that's me in the corner, that's me in the spotlight, trying to write a post about last kind words

#it was both incredibly pretentious and boring #while also being confusing and nonsensical and a bit mean-spirited #yeah it had a higher production value than the normal five dollar bin affair that i thought it was #and alexia fast gives a good performance as the mysterious woods girl who is later revealed to a supernatural creature of some kind #and of course brad dourif throwing his entire back out giving a great performance and being the best part #but for like. forty minutes it moves at a snail's pace before just throwing everything at you #i'll tell you what though there's this one character who shows up out of nowhere #who's like a friend of the main character from 'the city' and she has three scenes and none of them have to do with the plot #she shows up. asks if the main character wants to run away with her. he says no. she leaves. #then towards the end it shows her packing and running away #and i gotta say she was my favorite character hope she's having a good life in a better movie #but yeah the movie itself gets really mean at the end #tw: suicide #i don't want to mention it here but it gets SO WEIRD in the last ten minutes it blows me away #idk i might figure out a post about it later or i'll just leave it here #don't know whether or not to recommend it as a film or to dourif fans #because he's a central character and he really does do waaaay more than needed #but it has a pretty awful ending and... i don't know dm me for details? #brad dourif #last kind words #alexia fast
