Not sure if they're checking for any responses, but mostly I wanted to agree. I haven't been in many fandoms, but even the main one I'm in now is alot more "cliquey" compared to years ago when RP and ask blogs were still really common. Now, alot of RP is mostly in Discord, and while I agree the messaging is easier/better than on Tumblr, Discord groups feel more closed off and gatekeepy at times. Plus my OTP is a NOTP for alot of people in the fandom, and I'm not interested in the juggernaut ships, so I get left out of alot of fandom events.

Tbh, I know it's not for everyone, but I've done better in a multi-fandom server I joined compared to any of the servers that are specific to the fandom I'm in. The one I joined I only did,cuz the admin is someone I already knew from my main fandom. I knew they were fair and kind, and they had modding experience in other servers, and it's been overall a great experience, until the server unfortunately died a while back, just due to the admin and other mods having irl stuff come up and take up all their time.

The only other server I've had a good time in was one that's specifically for fic writers in the fandom, which has events and showcases fics of people in the server, so it's alot of us pumping each other up and infodumping about our ideas and AUs.

Something I've had to learn to look out for when going into servers is in rules. Channels that state people's triggers and squicks is well-meaning, but unfortunately, in every server I've been in that had that turned into a wankfest sooner or later, usually with 2 or 3 BNFs in the server attacking each other or smaller creators in the server, using things in the trigger and squick list to harass or claim they were being harassed. Similar wankfests happened if the server has a list of topics and/or ships that aren't allowed to be talked about. Even if someone doesn't mention a forbidden topic/ship in the server, if they post stuff about it on Tumblr, Twitter, or ao3, they usually end up getting attacked in the server or just straight-up banned.

The servers I had/have good times had few if any forbidden tropes/topics/ships. If anything, it was only asked they only got mentioned in certain channels. The few times any wank came up, it got shut down within the same day.

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for navigating fandom on Tumblr (and I avoid fandom spaces on Instagram and Twitter). I tend to just keep to myself on here, only ever talking to 2 or 3 people and not even all that much.

I hope you're okay, #4234. I'm in a small fandom, too, and I know that gossip runs rampant, so people end up hearing about callouts, even if they don't see the actual post. I've never been in that situation, so I don't know if this is good advice or not, but I'd suggest only sticking to talking to a few people for now. There will be some people who will refuse to interact with you, but even if others aren't actively reaching out, there are others who don't believe the callout, whether cuz they know the person posting it isn't credible or they've become skeptical when it comes to callout posts in general. So there will still be people willing to hear you out, if you choose to stay in that fandom and try making friends in it again.

Definitely close your asks (or at least close anon) if you haven't done that already, and depending on the level of harassment you're getting, I'd suggest making your posts nonrebloggable. I'm not sure if you're a creator in the fandom, so I know it can hurt to keep creating and not get any notes, but it's better than people reblogging your art, edits or writing only to add hurtful comments to keep harassing you.

I might not know who you are, but I'm rooting for you and hope you'll find a space in fandom (current one or another fandom if you decide to move on) that welcomes you.

MAJOR CHANGES TO THIS BLOG

So this might get lengthy, but I promise everything I'm writing here is very important. So I do ask that you read it.

Apple and Yeong are on hiatus. I've gotten to where I don't enjoy writing them nearly as much anymore, and so threads with them are going to be absolutely insanely selective. Basically, the ideas I had in mind for them just aren't working and I don't have passion for them at the moment. It is what it is, and I apologize to everyone who was interacting with them. This means that memes directed towards them more than likely are going to go unanswered.

If there hasn't been a thread reply in a month, I'm considering it dropped. It doesn't matter who's turn it was to reply, I've just realized if it's taking that long to get a response, even from the busiest of people, then there just isn't any interest anymore. Either you've lost interest, or I've lost interest. It doesn't mean the ship itself is dropped, because that may not be the case. It just means interest somewhere has been lost, and that's how I'm interpreting it. I've gotten an idea of how my partners respond, and even at the slowest I can usually get one or two replies from them within a month. Though, most of my threads have been dormant for much longer than that.

My replies in general are going to be a lot more selective, as well as who I choose to write starters for. I do my best to go over blogs that I haven't followed, and I'll keep doing that. So if I don't write you a starter, it means that I'm not interested in interacting. It's not going to matter how many times you like a starter call, I'm not going to magically be interested. I want interactions, I would LOVE to have more interactions I can actually enjoy instead of forcing myself to do them, but sometimes there's people I just can't see myself getting along with in terms of writing.

I do have a page linked that's a list of plot ideas I have for my muses, and I would seriously love to do some of them. Actually do some of them, but I'm also very open to plotting out something else entirely with people. If you have an idea you think could work, feel free to send me a message.

I know I'm coming off sounding like a bitch with this post, but it's because I'm starting to get a bit disheartened honestly. There are stories and such to my muses, what shapes them into something more than just some Kpop faceclaim and it's feeling more and more like that doesn't matter. They're cute, so let's interact and vaguely toss in the story. I feel like with so much that I'm almost forcing my characters story into the RP, when that shouldn't be the case because it's their existence. I don't throw characters into the void just because I want to use a faceclaim. It can take me hours to days to find a proper faceclaim for the character I have in mind that I'm wanting to create. Which means that not every story is meant to be this happy-go-lucky, everything's perfect world. Yes, I know RP is meant to be an escape, and not everyone has the same escape. However, I love writing. I create these characters with so much more to them in mind, and so far 90% of it's just gone to waste. Which is what's led to Yeong and Apple being put on hiatus. They're popular, which is great, but it's also like...I'm just not doing anything with them. Yeah, there's threads and stuff, but I'm not doing anything with them. YES, that is partially my responsibility. It's absolutely my responsibility, and that's why I'm just not going to use them except in very selective interactions.

