Whitespaces
I took this image with natural light. The makeup bag and the remote look whiter than the envelope.
I then closed the blinds and turned on a white light, and now the bag looks not as white as the remote and the envelope. It looks warmer.

whitescapes assignment !!
so for wednesday’s whitescape assignment, i took a photo of a fluffy white keychain that was detached from a perfume bottle on the reversed side of my bed comforter since it was white as well. i thought it would be interesting to place a textured object into a textured background :3
in the first photo, i used the flash option on my phone camera. even tho the surface and object are both white, the shadows from the flash casted onto my comforter which made it look slightly gray in the back. the fluffy keychain appeared to have a yellowish tint, making the white seem more of a beige/cream white.
in the second photo, you can see tremendously how different the two whites are. the keychain seemed more beige compared to the surface. in person, the comforter looks like it’s a pure white but in the photo it looks a little bit beige as well because of my phone camera. the keychain looked more beige in person as well.

White research
I was in the art studio and found many white things. I found a mouse, plate, pen, bottle cap, cardboard, towels, Swiss miss packet, computer charger, my AirPods, and a receipt.
I was exploring the different white colors and found that when comparing the Swiss miss to the plate the packet turns a cold egg white. When I compared the packet to the cardboard it became less bright and more like a dirty gray.
Comparing the plate to the cardboard we can see that the plate is way more yellow in color than the cardboard. My group talked about how many whites there are that we didn’t realize before.

Eco Bundles Color Research!
I LOVED this color research! It was so fascinating to see how much color we can pull from things in nature, and I loved the whole process. It’s definitely something that I’ll be making more of at home, and my sister really wanted to join when I showed her what we made! My dad was also amazed how much color I was able to get from nature things. Overall a great experience and my family wants to try it too! Also the last picture is the fabrics hanging in my closet drying :)

Color Research: Color Coding 🎨🔍
➡️ Here's my color-coding for our color research! I usually color-code my closet, but I ended up switching around the color groupings to see which one I liked best. I feel like my color arrangements have to start with white for some reason, rather than the typical red 🤷🏼♀️😂 I then organized them based on how they fit together in the traditional rainbow order, with each color flowing into the next (this is probably most evident in the greens and blues and gray sections). I love color-coding things so this was a fun exercise! 😊

Here is my color research for organizing by color! I’m out of town this week and don’t have access to my usual belongings, so I decided to do this digitally :)
