2016 (this one was a winner in 8tracks’ holiday mix contest!*) | 2015 | 2014 | 2013 | 2012
*I won a year’s subscription to 8tracks that I never used because nobody else was using 8tracks. But the small boost to my ego was enough of a prize. I think my true calling may be “DJ for an entirely early-music-focused radio station which does not exist.”

Watch Free Movies and TV Shows OnlineYou’re in the right place if you’re into love with watching movies. Movies and TV serials are a fun area where people love to spend their leisure time. Making a visit to the cinema or movie theatre sometimes seems like a waste f time and money. In such a scenario, streaming movies online is left as an option as it helps you not only save time and money but also make things convenient. Imagine life when you get to watch movies at your fingertips and for free. Watch a movie, drama or a serial. All of it at your comfort. Along with that, complete information about TV shows is present on the site. That information is based on IMDB rating, director, release date, duration, synopsis of the episode, and cast. In short, it is regarded as one of the best websites to watch TV shows as well as movies from different origins. Film is a work of art in the form of a series of live images that are rotated to produce an illusion of moving images that are presented as a form of entertainment. The illusion of a series of images produces continuous motion in the form of video. The film is often referred to as a movie or moving picture. Film is a modern and popular art form created for business and entertainment purposes. Film making has now become a popular industry throughout the world, where feature films are always awaited by cinemas. Films are made in two main ways. The first is through shooting and recording techniques through film cameras. This method is done by photographing images or objects. The second uses traditional animation techniques. This method is done through computer graphic animation or CGI techniques. Both can also be combined with other techniques and visual effects. Filming usually takes a relatively long time. It also requires a job desk each, starting from the director, producer, editor, wardrobe, visual effects and others.
Definition and Definition of Film / Movie While the players who play a role in the film are referred to as actors (men) or actresses (women). There is also the term extras that are used as supporting characters with few roles in the film. This is different from the main actors who have bigger and more roles. Being an actor and an actress must be demanded to have good acting talent, which is in accordance with the theme of the film he is starring in. In certain scenes, the actor’s role can be replaced by a stuntman or a stuntman. The existence of a stuntman is important to replace the actors doing scenes that are difficult and extreme, which are usually found in action action films. Films can also be used to convey certain messages from the filmmaker. Some industries also use film to convey and represent their symbols and culture. Filmmaking is also a form of expression, thoughts, ideas, concepts, feelings and moods of a human being visualized in film. The film itself is mostly a fiction, although some are based on fact true stories or based on a true story. There are also documentaries with original and real pictures, or biographical films that tell the story of a character. There are many other popular genre films, ranging from action films, horror films, comedy films, romantic films, fantasy films, thriller films, drama films, science fiction films, crime films, documentaries and others. That’s a little information about the definition of film or movie. The information was quoted from various sources and references. Hope it can be useful.
❍❍❍ TV MOVIE ❍❍❍ The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 1930s. Televised events such as the 1936 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 19340 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 1939 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 19440 World MOVIE inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 1948, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “”Mr Television”” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 4, 1951 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets. The first national color broadcast (the 1954 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 1, 1954. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 1965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 19402, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season.
❍❍❍ Formats and Genres ❍❍❍ See also: List of genres § Film and television formats and genres Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional MOVIE). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows.[citation needed] A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 1980s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little.[citation needed] If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order.[citation needed] Since the 1980s, many MOVIE feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television MOVIE to have this kind of dramatic structure,[4][better source needed] while the later MOVIE Babylon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intendevd five-season run.[citvatio””&n needed] In 2012, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film.[5] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2012, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “”I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television.

People checking their names on the voter lists
May 20 Part 1
Early morning, the sun isn’t up yet. It is May 20, the day of the presidential election. The lobby is buzzing with international election observers. Today the coffee is available in the lobby - and we are on the buses quickly.
Shops in the Caracas are closed today, but people are selling fruit on the streets, large truck-beds of mangos, carts of passion fruit. As we drive though the city every few blocks there is a building with a line in front of it, or a group of people sitting under a shade tent set up outside. These are the voting centres.
