Clover enjoyed her time at the Festival of Masks. She loved tasting all the food being sold. Her favourites are the Kitakami Fried Noodles and Candy Razz Berry! She has an insane spice tolerance. She also got addicted to playing the Ogre Oustin game. Clover eventually gets the highest score and wins the shiny Munchlax.

Here's Laurel wearing a Blueberry Academy uniform!

Laurel is Clover's older cousin. She attended high school at Paldea's Uva Academy. Her excellent grades in Battle Studies class have caught Director Cyrano's attention. As a result, Laurel became an exchange student at Blueberry Academy.

During her time as an exchange student, she learned all about weather teams and speed control. Laurel uses this knowledge to perfect her own rain team. (She was inspired to specialize in rain teams by her godparents, Auntie Nessa and Uncle Raihan.)

Laurel dreams of running Galar's Battle Tower someday and continuing her father's legacy.

Clover's Adventures in Kitakami

Clover went on the field trip to Kitakami alongside Florian. This is her last school trip before she has to go back home to Galar.

Clover was fascinated by all the nature around her. She's excited about meeting pokemon she has never seen before.

For their assignment, Clover got paired up with Carmine, and Florian became Kieran's partner.

Clover was a little intimidated by Carmine's attitude towards outsiders. She tried not to take anything personally.

Since Carmine refused to go to the last 2 sign boards, Clover spent her time alone completing most of the Kitakami pokedex.

While in Mossui town, she met Perrin. Clover was intrigued by Perrin's tale about the Blood Moon Beast and wanted to help her out. However, Perrin noticed that Clover seemed busy with her school trip, so she told her that she'll be patiently waiting for her.

At the Festival of Masks, Clover tried all the food being sold. Her favourites are the Kitakami Fried Noodles and Candy Razz Berry. She has an insane spice tolerance.

Clover also got addicted to the Ogre Oustin game. She spent most of the evening playing and got the highest score, thus winning a shiny Munchlax.

Florian, Carmine, and Clover witnessed Ogerpon dropping its mask.

After learning the truth about Ogerpon, Clover despised the Loyal Three. She wanted to tell Kieran everything, but Carmine stopped her. She begrudgingly agrees to keep the true story a secret.

Clover and Carmine had just finished taking pictures of the last 2 sign boards when Kieran punched the Loyal Three Monument and unknowingly resurrected Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti.

Florian, Carmine, and Clover went on to defeat the titan sized Loyal Three. Carmine was impressed by Clover's creative strategies during all of the battles.

In the end, Clover was happy for Florian after he caught Ogerpon. She is also glad that the villagers genuinely apologized to Ogerpon.

Clover was sad about saying goodbye to Carmine. They became such good friends despite everything. They agree to stay in touch.

With everything taken care of, Clover met back up with Perrin. They went to the Timeless Woods in search of Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Clover enjoyed taking photos for the survey.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna was a formidable opponent. Clover won all thanks to a few critical hits from her Sniper Inteleon. She was thrilled about catching such a strong pokemon.

Perrin thanked Clover and gave her a Hisuian Growlithe. She hopes that they'll meet again someday. Clover promises Perrin that they will.

For the rest of her time in Kitakami, Clover went on to catch an Artisan Sinistcha and shiny hunt for an Applin. She wants a shiny Dipplin so badly. It took her 6 sparkling power sandwiches to find the shiny.

On her 15th birthday, Clover receives an acceptance letter from Uva Academy for a one year exchange student program. She and Wooly are excited about traveling to Paldea.

So, I got a really cute idea. Both mother and daughter have shiny evolutions of Applin.

This is my way of saying that Clover has a shiny Dipplin to match with Gloria's shiny Appletun. (Hop gave Gloria a shiny Applin. The postwick shipper in me is still alive, lol.)

Anyways, Clover shiny hunted for a Dipplin during a school trip to Kitakami, and she brought it back with her to Galar.

Upon arriving home to Wedgehurst, Clover introduces her shiny Dipplin to her parents. The 16 year old girl gets a little dramatic when she learns about the origins of her mother's Appletun.

Clover: Mum, Dad! I want you to meet my Dipplin. He's a shiny gold apple!

Gloria: Your Dipplin's so cute! I hope he gets along well with my shiny Appletun.

Clover: I hope so, too.

Clover (full of curiosity): Dad, how long did it take you to find Mum a shiny Applin when you were around my age?

Hop: Back then, I never intended to go on a shiny hunt. I encountered a shiny Applin while I was doing a survey at Lake Axewell. The shiny Applin lost its home. I felt bad about Applin's situation, so I planted a new tree for it to live in.

Hop: The next thing I knew, Applin gave me permission to catch it. I guess you could say that Applin saw me as a good person and wanted to join me.

Clover (surprised): Huh?!?! Dad, you got a full odds shiny Applin by coincidence.

Clover (in disbelief): You and Mum named me after a good luck charm. It's ironic that I've had such a hard time with shiny hunting!

Clover (lamenting): It took me 3 days to find my own shiny Applin. I almost drove myself crazy, looking at apple trees for a green Applin. The people of Mossui Town were worried about me.

