Kinder für Kinder
Plätzchen für einen guten Zweck
Vor sieben Jahren hat das Brothaus in Burgbernheim erstmals Kinder zum Plätzchenbacken für einen guten Zweck eingeladen. Die Aktion „Engel & Bengel“ ist seitdem nicht mehr wegzudenken. „Das ist eine gute Sache mit doppelseitigem Effekt“, sagt Bruno Krug, der mit seiner Frau Margit in dieser Vorweihnachtszeit die Backaktion betreut hat. Die Kinder haben ein einzigartiges Erlebnis beim gemeinsamen Backen und mit dem Verkauf ihrer Plätzchen unterstützen sie ein chronisch krankes Kind.
An etwa 18 Vormittagen im November und Dezember marschieren gegn 9 Uhr die Kinder im Brothaus in Burgbernheim ein. Grundschulkinder oder Kindergartengruppen, jeweils etwa 25 Jungs oder Mädels, bekommen dann weiße Schürzen umgebunden, krempeln die Ärmel hoch und losgeht es. Gebacken wird direkt vor den Brotöfen im Anschluss an den Gastraum. „Den Teig haben wir schon vorbereitet“, so Bruno Krug. Die Kinder rollen noch ein bisschen aus und dann geht es an Ausstechen. „Ganz wichtig ist auch die Verzierung“, weiß Margit Krug. Die beiden Voll- und Teilzeitruheständler machen das mit Begeisterung.
Die Kinder, die auch ein Frühstück bekommen, sehen bei einer anschließenden Backstubenführung, wo ihre Plätzchen gebacken werden.
„Das sind bei uns ganz andere Öfen wie zu Hause“, erklärt Bianca Fischer vom Brothaus, die die Aktion einst ins Leben gerufen hat.
Für die Kinder ist der ganze Spaß umsonst und sie bekommen noch einen Anteil ihrer selbst gebackenen Plätzchen mit nach Hause. „Alle anderen verkaufen wir und spenden den Erlös an Amelie e. V.“, so Bianca Fischer. Zusätzlich haben in diesem Jahr Bruno und Margit Krug ihre Arbeitszeit gespendet. So sind insgesamt 5 555 Euro zusammengekommen, die Karin Hainke von Amelie e. V. nun einsetzen kann. „Die Spende geht an ein neunjähriges Kind aus der Region Feuchtwangen, das aufgrund eines Gendefekts von Geburt an weder laufen, sitzen, gehen, greifen noch lachen kann“, erklärt sie.
Eine bestimmte Physiotherapie hat dem Kind geholfen, wird aber von den Leistungsträgern nicht übernommen. Das Kind wurde dadurch wacher und konnte Freude äußern. „Das ist auch ganz wichtig für die Eltern“, weiß Karin Hainke, selbst Mutter eines chronisch kranken Kindes. Vor 18 Jahren hat sie den Verein gegründet, der den Namen ihrer verstorbenen Tochter trägt.
Amelie e. V. hat 130 Mitglieder und betreut derzeit bundesweit 51 Kinder. „Ich kenne alle Kinder persönlich“, sagt Hainke. Der Verein bietet dort Unterstützung, wo keine Gelder von Krankenkassen oder öffentlichen Institutionen fließen: Beschaffung von Hilfsmitteln oder medizinisch unterstützenden Geräten, bei therapeutischen Maßnahmen wie Reittherapie oder mit minimalinvasiver Naturheilkunde oder Akupunktur. „Und wir erfüllen Herzenswünsche von schwerkranken Kindern“, fügt Karin Hainke an. Die Krankheiten der Kinder reichen dabei von Autoimmun- oder Nierenerkrankungen über Gendefekt, Autismus, Epilepsie und vielen mehr. Stets entscheidet der individuelle Fall, wie geholfen werden kann-
