One of the few things I did manage to finish this holiday season: this cross-stitched pillow. This is where someone else might decide to not share the fact that it had been started last year and intended for a Christmas gift a year ago. Someone else would also probably leave out that it was then intended to be a birthday present in April and missed that deadline, too. But I’m all about full transparency, so that is exactly what happened. And would you believe that I still barely got it finished for this Christmas? Because I legitimately finished stitching it at 2am on the 19th, washed it, let it dry over the next 36-ish hours, and then hurriedly turned it into a pillow just hours before it was picked up. Because that’s just apparently how I work. Fabric: 22-count Aida dyed black with Rit Dye, purple canvas fabric bought from the remnants bin at @joann_stores Thread: @dmc_crafts Filling: mix of fabric and thread scraps and polyfil.