As we enter the Libertador municipality of Caracas, there is a sound of a trumpet, and soon we are pulling up to a voting centre. We have arrived at the Miguel Antonio Caro school - just moments after the first vote in the country has been caste, that of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
There is a drone flying overhead, filming the lines of people forming along the sidewalk. Others patiently wait in chairs decorated with a bright red fabric, further into the voting centre, people are sitting on long benches before they can enter their assigned voting station. No one looks impatient, or worried, and most are chatting with their neighbour.
We are next taken to a voting centre on an armed forces base, one which is used by both service members and their families. Before the Bolivarian revolution, members of the armed forces were not allowed to vote, today they will be voting in their 24 election since 1999. As people wait to vote in organized rows on a covered basketball court, there are many children playing, bringing joy to the atmosphere.
Our final observation of the morning was at the Dr. Carlos Varvelo Military Hospital. Although the name of the hospital continues to be “military,” it is, in fact, a hospital open to all members of the community. Here, we had the opportunity to interview Kaguer Brazon, a 19-year-old voting for his first time. He was impressed by how calm the day had been, and it was clear that he felt relaxed and well-prepared for the entire process.
Tumblr media
Alison reporting from the voting station at the Dr. Carlos Varvelo Military Hospital
For the afternoon - we leave the city of Caracas for the State of Vargas to the north. Here, we are taken to a social housing complex “Urbanismo Hugo Chavez.” Residents of this housing have been given their homes for free, as part of a housing program of the Bolivarian revolutionary project called “Mision Vivienda”
The voting station here is set-up in a community building that lies in the centre of the apartment buildings. As with the previous voting centres, people are waiting patiently to vote, sitting under large white tents that have been set-up outside. Here there is also music playing, and a strong atmosphere of celebration and community,
After many dynamic conversations with voters, we leave Vargas in the late afternoon. Soon the polls will begin to close, and process of counting and auditing the votes will begin.
Within three hours, we are arriving at the headquarters of the National Electoral Council, the branch of government in Venezuela that is in charge  of running the elections process. We enter a large tent where the press conference announcing the elections results will be taking place. There are dozens of television cameras set-up at the back off the room,  including one for CNN.
Mass capitalist media such as CNN has already declared today’s election to be “illegitimate,” - so it makes you wonder why they even bother to show up for an announcement of the results.
As the President of the CNE enters the room everyone stands up. Her message is brief. With just over 92% of the votes reported - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has won another six years in office! Her voice is steady and matter-of-fact and the results cannot be denied. Over 5.8 million people voted to continue the Bolivarian revolutionary process in Venezuela and we have been witness to it.
Loud “bangs” ring out, but it is nothing to be alarmed by - only fireworks celebrating another step-forward for the sovereignty and self-determination of the people of Venezuela.
May 20 Part 2
We were up before the sun came up and everyone was already excited. No one was late for the bus and as the sun came up we were headed towards the polling centres which had already opened at 6am.
We visited the working class community of "23 de Enero" , which had several voting centres for the block of apartments. I was struck by how calm everything was. It was before 6:30 and already there were orderly lines at the ballot stations. Some people waves their ID cards towards us proudly.
We walked through several voting centers and the air of calm and efficiency was the same everywhere we went in the neighbourhood.  Even some of the international delegates who had been skeptical of the voting process beforehand were talking about how impressed they were.
We also visited a voting center in what turned out to be President Maduro's old high school. There were really big crowds out front, and a large shaded waiting area inside. There was right wing and public TV stations present.
Tumblr media
News media was even allowed in to watch people vote, just not behind the voting screen
Again, it was very peaceful in the voting areas. People seemed mostly shy to speak with us,  but one woman stopped us to say that Venezuela isn't like what we were seeing on TV and she was here to defend her rights and her country.
It was just as interesting to drive through Caracas and see pockets of people and voting lineups taking place without fanfare all over the city.
