, not person people... if that makes any sense.

I love exploring different 'avenues' of what connection means to people and how to push conventional boundaries as to what fate and destiny could be. That you have thousands of strings and they are woven together to create your tapestry of Fate (and this is where my favourite mythology comes in──greek mythology!) that is ever changing because the threads fray when you lose a connection or they gray out when someone dies, not fraying because even though they're gone they're still important to you, that the brighter strands are the people who mean the most to you.

I adore it──the introspection into human connection. (I love reading through aroace and poly story's for that exact reason!)

But back to your question! In the classic sense of the Red String Of Fate AU where it's Romantic Soulmates:

You're right, Nate absolutely detests his string──the whole concept of soulmates really. What really gets him is that he hates the feeling of no control, that there's no choice to be made that his string doesn't lead to the one he asks to marry him. He learnt a long time ago how to ignore his string, how to ignore the tug when you leave his side, how to ignore the tingles on the tips of his fingers when you're closer, how to ignore you... it's sad more than anything else──that his need for control, his vision of life, deprives you of a soulmate connection too.

As stated before, Eva truly is a romantic at her core and the thought that she has a soulmate is something she dreams of. Life, however, isn't a dream world and she also believes in agency and making decisions for herself. Though if there's anything Eva regrets it's saying yes to Nate when he proposed to her. Young naivety can only go so far as an excuse when she long for the tiny ounces of warmth you bring her when you cross paths. She keeps it a secret, but the hope that you'll snap her out of the predicament she's in keeps her heart pumping and her fingers tingling!

Mica is a little bit of a different story, considering your connection to each other already. In terms of the Original Universe, Mica might be the closest thing MC has to a soulmate that universe has, platonically or romantically. Mica loves you. Full stop. The fact that fate says you're destined to be in each others life is just the cherry on top for them. It's always been easy to be in their presence, and they will never push romance on you──if you get there, that's where fate has taken you!

The concept of 'soulmates' is... strange to Detective Han, to say the least. They don't... not believe in it but they aren't particularly bothered to chase it either. I think when they finally actually realise what the tugging and the warmth and the tingling means is when they'll get a bit... tense around MC. They don't know how to navigate this and they'll eventually be ready to try──all they ask if for your patience and with time comes their love tenfold. (As fate would have it, it turns out.)

José likes the sentiment of having a Fated One, but putting it in their real world makes them a bit apprehensive. They don't like the thought of not having autonomy and while there's comfort in knowing there's someone out there just for them (and for them to give their heart to in return) the discomfort of not knowing can be a little much. They don't like the weight of expectations. It's difficult, when they make the choice to leave your side before your connection could really bloom─and it was certainly a tough decision─but they must believe that you'll come together when you're supposed to... they're just not sure if they actually do.

Ji Han grew up listening to the stories of these myths from his mother. It's something he yearns for silently. He wants you so much he'd do anything to keep you in his heart. But he's a gentleman first and lets you take the reigns──to go at your pace. In this world he might believe he can have his love at first sight, and if he has his way the sight of his love would be his last, to bless him for his next life to be with you once again.

With Fauve fate is... subjective. In this world she tends to wear gloves. She doesn't like the way she feels when she sees her string while she's... entertaining others. It's not necessarily that Fauve hates the idea of soulmates, it's just that she can't fathom that she'd ever get to meet hers. When she was younger she used to fantasize about her fated one, and her hopes for who they were always came crushing down when it never was who she thought, in the end. Upon meeting MC she may not even realise she just met her fated one until it's too late and after the decisions she's made surrounding you freezes her heart at the thought you wouldn't want her anymore. Dilemmas, dilemmas.

For Jackson, I've chosen to believe Fate gave him a second chance string. That his first red string led him to his daughter, Cilly, and the second will lead him to you. The problem, however, is that that first experience with Fate has left Jackson both weary and jaded to the idea. That while yes, it gave him his most precious thing, the live of his child, it also left him with a shattered heart and scars on his soul. Fortunately, he's not completely closed off, like Nate is, but like Detective Han he needs time to build up trust and let his walls down──for himself!

??? adores his string and the person on the other end of it. Growing up in the way they did left them alone most of the time, betrayed by their family and sent away. They hold out their hopes of love even when their body is cold from being so far away from you and worships the feeling of warmth as the two of you get closer once again.

Bonus! The Poly Routes

Jauve (Ji Han/Fauve)──They balance each other out very well here. Ji Han allows Fauve to accept and acknowledge her feelings towards Fate sooner than she would on her own──coming to terms with it more healthily and giving her more perspectives on how to goes about her choices around her fated ones than she does on her own. And Fauve makes sure Ji Han takes his time to properly love, to savour the feeling with time and introspection and creating connection before blindly jumping into it. They let's each other believe in more ways to love people, to bask in those feelings and to become better people than they thought they were capable of.

Eva&???──for ???, there's that sort of hurt in his chest at just how much they get to breathe when with MC and Eva. ??? never really thought they'd get to even have one soulmate let alone two! The build up of emotion they feel... is like it could burst out if their chest──explode their very being at any second. So they bask in the feeling of you, fingers digging a little too deep into their hold on your connection. For both of them it's all about second chances. It feels like fate has decreed to spare them more suffering and gifted them something so wholely special. Eva especially thanks whichever god's bound her to two beings, the scars and hurt from Nate seem to just melt away when you're around and she can finally relax her heart once again...

oooh what do the RO's think about an MC who sings and has written a few songs? :)

I don't know much about songwriting but I do know that it's hard! And singing is a talent most people think is easy, but it's also quite hard too (spoken from experience lmao. #authorlore I did voice (singing) for my chosen instrument in gcse music about 9 years ago!)

