Exploring Existing packaging & patterns

Aim of the task                                                                                                   

The aim of the task was to gather images, that could stimulate ideas for our pattern design. In this mood board, I placed in consideration packaging which effectively alludes the brand personally, through the choice of hue and typography.

Inspiration

During this research, I selected images of patterns which I thought to be cohesive, due to the use of completory colours which created aesthetic patterns. I choose packaging which I thought to be minimalistic but concise, effectively conveying the purpose of the brand to its target audience. Additionally, I took into consideration hue and created a series of colour palettes alluring different gradients. Putting into consideration colour gave me an idea of what hue to use, and consider my limitations. Of equal importance, I noted ways in which the selected images used patterns which are linked to ice cream, with the intent to implement the technique into my design.