Before Comandante Chavez, members of the military were forbidden from voting. Now they wait their turn in line and are able to vote like everybody else. We stopped at an army base where the surrounding community and soldiers were voting together. We saw how serious they are about maintaining secret ballots when someone from our group tried to take photos of someone voting behind barrier. They were quickly told to cut it out and let the person vote in peace.
The observation mission continued at a large hospital, where patients, doctors, nurses and the surrounding community could vote. It seemed like a great idea to bring the voting directly to the hospital if patients aren't able to leave.
Again, like everywhere we went, there were calm lines of people of all ages waiting for their turn to vote.
We left Caracas for the final observations of the day,  traveling to the community "Hugo Chavez" , which was an incredible mini-city built initially for people who lost their homes due flooding.
There we were able to interview Lola, a local community leader. Everyone seems to come to her with questions and she seemed to know everyone waiting in line to vote. Between organizing all sorts of details she was happy to share her perspectives on the importance of voting that day, and call for international unity fighting against imperialism.  She gave great hugs as well.
As the polls closed, our team had visited five different voting locations and seen many more in our travels. I have no hesitation in saying I saw a process which was well organized,  inclusive and comprehensive in terms of checks and balances.
The only thing left to do was to wait for the vote count. We were able to to get to the National Electoral Council to watch the official announcement live.
Tumblr media
Secured ballot box
The official announcement came around 10:30pm, and it was obvious Maduro had won the election with more than 4 million votes over the next opposition candidate,  Henri Falcon. However, it seems the Falcon already knew what the results would be, because earlier in the day he announced that he wouldn't be accepting the results of the election.
We could hear fireworks going off following the annoucement of Maduro's victory, and we've been able to see massive celebrations happening around the country on Venezuelan TV. I'm sure the international press will show none of these.
No matter what happened in the elections, they were going to be condemned by imperialist countries and their mainstream media. When the voter turnout is high, they cry foul for "ballot box stuffing". When it's low, they say there is " widespread voter apathy". Their headlines are pre-written.
What I think is important is that President Maduro, the United Socialist Party (PSUV) and supporters of the Bolivarian revolutionary process won another clear six year mandate to confront the challenges they face.
The counter-revolutionary opposition remains the same: without unity or ideas, and constantly relying on outside intervention to stay afloat. The U.S. government and politicians like Marco Rubio and Mike Pence, U.S. vice-president, are already making inflammatory and dangerous statements refusing to acknowledge the election.
What has been increasingly obvious this entire trip is that what the corporate  mainstream media, including in Canada, is saying about the Venezuelan election is deliberately distorted. There are many challenges here, but nothing like the crisis we are told is here.
There is mass participation in the political process and continued support for the revolutionary government. Venezuela has a challenging road ahead in building its Socialist future, but this election was an important step forward. I feel very fortunate to have witnessed it for myself.
May 20 Part 3
As my alarm went off at 4:00am I was filled with excitement knowing that election day has arrived. The various delegations had all gathered in the lobby for a quick cup of coffee and we were ready to depart to the various electoral centers throughout Caracas. Our bus was heading to the well known parish of 23 de Enero (23rd of January), this name was given to this parish in 1958 to commemorate the overthrow of Venezuelan dictator Marcos Perez Jimenez.
We arrived at 23 de Enero and as soon as we stepped off the bus we were surrounded by many revolutionary murals. These walls had images of former President Hugo Chavez, Che Guevara and art in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Not to mention that they were playing Hasta Siempre a song dedicated to Che Guevara on loud speakers at the entrance to the community. Just walking through the neighbourhood alone gave you the feeling that this community was not just focused on their own projects but definitely felt connected to the various struggles throughout the world. We were greeted by many friendly Venezuelans waiting in line outside one of the polling stations, they wanted us to see their ID cards that guarantees their right to vote and encouraged us to take photos of the them.
