i vaguely remember you dont eat gluten can i get castielsprostates best tips for someone going gluten free in the netherlands this week

oh bestie :( i dont eat gluten free but i follow a low carb diet (not keto!!!!!) sjsjssj though i have limited knowledge on gluten free food, i do know some things!!!

in the big brand stores (jumbo, AH, plus, jan linders) i frequent most/know most about, they have shelves exclusively for gluten free food!!!!! i know jumbo usually has it next to the bake breads/rolls, breakfast oats and cereals and high protein shelves. it's not a lot, but there are options for bread, sweets uhhh spaghetti breakfast yoghurts etc. it is way way way more pricey than literally everything else but it is gluten free!!! (note things that are stored cool, candies not from schär/yam/lekker vrij are in the candy/sweets aisle and fresh products ((like the tagliatelle)) are stored next to other fresh products and not near these shelves!!! however they are usually marked!!)

i know for a fact all 4 stores listed above have both the brand Schär and Yam ("lekker vrij" is a jumbo brand). another tip for going to jumbo; they have these 25 cents to 5eur discount bins and there's often quite a bit of gluten free food to be found there (esp in the mornings!!)

as for eating out, again, i dont eat gluten free, but *most* restaurants have gluten free options, usually marked on their menus or it has a little line "voor allergenen info vraag naar een medewerker" (for allergen info ask our servers/employee)!! most places speak english as well (if you're not too rural sjsjssjssjss)

usually gluten free options are marked "glutenvrij" or with a wheat symbol (nr 2 on the list below) (egg, gluten, lupine, milk, sesame, nuts, sulphur dioxide, celery, peanuts, mustard, fish, mollusks, soy and crustaceans)