Okay, I'm done with the melodramatic shit now.

I did add another character, along with plots on the plot page. Hopefully. If I was able to edit the post properly. It's also been recently reblogged with Jisun's additions though.

Depends on what you mean by "old". Because I'm not always on the dash, I can sometimes check out a mutual's blog to see if I've missed ooc posts they could have posted in the like, last 24h, but that's all.

I prefer to do that off anon, especially for my mains and friends. And usually, I'll just compliment them when we're chatting ooc. Because I think if you like someone's writing, you should tell them. It's easy to assume the other person "knows" we like their writing, but in the end, it's just nice to tell people they're doing a great job, or you're loving a reply, or that a thread is really exciting etc. It's really part of what makes rp fun, getting to be enthusiastic about your mutuals' writing. But if a mutual reblogs one of those "anonymously tell me what you think about my writing" I'll sometimes play along and send the message on anon haha (but even then usually I'll do it off anon XD)

Roleplaying rules

The rules for roleplaying with my Muse are very simple:

✨This is a mature 18+ RP blog as the stories can go into all levels of details. I don't shy away from anything as long as you don't ask me to write gross topics.

✨Choose whichever style of roleplaying you want: it can be novella type writing, dialogue based writing (in which our Muses interact through message threads or asks), private messages roleplay (in which we dm each other in case you are shy or want the story to stay private).

✨The type of relationships that our Muses can pursue can be anything from friends, enemies, frenemies, lovers, friends with benefits, platonic relationship, familial bond (for example if you want our Muses to be siblings or cousins in a group RP), etc.

✨I'm usually the type to like cute, wholesome stories with fluff and adorable interactions (my strong games are writing romance and comedy), but I won't say no to angst, drama or action either (sometimes it can happen to catch me in an angsty mood, so yeah, I can def write heavier stuff too). Oh, and smut is perfectly fine with me, only thing to consider is that I might not know all kinks out there, but I can adapt fairly easy if you tell me what you'd like my Muse to do.

✨This is a side-blog, so unfortunately I won't be able to follow you back, so I hope this isn't an issue.

✨NO force shipping, please! Xuan is a rather complicated Muse compared to other Muses I have, which makes romancing him a rather difficult task, so don't expect any lovey-dovey stuff from him right away. I also take the chemistry approach, so if there's chemistry between our Muses, we could maybe talk things out through DMs for an eventual ship, but please, don't assume things beforehand.

✨No bullying and no hate topics! Everyone should be nice to everyone and I'm trying to create a friendly environment, so I won't partake in topics involving harassing or slandering other RP accounts. As for the RP stories, we can pursue heavier topics, but please don't turn those into the main focus of the plot.

✨I like the idea of separate universes for each roleplay so in case more people want to pursue my Muse romantically, they shouldn't get jealous/feel as if their Muse is cheated on with another person's Muse since the stories won't intersect. We can do group RPs too, but for the instances in which there are more universes intersecting, we need to decide this beforehand to establish the relationship statuses between the Muses involved.

✨We can interact between Muns too, I am always open to making new friends so don't hold back from sending me a message if you want. ^^

✨I am a university student in my last year, so my schedule is pretty hectic, so replies will most likely be slow, but I will try my best to reply in due time to our threads! If it takes me longer to reply, it might just mean I am busy with working on homework or projects, or that I am stuck at my lectures or seminars (during the week). In no shape or form would I ignore you.❤

✨I am an artist, so from time to time I might update this blog with original artwork for my Muse and other Muses too. If a drawing isn't credited as belonging to someone else, it means it's original artwork drawn by me and I'll most often point it out through an A/N in the post, so if you want to repost my artwork, please ask for permission beforehand and always credit me in your repost. Other than that, reblogs are okay in my book for anything that's on here.

i like anons throw em my way ic or ooc, but misuse the anon function and you lose the privilege of being a faceless horror-terror that gives Dustin nightmares.

i’m not going to say no drama because humans as a species are the biggest drama-mongers of the earthly organisms. but i will avoid engaging in it like the plague. i do not tolerate hateful and/or aggressive behaviour. i don’t care why, to who, or what about. calm. down. this is a fucking hobby.

02 : DON’T BE A PUSHY DICK.

the muse is not the mun, if my answer’s no then it’s no. if you pester/nag me after saying no, i’ll just block you. my post length will vary and no i don’t expect you to match or vise versa. i don’t really fancy up posts for rp replies that’s too much effort i’m here to write you know?

i am disabled physically, neurologically, and psychologically; that along with other IRL circumstances mean that i will be slow. i may need to take breaks from rping, not have the focus for this specific muse, and i might forget things. i don’t mind the occasional poke if you feel i’ve forgotten a thread or an ask etc, but please be patient with me.

do not get angry with me that i roleplay to my comfort. if i don’t meet your expectations i don’t want to hear it, just find another cove to sail.

03 : DON’T BE A GROSS DICK.

dustin is a minor in official canon and in my canon. i ain’t shipping him with anyone outside his age range, and i sure as fuck ain’t shipping right off the bat. i don’t know you, therefore i don’t trust you, to write that kinda dynamic with you. any romantic/affectionate content will be light PG-13 if not straight-up PG. if you try and sneak in suggestive or NSFW shit i will thanos snap your creative motivation. and block you.

i may unfollow blogs that have a highly frequent amount of such content on their blog.