Tumblr media
Voter at 23 de Enero neighbourhood
As we entered the building used as the electoral centre a community electoral official informed us that we will have the opportunity to see the voting process first hand. But first she wanted to explain how important it was that they made sure each member of the community had a chance to vote and that members of the community would even go door to door to encourage everyone to vote. We said our good byes and would continue to three more electoral sites including a high school, an army Barracks and communal town "Urbanismo Hugo Chavez" in Vargas state.
Visiting the Communal town of "Urbanismo Hugo Chavez" was an amazing experience as we were able to see how Venezuelans are organising to solve everyday problems with a government equally committed to finding these solutions. Lola, a community organiser explained that the town started out as a response to a natural disaster that left many Venezuelan families homeless. The government's response was to start an ambitious project to not just rebuild the lost homes but to include the necessary infrastructure to provide everything needed to meet the social needs of those living in the town. This included a health clinic, market, police station and recreational zones for youth to play sports.
We finished the day by visiting the CNE to witness the final results of the election, and once again with president Maduro's being reelected, the Venezuelan people will continue to maintain their independence and sovereignty.

Diary of a Madman, Page 39
11,000 people peering inside, you’re one of the chosen.
I. This Week’s Analyses [Retail]
Elon Musk Finally Catches Up To Biologic Intelligence [FEATURED]: we show off our commercial one-pager and a page from our pitch deck.
Amazon’s Miraculous Pillar Business [fountainhead]: analyzing the subtle aspects of Amazon’s ROIC-based business strategy.
The Changing Dynamics of Reality Retail [fountainhead]: our thesis is that a personal and human experience matter for non-commodity products.
Operating System for Future Luxury Retail [fountainhead]: bridging the offline and online gap.
Facebook F8 2017 Predictions [fountainhead]: how’d we do?
II. “Cockamamie Bullshit”
Below is the chart that Nick Bostrom put together in his AI book, Superintelligence. It tells what is required to emulate real Biologic Intelligence. While the rest of the industry is focused squarely on #1, over the last 6 years, we’ve emulated #2, #3, #4, some of #5, and #9.
I had a potential investor a few weeks back reply to our pitch deck, without even making it all the way through, that what we’ve done is, and I quote, “cockamamie bullshit”. Truth be told, he’s heavily invested in #1 below (and has told his LPs the same) so for someone to come along and say he’s been disrupted? Well, as you might imagine, that just ain’t gonna sit well with some of them thar old-timey folks.
And no, I’m not afraid to call out bullshit when I see it. The truth is a wonderful thing. If you still don’t believe in the power of Biologic Intelligence, or you think we’re the only group talking about it, then let me introduce you to this little organization called DARPA. You know, the ones who CREATED SELF-DRIVING and protects the United States of America with advanced technology. That little group.
They released a new proposal a few weeks back looking for and describing everything we’ve been saying publicly for the last year. A few relevant quotes:
Current artificial intelligence (AI) systems only compute with what they have been programmed or trained for in advance; they have no ability to learn from data input during execution time, and cannot adapt on-line to changes they encounter in real environments.
At the same time, current ML systems are not intelligent in the biological sense. They have no ability to adapt their methods beyond what they were prepared for in advance and are completely incapable of recognizing or reacting to any element, situation or circumstance they have not been specifically programmed or trained for. This issue presents severe limitations in system capability, creates potential safety issues, and is clearly limiting in Department of Defense (DoD) applications, e.g., supply chain, logistics, and visual recognition, where complete details are often unknown in advance and the ability to react quickly and adapt to dynamic circumstances is of primary importance.
The human brain does not constitute the only biological system relevant to the L2M project. The project will also look to lower animal brains, and even organisms without brains due to reduced complexity, yet remarkable behaviors.
Of course there’s much more. Especially when they get into the nitty gritty:
Sounds exactly like what we have in our one-pager:
The future is not cockamamie bullshit. You only get that kind of heated, angered response when you become a threat to someone’s buggy whip business. That’s a signal you’re onto something big. As one of my very good, long-time startup friends told me recently, “keep punchin”.
III. Three Interesting Things
One: For Sale. We’re selling 3 products that we’ve reviewed. Email me if you’re interested:
