I was honored to write and recite a nasheed (or poem?) for the special occasion. If I knew how to post audio on Tumblr I’d put it here, but here are the lyrics:
Eid-e-Ghadeer: The Greatest Day of the Year
Eid-e-Ghadeer is one of the most important holidays in the Shia Muslim calendar.
It commemorates the event of Ghadir Khumm when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) is said to have appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor.
The event of Ghadir Khumm took place on the 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic…
Was scrolling through your blog (coz wow! A shia! And also I'm depressed and should be going to bed)
And saw the Christmas ask you got
Idk about Muslims celebrating Christmas, but we do celebrate Jesus's bday, right? Dahwal Ardh! 25th Zilqad!
Prophet Isa (Jesus) shares his Islamic bday with Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and Dahwal Ardh?
So that's Jesus' bday that we do celebrate :)
OH I TOTALLY FORGOT, you're right, we do celebrate Jesus the Prophet's (a) birthday and I recall reciting a particular du'a during that time. I guess it's not equally emphasised as compared to Eid al-Ghadeer and Eid al-Thaqalayn, which is why I didn't remember it all that well.
May the Shafa'at of Fatima az-Zahra (s.a) be with you in your times of difficulty, my friend.
May your heart be filled with happiness and joy on this blessed Eid and occasion for remembering the Holy Prophet (as) and Imam Ali, the Commander of the Faithful (as).
🍃🕊🍃 Thy flesh is my flesh and thy blood is my blood, Thou hearest what I hear and Thou seest what I see save that there is no apostle after me... I and Ali are from the same Divine Light……

Farhat Al-Zahra (the Happiness of Fatima Al-Zahra),
Eid Al-Ghadeer Al-Thani (the Second Eid Al-Ghadeer),
Eid Al-Baqr (the Eid of the Stabbing ), and
Eid Al-Shuja (the Eid of the Brave One),
_This blessed day marks the celebratory death anniversary of the greatest enemy of Allah, His Messenger and the Ahlul-Bayt,_
Explaining the meaning of Eid Al-Baqr (the Eid of the Stabbing), the Marje, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Al-Rouhani (may Allah lengthen his life) says:
"The day of Al-Baqr (the stabbing) refers to the day of the cutting open of the stomach of an enemy of Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). That enemy is the one who oppressed her, attacked her, squeezed her (between the door), and caused the miscarriage of her unborn son, resulting in her martyrdom - and this is what has been reported extensively in the books of both groups (i.e. the Shia and the "Sunni"). And surely the stomach of that enemy was cut open on 9th Rabbi Al-Awwal at the hands of the great Taabi'ee, Abu Lulu Al-Nahawandi Al-Madani. So the Shia celebrate this day as the day of Eid Al-Baqr, because they believe that Allah (Glorious and Exalted is He), on this day, took revenge for Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) from those who oppressed her, and offended her sanctity, by cutting his stomach and ripping it apart."
