This is a mindless, brainless and very careless way of speaking. It dilutes the meaning of words.

haha so I was looking at alternative DID criteria, since Dell's long-ass complex dissociative disorder is kinda the only one I really know, and I dunno this criterion of Coons' pervasive dissociative disorder amused me:

The presence in an individual of more than one identity or ego state as exemplified by any three of the following:

1) Markedly different handwriting styles 2) The experiencing of “inner voices” commenting upon or derogatory of the individual’s behavior 3-7) [Etc., things you would expect -- using different names, saying “we” or talking about system members in the third person, etc.]

i mean i get that lots of systems have different handwriting styles, but I don’t really know about making it one of your seven Indicators Of Multiplicity lmao (especially with the way that putting it first makes it seem particularly important)

#i mean we sorta 'have' different handwriting but it's a conscious attempt to make our notes recognizably 'oh so-and-so wrote that' :V #actually i think Dell and Coons are the only ones we've seen who try to echo DSMspeak and quantify things? #at least those are the ones we've stumbled across without particularly looking
