Here to put an end to "the show ends with Kendall in the ocean" theories using my unhinged-detective style work to prove that Kendall is still having involved scenes in 4x09, and the ocean stuff is 4x06.

Very slight spoilers ahead, but if you live on tumblr you will have seen these photos before.

Will Arbery, one of the writers and a co-producer, posted this the day after the following still came out, saying "our influence" in reference to the ocean:

Today, 4/16, he posted this:

"My episode 6," so the ocean must be in episode 6. You might question what the angel emoji is in reference to- I'm assuming Lorene. It's not Kendall, because:

These Kenrava photos are from January 10th, which is when they were starting filming on Logan's funeral episode, and obviously, Kendall is still here:

I know that was the funeral episode because of this still from the video of Kendall holding the church door for someone with flowers, when Kendall is in the same outfit as he is above. This was 100% the funeral location.

The funeral is either in 4x08 or 4x09. I know that because one of the weekends I did background acting, the weekend of February 3rd, we were near that church, which was still blocked off as a set, and there was a hearse in the scene. The other weekend I did it, we filmed a scene that took place later in the same canon day, and we were told that that was 4x09.

Here is a picture I took the weekend of February 3rd of the hearse Mark Mylod was in with the camera. It had this purple flag that said "funeral" on it:

Basically, my point is that Kendall is still having involved scenes in 4x08/4x09, and the ocean scenes are in 4x06.

(yes, Brian was at the funeral when his character was gone, but they didn't film an entire Kenrava drama scene just to throw off paparazzi- the church would have been enough. Kendall makes it).

In conclusion, him standing in the ocean is not the last shot of the show and he makes it out of there fine. And in case you were concerned that he goes to the ocean twice, this terrifying shot features the exact same unique sky and lighting as the standing-in-the-ocean shot, so they happened on the same day, meaning this was also in 4x06 and Kendall is still fine in episodes after that.
