I think I'm at the point where I don't actually need exchristian content, I just enjoy having the occasional reminders that I'm not alone in my anger

OH THE SCATTERED APPROPRIATED HEBREW IS A MENNONITE THING? A bunch of the "non-denominational" churches I grew up in did that and I'd been wondering why so few ex-fundies I met in the wild knew what tf I was talking about wrt the various Names Of God

It's more than just Mennonites but yes, Mennonites do *do that*. Some other sects of Christian do as well, so I'm specifically talking about Mennonites because that's how I was raised. My specific church was also "non-denomonational" but like. It's Lancaster. When my "nondenom" church was preaching literally the same thing as the teachers in my tinyass Mennonite private school, you can just say Mennonite at that point 🙄

one thing i do like about not being catholic/christian anymore is that i don’t feel like i always have to keep my mouth shut and not say what i think for fear of disrespecting the lord out loud (versus in my head which i could just gaslight myself into believing i didn’t think)