Unfortunately, Nate... doesn't care all that much. If you keep it to yourself he'll pretend he doesn't know you have these skills. If you're outspoken and proud about it he might get a little passive aggressive if he feels like you're getting more attention than he is.

One might think that Eva might consider you competition, considering her aspirations for being a singer herself. However, Eva would absolutely adore an MC would could sing and write! She would encourage you to sing for her and with her every chance she gets. She might ask if she can sing your songs, for she's not that adept at writing herself and she would want to share your talents with anyone who would want to listen!

Mica probably already knew of your talents for singing and writing, being your best friend from a very young age. However, if you hadn't shared this with them they wouldn't be particularly hurt to not be included until now──Mica might be a little hurt but more than anything they're happy you decided to share it with them at all! Always your biggest supporter and as your self imposed manager would immediately suggest booking you performances, if you wanted to perform that is.

Detective Han is a simple person, they acknowledge your talents and will praise your skill but they won't do much more than that. If you decide to share your songs with them they'll carefully pour over the lyrics to determine what you're trying to say and give you their insights honestly. If you sing them lullabies or just softly while they're attempting to sleep they might actually acknowledge the fluttering of their heart in their chest.

José is excited for you!! They would jokingly ask if they could start making merchandise for you but they might actually end up making something special just for you one night. They might just start bragging about you to their family and if you ever went 'round to their family house and see one of their younger siblings wearing a prototype design for a fake tour with your name on it... no you didn't!

It might be one of his only 'cons' but Ji Han doesn't really care all that much for music with lyrics. That's not to say he's apathetic to your singing ability or writing prowess, it's just that when he listens to music it's to wind down and think about nothing──his mind is always so busy all of the time! He would say his favourite genre is classical music and he loves a lovely soft piano so he'd bethe most receptive to songs like that, if you had any. He wouldn't refuse to listen to your songs if they had lyrics, don't get it wrong! And, like his sibling, he would try his very best to give you his best insights and opinions if you asked them of him but, like I said, he might not the be the most... engaged... out of the ROs.

Fauve might ask if she can write an article about you for her column──‘new star on the rise!’ but if you wanted to keep it personal she wouldn't push. (She might write it anyway but present it only to you... she's very good at flattery but she's very genuine in her praise of your talents!) Would offer to become your personal paparazzi, but that one is mainly a joke! (she takes the best candids of you anyway!) If she connects with a particular lyric you've written she'll find herself doodling it in all of her notebooks and journals... she might even write it on her skin at times!

With Jackson... he's trying his best but he doesn't really get writing songs. He'll listen to your songs──he's more than happy to! He just might not get them. He does know his way around the basics of a guitar though! So upon the (very big) chance than Cilly finds out about your talents and she insists on the two of you performing for her, he'll pop out the ol' guitar and join you in song. Just don't ask him to sing with you, his voice won't carry a tune no matter how hard he tries.

??? already adores you but they might fall one step deeper for you upon hearing you sing. If you perform for them they're all heart eyes! They'll feel your music with their whole body but please don't ask them about your lyrics──they can focus on your words when you sound so good singing them!

Hello! I did some Research!

So to answer your second question first──I'd say that all the ROs were fashionable! However, since it's set during the turn of the decade ('72) some ROs are more fashion forward and knowledgeable than others who like/are sticking to trends from the 60s! (and a couple ROs who don't care for fashion trends and wear what they can buy!)

Side note, finding men's fashion is such a Task! I wish there was more references to style icons than the same 5 men over and over again!

Instead of bold and bright colours Nate, like Eva, tends to stick with earthy colour (mainly browns!) But he's not afraid to be flamboyant and wear the bold colours.

"Sophisticated 70s/Casual Punk" Turtle or Roll Neck shirts, wide legged trousers over bell bottoms, but he prefers a nice pair of straight cut jeans. Very casual in his personal style, but he does like layering──mainly layering shirts. Ji Han is open to style tips and will definitely take them from a fashionable!MC! (If any MC gives him an accessory, he will wear it always, even if it doesn't go with the rest of the outfit.)

"Hippie Chic/Flower Child" Ruffles, Fringe and Fur and Colour and Pattern Mixing, paisley print and florals, block colours and stripes──Lace and Satin and Corduroy. Fauve is The Most fashionable out of all the ROs. She keeps on top of trends while also curating her own personal style. She subconsciously inspires the people she's around on a day to day to dress better. People go to her for style advice! Fauve also love hair accessories like headbands or bandanas, headscarves (and neckscarves!) Or something simple like a thin braided belt tied around the head (calling back to the 60s flower power movement!) Fauve is more a fan of over the knee platform boots but still has an extensive collection of shoes that include Clogs, Platform Sandals, Loafers and more casual shoes like Woven Espadrilles or trainers.

JACKSON

"70s Athleisure/Casual" polo shirts, casual footwear like Adidas or Puma trainers, tracksuit jackets. Pattern shirts. Denim jackets, Knitwear jumpers/sweaters. Most of his style comes from what his almost-ex wife curated for him, and he's trying to distance himself from it leaving him with little fashion knowledge and just going along with what he buys in store. He consultants his daughter about his fashion sometimes but she is and 8 year old so he's not sure how accurate her advice can be.
