Thinking to myself about why I chose to make njoki a star trek & a sonic fan specifically cause I knew I wanted her to have "nerdy" interests but kind of picked those 2 things just based on vibes not rly knowing a huge amount about either of them at the time, and I think the answer is that they're both franchises that are deeply flawed in places and sometimes considered ""cringe"" but they're usually very earnest even in the places when they might not be generally considered Good. There's a very sincere tone to them usually that I think is true to her as a character..... it resonates

I was thinking abt su fusions earlier cause they're a fun concept and obvs was like ok I'm gonna apply this to my own ocs right. And the conclusion I've come to is that njoki and nerine Could have a stable fusion despite my initial thoughts but they would be a wild person to interact with bc you'd ask them what they thought of smth they would be smiling while saying "I've never hated anything more in my life :)"

Also apparently it's webcomic day? So I feel like I should be making a post about my webcomic project but like..... what can I say. It is in progress. I am about 75-80% done with the script. It's got a lot of lesbians in it & is about being a young adult with some normal problems like "I need to find a way to pay my rent on a minimum wage job" and some less normal problems like "I talked my way out of an untimely death and now my continued existence depends on being friends with the grim reaper and honestly they're kind of a downer". Coming to an internet near you at.... some point. Please look forward to it.

Trying to balance giving information necessary for plot complications vs saving that information to make later twists more impactful