Hop: Please don't feel bad, sweetie. I'm not bragging about anything at all. I only meant to tell you the origin story of your mother's Appletun.

Gloria: Your father means well. Actively searching for a shiny pokemon takes a lot of effort. We're proud of your determination.

Clover: Don't worry, I know.

* Happy chirps fill the room as Clover's Dipplin and Gloria's Appletun get to know each other.*

Clover: Would you look at that! My Dipplin has become fast friends with Mum's Appletun!

Growing up, Laurel enjoys visiting her relatives in Wedgehurst during the summer. Here are some fun scenarios with Laurel and Clover:

She and Clover love helping their Nana herd the Wooloo into the pastures. Laurel calls her younger cousin "Wooloo Whisperer" because all of the Wooloo seem to obey Clover immediately.

Laurel is awestruck when she meets her aunt and uncle's legendary wolves. She simply adores all canine pokemon! However, Laurel is hesitant about petting Zacian and Zamazenta. Her thought process is like, "Is it really okay for me to treat Galar's legendary pokemon like Yampers? I don't want to disrespect them!"

Clover is quick to pick up on Laurel's hesitation. "Don't worry, Zaci and Zama love pets! They're very friendly!"

Thanks to Clover's reassurance, Laurel relaxes and starts affectionately petting the legendaries. Zacian and Zamazenta show their gratitude by snuggling up to Laurel. Clover's so happy that the wolves like her older cousin.

In the past, I mentioned that Ranger!Clover has an intense death glare reminiscent of that of Zacian and Zamazenta's. She only shows off this glare when she's enraged by the mistreatment of wild pokemon. Her Inteleon and Rapid Strike Urshifu help to intimidate illegal hunters and poachers.

I just wanted to add that Clover's Bloodmoon Ursaluna also helps out with the intimidation. One look from Ursaluna causes most hunters and poachers to surrender immediately.

Laurel's Childhood Headcanons

I realized that I hadn't talked much about my lionheartshipping daughter's childhood. Well, now's the time to change that.

When she was little, Laurel had a Yamper themed bedroom. There were Yamper motifs everywhere.

Needless to say, Yamper is Laurel's favourite pokemon. She also has a very close bond with her mother's Yamper.

On her 8th birthday, Laurel receives a shiny Yamper from her parents. Leon asked Hop for some help while shiny hunting.

Her favourite accessory is a snap back cap with a tiara logo.

Instead of fairytales, Laurel wants to read "Galar: A History" as her bedtime story. This warms Sonia's heart.

Laurel has a huge passion for all things related to pokemon battles. At age 10, she decided that her dream was to help her father run the Battle Tower. She is very adamant about it.

Clover (nerding out): I mean, have you seen the biodiversity within that dome? There are so many biomes and unique pokemon all under one roof.

Laurel (exasperated): Okay,okay, I get it.I promise to photograph all the scenery inside the Terrarium. I'll also send you completed dex entries for any pokemon I encounter during my time there. Do we have a deal?

Clover: Yes, absolutely! To make it up to you, I'll tell you everything about Kitakami's legends.

Laurel: Great! Looks like we're all set! Have fun and stay safe out there.

Laurel's Gym Challenge

When she was 12, Laurel went on a journey across Galar and challenged all the gyms. Her team consists of Shiny Boltund, Dragapult, Gmax Blastoise, Tsareena, Midday Lycanroc, and Metagross.

Quick sidenote: Laurel's younger cousin, Clover (age 10 at the time), is her biggest fan.

Turffield: Laurel had to make use of coverage moves to take down Milo's Eldegoss. Fire Fangs from Boltund and Lycanroc came in handy.

Hulbury: Boltund swept through Goldeen and Arrokuda. Steenee took down Nessa's Drednaw.

Motostoke: Wartortle knocked out Kabu's Centiskorch with Max Geyser.

Stow-on-Side: Drakloak took out most of Allister's team. Lycanroc won against Gengar.

Ballonlea: Laurel answered all of Bede's quiz questions correctly. Metang sweep for the win!

Circhester: It took the combined efforts of Tsareena and Boltund to take down Melony's Gmax Lapras.

Spikemuth: Lycanroc's Close Combat took down most of Marnie's team, while Metagross knocked out Grimmsnarl.

Hammerlocke: Blastoise took down Gigalith and Sandaconda. Teamwork from Dragapult and Metagross was necessary for Laurel to defeat Raihan's Duraludon.

Ranger!Clover is the only pokemon ranger in Galar who uses a Cyclizar to travel around the Wild Area.

Most of her coworkers are somewhat envious of her because they're stuck riding on Rotom bikes, which are much slower compared to a Cyclizar.

Clover feels bad about this. Her response to the situation is: "I spent a year in Paldea during high school as an exchange student, and this motorcycle dragon decided to become my friend. If it makes everyone feel better, I promise to use my Rotom bike more often."

Despite her promise of using a Rotom bike, Clover still uses her Cyclizar for transportation, albeit only during urgent rescue missions and emergencies.
