Word of advice: NEVER stay silent when you're being abused. You think you're being respectful, keeping things quiet and thinking of them even when you're hurting, but I guarantee you that they are talking about you and in the most slanderous way possible. And they enjoy it. They are laying down the seeds of doubt in their social circle, among YOUR friends, so that when you finally react to their tactics, they can tell everyone about it and have everyone believe them. After all, they were fed misleading stories for weeks, months, maybe even years, all from the hands of the manipulative abuser. They thrive off your silence. They can twist narratives with your silence. They are absolutely disrespecting you and dismantling your character while you sit there thinking of them.
