@fulguritte asked . ‘ it’s the only way to be sure. ’ eyyy
the only noise of confirmation was the rapid clicking noises of the keyboard glowing in the depths only artificial light illuminating between the screens. they stopped for a moment before a pling was heard most likely from the other kindreds phone.

Silco, what brought together your business alliance with councilor von Lidenbrock? ;)
Tumblr media
SHIMMER INQUIRY | ANONYMOUS
Tumblr media
Fingers tapped idly onto his desk as a hooded figure entered his office. Of course, another citizen who wanted to inquire something. Though, as soon as he heard those words fall from their lips, followed by a wink, a faint smile curled up. “Councillor von Lindenbrock?” He echoed after them. Eyes began to gleam with a sinister delight, as he was once again reminded by a particular meeting with the beau.
Tumblr media
A low huff in amusement escaped The Eye of Zaun, eyes gleaming. “Councillor von Lindenbrock and I have an intimate work relationship.” Silco began. “She does what is best for Piltover, and she helps me with all the business between Piltover and Zaun. She and I are working on a… better relationship between the two nations.”
Ever since he had established his lifelong goal, The Nation of Zaun, he had bought himself into the Council. After all, the previous one had offered him a seat. Though, this time, he did not have to turn Jinx in, for it would create more chaos between the two sister cities. War. It ripped the nations apart. And yet, Silco, and Bea, were determined to mend the relationship. Though, with how intimate the two had become, it seemed that Silco was rather… fond of the young woman. It was such a shame to find out she was married. However, perhaps he could get rid of the husband one way or another, or he would tie him up and make him watch how the industrialist merely took his wife. Silco had yet to decide.

“Sure.” Beatrice can’t help but let out a quiet, dull chuckle. Even if the sound itself is easy to miss, the expression stays, one corner of her lips upturned as she looks up at the other to continue. “After all this time, we’re finally able to stop ourselves from falling at each other’s throats like the beasts we are… at least for a while… If that’s beautiful to you.”
A  certain  condescending  silence  lingered  in  the  air  after  the  other's  statements.  He  had  to  agree  that  no  metaphor  could  explain  with  complete  accuracy  all  the  context  that  surrounded  their  present  situation.  Whether  by  his  usual  discipline  or  mere  aloofness;  Stillness  is  a  facade  for  a  working  mind,  pondering  about  the  details  that  had  brought  both  those  individuals  to  this  particular  encounter.  Cainite  came  back  from  his  thoughts  after  a  short  close  of  eyelids,  directing  the  narrowed,  piercing  gaze  to  his  fortuitous  interlocutor.     ❛❛  And  why  wouldn’t  it  be? ❜❜    Distance  between  the  eyebrows  is  shortened,  yet  the  countenance  remains  courteous.  Letting  only  this  theatrical  confusion  surface  should  be  enough.      ❛❛  It  contraries  all  expectations  it’s  almost  ------------------  poetic,  hm? ❜❜

@fulguritte cont. from here.
Even though she really wants to, Beatrice doesn’t ask what prompted this confession. Instead, she goes with the next thing that comes to her mind, the initial puzzlement still somewhat visible in her expression as she does so.
“I’m… sure you do. Why?”
The moment he’d noticed her, he moved to stand beside her with the intention of introductions. Though the Tremere were an especially secretive clan, he had managed to catch drift of an interesting apprentice matching her description. LaCroix couldn’t help but grow curious. Though he was not facing her, he could see her puzzlement in the corner of his eye and couldn’t help but smile. “There’s no telling what... misinformation might have been passed your way. I wouldn’t want anyone to paint you the wrong picture.”

‘ better yet, ‘ serena mused, perhaps more to herself than beatrice, ‘ cut off his arms and beat him to death with them. ‘ the night yawned black above them, those two finely featured women sharing close space on a park bench as the kine walked around them, unaware of the danger in their midst. but serena has devoted her centuries to research and introspection; it has been a long time since she’s given in to her darker side.
holding finely boned hands in her lap, she looked out over the space, where a homeless man begged for change on the corner, a couple shared affection on a low wall in front of a statue, a man waited for a taxi. ‘ but then again, that would be giving in to a base instinct. ‘

Negotiations
@fulguritte
It was getting to be a damn fetch quest by now. All he was trying to do was get a dangerous artifact out of the wrong hands but he was three stages deep into the trade and anticipating at least a fourth.
The current owner was using it for immortality and would only give it up for another means of the same. So Kal negotiated with a vampire associate of his, who agreed to sire her, but only if Kal could find someone to take care of his lover and thrall while he he was in England, getting the would-be childe established. Alistair had long ago fallen far out of favor with his own clan and she would need to be sent away to stay safe, put in the hands of another vampire to keep her healthy, and able to return to him. A tricky order.
His knowledge of vampires wasn’t extensive, but he knew enough to know he would have best luck with the Tremere. They were interested in magic and knowledge and Kal had plenty of that to trade. That also made them something of kindred spirits, which he hoped would give him an advantage.
So Kal found himself on the doorstep of a chantry in Washington. His family had had dealings with them and he hoped that would somehow help him get his foot in the door, but that so was many years ago and honestly, he had no idea what to expect or what exactly he was getting himself into. Even being this close to so many vampires was making his Geist flit about anxiously. It never much liked being around corpses, animate ones least of all. Kal, thankfully, was mostly numb to it.
It took some name dropping, including that of the previous regent, and fuckload of diplomacy, but eventually Kal was granted audience with the current regent.

