What if he hires four people to collect lost equipment and scrap metal from the weird and forgotten parts of the mine?

What's the worst that can happen? Surely none of the protective runes have expired and there's nothing evil that has clawed up from the earth. And there's absolutely no chance Grimhilde cursed them. There can't be anything down there. And the mun has absolutely not binged Lethal Company playthroughs all day with a skull crushing sinus headache and thinks this is a hysterical idea.

I just volunteered at a hospital, shadowing a doctor who was scheduled to work at an ICU today, for the first time and WOWIE I saw some weird stuff that I wanna talk about to digest it easier:
- I met a SUPER sweet man who, due to a surgical complication, had his left testicle balloon up to the size of a small cantelope and GOD I HOPE HE DIDN’T NOTICE I KEPT GLANCING AT IT - The place is consistently cold and smells like chemicals. - Or bodily secretions. - There are no in-betweens. - Occasionally you will find a few angelic staff members walking around who smell absolutely lovely with perfume and I’ve never been a huge perfume fan until  today when someone walked by and gave my nose a fresh breath of anything remotely pleasant for the 4 hours I was there - You will always be standing or walking. Sitting for the weak. - Maybe it’s just the hospital I work at, but the people are surprisingly chill and silly whenever possible? Like it’s literally just another place to work, only your tasks involve helping ailing and sometimes grumpy people I honestly thought it might be more intense than this - I met a sweet elderly lady on a smooth road to recovery who’s been married to her husband for 67 years!! They were 17 when they got together and when she first got admitted to the hospital, the husband yelled at the doc I’m shadowing to help her. Now, after being under the doc’s care for some time, the husband was waiting patiently with his son for updates on his wife and thanked the doc warmly for taking care of her. It was the sweetest thing I heard all week. - Earlier before I arrived, a patient was LITERALLY DEAD FOR 15 MINUTES SOLID BUT THE STAFF HERE MANAGE TO BRING THEM BACK TO LIFE. HOW THE HELL- - I have forgotten that when you’re admitted in a hospital for more intensive care, you must strip yourself of almost all physical privacy with the medical staff for the sake of keeping yourself alive and was constantly reminded of it every time the doc was helping a patient get out of bed for a small walk. And the man with the enlarged testicle. Seriously, that thing was fucking huge- - On the flip side, I have never seen so many sick people gathered in one area, all sleeping or lying down in mostly silent pain with an occasional nasty cough popping in every now and again and it is mildly disturbing - Some patients’ bodies are so weak that they literally have little to no control over their bodies over even the smallest things, like their bowel movements, and though you must be understanding of it, we are also the unfortunate people who have to literally help get that shit out 33333:  - There were... a lot of people with catheters, tubes, IVs, and all sorts of fun stuff stuck into 90% of these people and seeing them in person and having to manipulate them to move the patients around always makes me nervous that I might trip over one of them and yank something out by accident - Just because they’re sick and need your help doesn’t stop people from being people. People WILL try to weasel out of their care plan to their long-term detriment, like how people don’t eat their veggies, because it can be painful af to them... or they just don’t want to do it. - A lady today turned down assistance because she was feeling spiteful as hell to a surgeon who accidentally cut up an intestine, which is understandable, but... boycotting care only makes her recovery harder and more prolonged. - Our tax dollars pay prisons...VERY well in my state. A lot of prisoners get free health care and even if you’re on death row, they will allow you things like heart surgeries, hip replacements, and others. Apparently some people take advantage of this and land in jail on purpose to get free health care. Still not sure how it works though. - The staff here’s really nice and welcoming and it was my lucky day bc someone brought in cookies and they were nice enough to share them with me
