I am well aware this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I really wish people who have a problem with her would just go away already. I am not trying to defend every single thing she's ever done, but there seems to be a large portion of this "fandom" that is always going to refuse to forgive or move past anything, and the fact that they don't just leave is so frustrating, esp bc they always end up the loudest voices in the room. I think it's almost certain that the reason she never released that ama was bc she was inundated with hate mail, or at the very least people being troll-y and annoying. If you're not having fun, you can just leave. Leave some space for those of us who actually still want to be here.

I just discovered her stuff, I found "nothing" here on Tumblr and it has been so fucking weird looking at what happend to this woman. I read the master post of all the fucked shit she did and fuck me that's sad. Her art is great. The book is superb, I bought a used first edition hardcover.

It's been really weird to stumble across the corpse of a fandom that used to be. Like the remenants of a party that you arrived for too late. Wish I could have been here when it was good.

It's sad. The amount of work she put into crafting countless stage props from 2008 tours, to several sets of costumes, to album shoots, graphics and fun looking websites. Even unrelated small crafty stuff from Willow Tech House and perfumes/cosmetics. The music, ofc. And then… reselling Taobao tier shit. Selling fucking letters and numbers as NFTs. And then the last "creative" thing in her career was typing prompts into AI programs. Fuck this I'm bitter about how it all ends.

I was thinking and it seems to me that she wasn’t much of a virtuoso with violin. I think that she wrote face the wall as a token instrumental music to play live to prove she’s a great composer and master. Yes we also got Unlaced part of the album but all of the music is heavy edited with all the multi track and drums, she was placing her bets on Face the wall only as it’s the only “raw” electric violin piece. She’s a great performer but she either never loved heavy violin that much or she wasn’t sure if she could pull off super speedy shredding live OR she didn’t know how to write single track captivating electric violin piece. I love her violins but she has surprisingly little of them considering she presented herself as a violinist singer

Sometimes I feel like it never happened. Opheliac is obviously ancient, 1000 years BM (before musical) times, Enchant is prehistoric. The forum, the Reform, The Devil's Carnival float of cringe, The Crumpets fallouts, everything. All these people who jumped the ship along the way. But I mean even FLAG era. Even 2015/2016 era of audiobook scam and cheap ebay ribbon necklaces. It seems so long ago that I feel like I just hallucinated everything

In my heart, I know we all have to let go of the asylum, and of EA. I know that the musical probably won't ever happen. It's likely we will never have a new album to celebrate. More than likely, Emilie doesn't love her plague rats anymore. She certainly showed us how much respect she has for our collective intelligence with that recent AI stunt. I know she doesn't owe us a single damn thing, but it still hurts to think about the community she could have fostered. We could have all grown together, and healed together, but now it all just feels so far away and long ago.

For someone who claims to have written a tell all, nothing left out, all the gory details type memoir she has literally never gone into any amount of detail regarding anything personal aside from, like, what she used to self harm with and that she took lithium. There’s so little actual content about her personal life in her book it’s crazy. Absolutely no information about her relationships expect they were bad. Nothing about her family life except it was bad. There’s so little storytelling it’s insane. She wants the cred of being brutally honest and open with none of the risk or exposure. It’s really strange.

At this point i'd welcome anything that isn't musical related. Not even speaking of violin music, i'm realistic. But if she released a harpsichord album, i'd be great. She knows how to write these short, easy baroque harpsichord pieces. So even half-assed EP of short, basic ass instrumentals like on Your Sugar Sits Untouched with maybe minimalistic background would make me happy. I think a lot of us would be

One of the things that bugs me about her fatphobia is the fact that bipolar meds often make you put on weight. And she knows this! She parodied it in her fake lithium ad! So the people she's calling "morbidly obese" might just be dealing with exactly the same problem she is. But I guess in her view it's better to be suicidally depressed than a size large.