SHIMMER INQUIRY ⎯ (@fulguritte).
Tumblr media
In confusion, Silco indeed lowered his gun as Bea bashed through his door. With a dazzling gaze, he looked at the brown-curled beauty. Ah, the councillor had found her way back to The Last Drop. It was clear it was of most utter importance if she herself came all the way from Piltover. A beauty like she wouldn't normally even dare to look at a Zaunite, let alone visit one in its cave.
Tumblr media
His head cocked to the side, humming as he watched her getting closer to his desk. "Lady von Lidenbrock." He uttered as his gaze grew that of one rather... playful. His charming smile grew a tad bit more at the sight and the memory of her. A low chuckle even seemed to even escape his lips, something so genuine for a man that was so deceitful. "What is the news that you are so eager to share with me? I almost thought you came back to continue where we left off last meeting." His eyebrow cocked up at his own comment as his visage showed more and more mischief. He would not mind tasting her sweet nectar onto his lips. It after had awoken a part of him that he managed to push down for so long; Aphrodisia.

“And what does that possibly say about you?” It starts serious, but this impression fades as soon as she uncrosses her arms and lets a softer expression take over. “What does that say about any of us, really? We’ve all got it in our blood. It’s how we choose to handle it… and the aftermath… that counts.”
He remained in silent contemplation, finding that answer... admirable at the very least. Being someone very well aware that actions have consequences, perhaps his first comment was only an unpretentious remark; With a bit of luck, the kindred could have taken a small laugh from the Regent. However, what is seen in his face now is the subtle twitch of eyebrows, as if giving a second thought about what is about to be said; ❝ Not everyone seems to have had the chance to choose though...  ❞ He muttered in response; What are you saying, Raphael? It's not like you have never greed the position and power you have now. ❝ In any case, milady, you're right, although I doubt we can rely solely on self-control at times like this. ❞

☣   ᴩʀᴇᴠɪᴏᴜꜱʟy  on⠀»⠀@fulguritte :
indulgentia asked:  ❛❛ I was wondering, Your Ladyship, hypothetically speaking, and hypothe- ti-ally only... If a vampire uses Thaumaturgy around a mortal and the said mortal thinks they're a mage and NOT a vampire, does it count as violation of the Traditions? ❜❜ Junior doesn't hesitate on the slightest, his face and his speech firm, but his words are too specific to be only a random case.
Tumblr media
“Well, that… depends.” Beatrice decides to take the slower, more cautious approach, even though she already has her own suspicions regarding the origins of this question. “In most cases, I would say it is indeed a violation. But, hypothetically speaking,” The corners of her lips lift up in a smirk as she continues, a clear wink at Junior’s wording, “You could also take into consideration such factors as, I don’t know… were there any other witnesses? Who exactly has used the discipline?… That kind of stuff.”
Resting her chin on her folded hands, she then asks a question of her own: “Has that satisfied your courage, or would you like to review this kind of situation in detail?”
❛❛ I see. ❜❜  Apprentice nods in agreement, still looking quite serious, firm expression without even trembling an inch, indicating deep thought. He is by no means withdrawn or even shy while talking, even though the matter at hand is far more delicate than anyone would like it to be. Being who and what he was, redhead was far too well aware of the consequences of any misconduct. However, in the name of knowledge, some missteps here and there are inevitable.    ❛❛ Well, if no one else saw it, ❜❜    all of the witness obviously dead, with the exception of the mortal in question, of course,    ❛❛ no one else has to worry, right? ❜❜   An unconcerned shrug ended his sentence. In fact, he seemed to even laugh at the present context, be it for the stupid question, or for that boldness of his to ask.    ❛❛ No need for details, I'm just asking in case I need to use it against anyone in the future, ❜❜    Continued he, seemingly innocent and now acquiring hints of theatrical hesitancy.   ❛❛ Unless Your Ladyship desires to use her experience to advise me --------- ? ❜❜

“Join Me”
Leave a “Join Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a drabble about my character giving your character an offer
Ashes fell from his fingertips, the closest he could come to the flickering embers of true flame without the possibility of catching fire himself. His cigarette butt crashed into the puddles left by the endless rains of London, crushing the small dead thing underneath his boot heel even when it was so unnecessary. Water splashed up just enough to seep into the thick socks he wore, though it couldn’t make him any colder. He’d abstained from his hunger just enough to stave off the rage it set in him when starvation proved too harsh a lover. Yongguk hadn’t expected to find her on this assignment, though it being a Tremere had put the thought into his head one too many times. Manipulating his hunger helped create a masterful drive and focus, but facing her threatened to break his control. “It would be stupid of me to assume you don’t know why I’m here….” If she tried to impede his work, Yongguk wasn’t sure he could hold himself back from moving through her. “Perhaps you don’t know who I’m here for, it’s better if you don’t. I just need you to stay out of my way, in fact, it’s best if you pretend I’m not even here. You never saw me.”
There was a grating edge to his voice as he spoke, the depth of his timbre broken into a gravel that would leave shred flesh. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”  Beatrice wasn’t the sort to be ordered by him, and her skepticism cutting through his veiled threats.
“Look, I’m not getting into an argument about this with you right now.” His head fell back, letting the pattering rain blur his vision of her, while she remained untouched beneath her umbrella only slightly inconvenienced by his demand to meet in the middle of a cemetery. It was cliche, but they wouldn’t be bothered there and he could keep track of everything around them better here. “I can’t really give you any details, as you know, but this is important. I have a lot riding on this one. I need you to look the other way…. for me. If this goes well, I can protect you. I’ll make sure that anyone who moves against you meets the true death.”
What might have been a halfhearted wager to her, was everything he had. This hit would push him into rather prestigious ranks, though he’d always been a bit of a golden child. She wouldn’t like it, and he knew that, but if he could pull her into this alliance with him, sway her into the arms of a killer of killers, he could do anything.
