Oldest Real GREEK family owned eating spot in Dearborn since 1965. Owner makes marvelous Greek Marinaded Kebabs OMG you must try. Operating as a restaurant since 1942 and in1965 a Greek family run eating spot classic homemade meals old school plates up hot fabulous breakfast and lunch. Named by CBS a top Breakfast spot in Dearborn. Opening in the wee hours of the morning at 4:30 am those truckers fill the place for a hot mega breakfast with piping hot coffee to get that cross country drive started. A mega sized parking lot for a dozen plus semi's and plenty for cars too. Today visit my all time favorite Greek Omelette filled with Gyro Feta Onion's Pepper's N Maters always get with Grits n great Rye Toast. She had a Double Patty Melt heavy Grilled Onion's. Daughter the big Breakfast Special all the Meat's 3Eggs Taters n Toast a mega deal. The interior is a throw back in time with a double u shaped counter and amazingly clean tables, booths and stools. The menu is a classic family style breakfast along with super American and Greek lunch specials, a little something for everyone. Another visit We had the chicken lunch along with Salisbury steak, mashed taters,corn and really tasty veggie soup. A true family run place by Leon who started working there at 4 years old for his dad. They pride themselves on super fast service inside or for take out,yes it's so fast is your in a hurry. Love this old school place and you will too. Just off the corner of I-94 and Wyoming be sure to stop in for a quick bite at fantastic prices. Open since 1942 as Dearborns Oldest Diner setting on the border of Detroit just off Michigan Ave. Same Greek Family owned since 1965 bet you didn't know. Open at 4:30 am until 3 pm the lot filled with Trucks waiting for a meal before the days delivery starts. Business down 50 percent because of Ambassador Bridge lock out and many auto plants Closed. Such a unique old school cool you must visit. My addiction the proper Greek Omelette yes they make it right. She Loves the Greek Chicken Kebob best around town. A double Horseshoe counter not found in just a few places. Love the Veggie Beef Soup and big Breakfast plates. For 8 bucks you get all the Meats, EGGS Toast n Taters. Been like 25 year's since last visit, was in the hood on Friday at dinner time. Got the classic Mexican Botona Wonderful Delicious the large fed 3 of us with leftovers. Also a Cheese, Chorizo n Bean Dip HOLY Cow what a explosion of Flavor. The parking lot half full with dinner orders, yes that's great very busy. Chicken Shawarma Bowls - Bursting with flavor, fresh and full of color. The fascination for Chicken & Beef Shawarma has me instantly addicted been twice in a couple weeks. Shawarma Bowls be Beef or Chicken on top of Rice Pilaf or Hummus, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles, Garlic Sauce, Tahini n Onions. Bowls are an easy way to load up on veggies while adding a grain and protein to keep you full and nourished. King of Muffuletta resides in house specialty a Famous New Orleans classic. The origins of the Muffuletta sandwich trace to Sicilian immigration to New Orleans at the turn of the 20th century. Muffuletta is some of the best components of an Italian antipasto platter wrapped up into a sandwich of epic proportions. Its impressive layers of thinly-sliced meats and cheeses, paired with an olive salad spread, pack a huge flavor punch. Absolutely most unique Wonderful Sandwich around Detroit makes this a must try for under 7 bucks OMG. The owner raised in the deli 30 years starting as a teenager has perfected the Olive Salad that topped this sandwich, more of a Garlicky flavor we so Loved. I ordered with Double Meat oops way to big only could eat half imagine that. Owner a mad scientist of Sandwich topping invented his own Russian Dressing when his favorite went outta business. Absolutely WOWED the smooth creamy dressing on the Double Corned Beef Russian sandwich so Marvelous ordered the Double Meat he weighed it at a pound n a half Holy cow perfect on toasted crunchy Rye and Squeezed Sauerkraut another perfect sandwich. Place has thousands of regular customers over the years buying the many house made deli Salads and daily specials we try the Lasagna outstanding with Garlic Bread and choice of Salad only 6 fifty. Exploding on the Detroit Foodie scene be Master Chef Junior Merino n wife Heidi I rate them at the along with Chefs at El Barzon and El Asador for the superb presentation and flavor loaded unique dishes like no other found in our area. Such a great place to brunch at. Starting with a fantastic soup of the day along explosion of flavor Passion Coconut Ceviche OMG Shrimps, Scallops, Mango, jalapeños topped with a Mexican Herb absolutely mind blowing dish. A couple refreshing drinks a Watermelon and best ever Horacha a famous Mexican drink. Chef plated up trio of dips Black Bean, Guacamole n Pico De Gallo all house made greatness. A trio of Steak Fajitas Taco a true winner. Trip would be complete without Mexican Street Corn Elote topped with Mezcal Aioli, Queso Cotija & Chipotle Powder Wowsa best dawn corn ever. Saj Alreef 5902 Schaefer Dearborn Michigan Great new place open a month now. We had to wait till after Ramadan since we only eat out at lunch time. Had a marvelous Sojuk long Flatbread with Veggies on side. A fabulous Lebanese Pizza with Halal Pepperoni those curl up while baking really good. For Dessert the Saj Crepe topped with Banana, Strawberry n Nutella a surprise flavor loaded treat. Had to knock off a star since Owner/Manager total belligerent A Ho saying don't want pictures, don't need your business. Will I go back NEVER just because of his attitude. Absolutely the very best new restaurant in Dearborn, our 2nd visit first was a fantastic take out order combination for 2 outstanding. We made a long lunch today trying much more greatness . Open a month now the place has the coolest murals on both sides of building, so unique Dearborn very beautiful. The owner chef 30 plus years plating up Lebanese meals so delicious. Today had our favorite Lentils Soup best in Dearborn, Fatouh Salad a lunch combined plate that had Chicken Shawarma, Kafta really great price. I had a dish me love Arayes Kafta spot on. The absolute hit I asked owner make me Chicken Shawarma Fries so unique, so fantastic. Owner the friendly outgoing and funny, greats all guests and handle the meal prep. Had the Famous Gladiator Burger me added another party for a full pound o Love right here folks. Premium Saad Halal Meats always fresh never frozen.
